[Yu-Gi-Oh!] Tenebrus Institute for Gifted Students

Recommended Posts

Eek. I'm so nervous, this is the first RP I've tried to make on here. Thanks to all the people who PM me with questions about stuff I failed to mention!

All card info may be found HERE! Yugioh Wikia

PLOT:

Tenebrus Institute for Gifted Students, or TIGS as it is known by alumni and current attendees, is a large campus located west of Salem, Oregon, USA. The campus has many units corresponding to the types of education that are required, from buildings for the middle-school level students, the high-school level students and the university-level students, units for the staff, laboratory units and dormitory units. It has been around for a long time, since the day of Domino City, Japan, and still stands, many years after, even as Domino City was split into Neo Domino City and the Satellite District. TIGS is publicly known as an apparently elitist school with great prestige that will accept students from all over the world, and a tuition fee that is uncommonly high. Only those wealthy enough to afford the tab or those who the Principal has invited with a scholarship ever gain admission into the school. The competition is fierce; once they're in, it's a struggle to remain in the system.

Everyone who has heard of TIGS knows that this apparently elitist school is both expensive and prestigious. However, some of the alumni, if approached the right way, will speak of a secret that TIGS conceals. You see, TIGS has two class sets. The Day Class, which runs from 9am to 4pm, is well known. There is also a lesser-known Night Class that runs from 7 to 10. The Night Class is mysterious, and the subject of many campus rumours, for nobody knows what secrets they hide. The students, for all appearances, are just like the Day Class students, in fact, most of them attend the Day Class as well, but there is something undeniably "different" about them.

Indeed, the Night Class students are different. They all have a secret, a shared secret, but the Day Class does not, and cannot, know about it. Some of the Day Class have speculated that Night Class are for cram classes, some speculate that Night Class are the geniuses of the school. Those of Day Class that have stumbled on the secret, meaning to discover what was so special about the Night Class are never able to speak about it. For the Night Class' secret is that they all possess Shadow Magic, and the power to make the card game Duel Monsters real. Duel Monsters is, to most of society, a game fit for children and otakus, yet for these students, Duel Monsters is a reality. The Shadow Realm exists, and they alone know of the existence of a world in which fantastic creatures, powerful warriors and strong magicians live. Their power, and this knowledge, makes them freaks in the eyes of the general public. Each student in the Night Class was invited by the Principal, to come learn how to use their powers and become acquainted with these spirits in an environment where they will be accepted, free of charge.

Night Class is divided into two sub-classes, depending on their ability with Shadow Magic: The Starter's Class, also known as Zero Class (derogatory), and the "12-Levels" Class, also known as Star Classes. Starter's Class has always been a place for the students who have just discovered their powers to gain rudimentary control over their abilities, and if they have never played Duel Monsters before, to learn how the game is played. 12-Levels is where the real education begins, for it is here that not only Duel Spirits, but also Spells and Traps become a reality. These classes are not separated by year or grade, but on ability. In order to advance from Starter's to 12-Levels, a Starter must be in the company of a "Familiar", or an ally duel spirit.

A Familiar is a Duel Monster Spirit that the student must summon. They are sometimes guides and friends, helpers, or servants. Their existence in the physical plane is made possible by the magical energy of their summoner, and the special magic environment of TIGS. Familiars have two names. One name is the Card Name. That's the name that is printed on the Card, such as Celtic Guardian. The other name is something akin to a nickname: a Unique Name that distinguishes that Familiar as your own, for example, John calls his Celtic Guardian "Garreth". Normally the Familiar is brought into TIGS with a Summoning Contract that is made known to a student that has enough magic power to open the door to Monster's World and bring out their Familiar. Such a process can happen at any time which is not known to the student, so their stay in Starter's Class may be indefinite. However, as soon as they summon successfully, they are automatically registered in 12 Levels and erased from Starter's. However, the student must be careful. The contract won't disappear if they send the Familiar back to the Monster's World for a while, but there are people who can steal a Familiar. This is done with a spell that dissolves the Summoner-Familiar contract and creating another one between the Thief and the Familiar by using the Familiar's Unique Name. There are ways to reclaim a Stolen Familiar, however, this must be done within one lunar cycle- about 28 days, or there will be almost no hope of ever reclaiming them. Thieves are usually impatient or desperate people who want to get into 12-Levels but haven't gained the Contract Spell. There are, of course, always a few that steal out of sadistic pleasure, to show they have power over another student.

Day Class does not know about this...but that never stopped anyone from trying to find out. Night Class must guard their secrets well, especially from Day Class, for once Day Class finds out, they will be in danger. Night Class will sometimes have to deal with the occasional outbreak of monsters that take advantage of the shared Shadow Realm space... and this year, there are murmurings in the magic. Murmurings that, if they follow the history of disaster that Night Class has experienced, could mean another catastrophe at school.

"Good day, I am your Principal, Ms. Fong. Congratulations on your successful admission into Tenebrus Institute. This year is sure to be eventful and exciting, to say the least. Here are the school rules- I trust you will adhere to them so that everyone will have a positive experience here. Those of you in Night Class, meet in the Auditorium after your day classes are over."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

RP Rules:

1. No power-playing or god-modding. Ask permission before you kill/take control of another player's character.

2. Realistic characters please.

3. Romance and death are allowed, but PG-13, please.

4. No one-liners. 3-4 sentences per post at LEAST. It's semi-lit.

5. Respect other Players (you will, of course, won't you?)

6. PM me character sheets.

7. You can take any monster (fusions and synchros included) EXCEPT: Sacred Beasts, Egyptian Gods, Five-Headed Dragon and Exodia the Forbidden One. Keep in mind that the stronger the monster your familiar is, the stronger the magic you can do, but also, it's more difficult to keep them in the physical plane, since they're drawing off some of your energy to maintain a corporeal body.

8. You can give the role of your character's Familiar to another RPer. Some people think it's more fun. Familiars can choose NOT to be reclaimed if they like the Thief better.

9. Thieves: If you are going to steal a Familiar, let the student's RPer, and if applicable, the Familiar's RPer know, just so there won't be any fights or accusations of rule 1.

If you've read all this, put this password "Neo Domino" as your PM subject. I'll be changing the password every couple of weeks.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

School Rules: (i.e: You CAN break these.)

1. Night Class: Stealing other people's Familiars is not allowed. Doing so will earn you suspension the first time and (in universe) expulsion from Night Class for repeat offenses. Faculty who engage in this behaviour will be fired immediately.

2. Night Class: Don't try to sneak into 12- Levels if you're only in Starter's. Detention if you're caught.

3. Night Class: No unsupervised Shadow Duels on the premises. Doing so drains the school's Shadow Magic and a "magic blackout" means no magic classes for a week. There is a Duel Disk system in place, complete with holographic projectors. Feel free to use it.

3a. Tell a teacher if you're going to Monster's World. Failing to do so will prohibit you from further visits and detention. You need to ask permission during weekdays. Weekend and holiday visits don't require permission, but let somebody know so that if you get in trouble in the Monsters' World someone can go help you.

4. Do not vandalize school property.

5. Do not steal other students' belongings.

6. Computers and Internet are for research and work. Do not use it to download inappropriate material, including sexually explicit material, racially degrading, and pirated software. Also, refrain from uploading malware, viruses, files larger than 2GB and images without express permission of subjects. Doing so will result in the loss of computer privileges and additional disciplinary action.

7. Do not plagiarize. Plagiarism and cheating is a serious offense that will earn you a grade of zero on your assessments and possible expulsion from Tenebrus Institute.

8. Respect fellow students. Death threats and threats of bodily harm, extortion, coercion, etc. will be punished severely.

9. Dorms are gender segregated. Students caught in the wrong dorm house after curfew [Weekdays: 11:30pm, Weekends: 10pm] will receive detention.

Teachers are there to help. Don't be afraid to tell them if something is bothering you, especially if they involve renegade spirits. Also, disciplinary actions will be taken if school rules are broken, barring extraordinary circumstances.

Setting:

OVERWORLD:

TIGS is located West of Salem. It's a large campus, consisting of multiple buildings.

A Very Rough Map:

user posted image

Most of these are connected underground, with the exception of the dorms and the lab. The Ocean and Forest are part of the property. Buildings are fairly large- Admin/Night Class has about 14 floors, University has about 7 floors, High School has 3 floors and Middle School has 2 floors. Lab has total of 12 floors- five above and seven underground. There's a large range of restaurants in the cafe/eatery buildings, and the misc. supply area carries most things from groceries to banking to game stores. Admin floor is the main floor- it has the main office, gym/auditorium, security office and staff meeting rooms. One floor below that houses a server room. Some teachers' offices are in the main and basement floors. One floor above the main floor has the health center and Starter's Class. The 2nd to 11th floors each have the classrooms for one level of the 12-Level Classes. The 12th floor has the 11th and 12th Level Classrooms, since there are fewer of the Level 11 and 12 students.

Reminder: Day Class is from 9am-4pm, 4pm-6pm for clubs, 7:30am-8:30am for athletics, Night Class is from 7pm-10pm, but you still have to go to some Day Classes since Night Class only deals with Shadow Magic and Dueling-related items. Night Class does get field trips to Monsters' World sometimes.

The Day Class educational divisions are: Middle School teaches grade six-grade nine students, and High School teaches the grade ten to grade 12 students. University is organized into 1st-4th year, or up to whatever year you are if you are staying in University longer. In Night Class, Starter means you have no Familiar, Levels 1-12 are accessible once you have a Familiar. All buildings have Libraries, and at Night, these Libraries open the spellbook collection.

Middle School Library only has common "staple" spells, like Remove Trap, De-Spell, and Mystical Space Typhoon, most of which are single-target. High School has uncommon-rare spells, most of which have a range of up to five targets and includes field terrain spells. University has very rare spells, most of which are dangerous for level 1-5 students to cast, many of which can affect both the caster and the opponent, as well as having several effects.

UNDERWORLD/Shadow Realm/Monsters' World:

The entire dimension is known as the Shadow Realm, collectively. This area can be accessed by use of magical portals that are scattered throughout the campus, visible and usable only to the Night Class. Large portals are located in the supply building, in classrooms, and in the main office. Smaller portals are located in the downstairs linen closets of the girls' and boys' dorms, as well as in the Forest, in the backyards, in the Beach and there are even a few underwater. Large portals can move large numbers of people into the Shadow Realm at once, and smaller ones can only move a few at a time.

The Shadow realm has three major areas. The first is the Void. It's that great purple and black expanse that is somehow both dark and light at the same time. It looks as though it's filled with...something, but it is really quite empty. There are currents that lead to Monster's World, currents that lead to the Dark Dimension, and currents that take you nowhere. This Void is also the place evil Shadow Magicians imprison their victims, while simultaneously subjecting them to their worst fears. There is a hidden Graveyard here where monsters "destroyed" in a Battle wait until they are either special summoned, removed from play, or the battle ends, after which they go either back to the Overworld or head over to Monsters' World. There is a Reaper of the Cards that lives here, although he is known to also spend time in a linen closet in the girls' dorm.

The second area is the Dark Dimension. It's a dark, constantly lightning-torn wasteland. This is the area where monsters that are removed from play go. It's also the homeground of the D.D Organization. This area is somewhat secluded, and so far from TIGS that the mental connection between Familiar and Summoner is reduced to feelings. Monsters sent here can't return to TIGS or Monsters' World without help. It can be a somewhat frightening place, and it gives many a Summoner grief trying to find their Familiars, especially the lower level Summoners, since they don't know any spell or trap that can break into Dark Dimension. Usually a teacher or someone very familiar with the currents of the Void is needed to help bring a lost Familiar home.

The third area is Monsters' World. It is perhaps even larger than Dark Dimension, however it appears smaller from all the stuff that's in it. Monsters' World looks very much like Earth. Every field known to duelist can be found here, and built on these fields are civilizations of Duel Monsters. Some areas are ruled by the Monarchs. Some are the villages of such groups as the Gustas, the Lightsworn, and every spellcaster related to the Dark Magicians and the Pitch Black Order. This is also the area where Amir's Magique Boutique, a very well-stocked magic items store, is located.

Items:

The Book: This is a conveniently-shaped pocket dimension where every spell and trap you've collected is stored. Comes with an index page so you know what you acquired and how many copies of it you have. There is a pocket that holds your selected battle spells and traps.

Spell Pages, Magic Items: These are the equivalent to Spell Cards. Before you can use a spell, you have to have found its corresponding page. They can be found just about anywhere. They are given out in class, be bought in the Magique Boutique, found lying around in some parts of the Shadow Realm (Dark Dimension, Graveyard and Monsters' World), or earned as rewards. You can also look them up in any of the TIGS libraries, but those books are only available at night, and you have to ask the Librarian to either teach it to you or make a copy for you. Librarians may not do this if they think you can't handle it, so a level 1-4 student can't go into the University library and get a spell from their collection.

Magic Items includes the Equip-class spells and Potions, which are encountered as solid items. They will be listed in your Book when you acquire one, however, when you try to Cast it, you must also state a user- yourself or your Familiar, and the item will drop into the user's hands. Summoners can also use Magic Items as they are involved in active battle as well as being casters. Outside battle, Spells need about 2-6 posts to recharge. 2 if it's a small, single target effect, up to 6 if it's a very wide range and destructive effect.

Trap Kits, Trap items: Traps turn into Kits and items in TIGS. Some Kits are given out in class, some are given as rewards or prizes, and some can only be found in Monsters' World. Once assembled, Kits are stored in the Book and can be used repeatedly. Outside battle, Kits need 3-6 of your own posts for recharge after use, depending on area of effect and effect strength. Trap Hole needs three posts, Bottomless Trap Hole needs about five. The Trap Hole Kit is frequently used as a pranking item. Trap items are things such as Metalmorph, which behaves like an Equip, or Metal Reflect Slime, which is like a monster but doesn't really think for itself. The property has spells to contain the damage area of a trap kit so it doesn't flatten the entire school.

Spells and Traps will be encountered on a rarity and destructiveness level. The Spells and Traps that are linked to a certain group can only be found in the location of that group's base. For example, any Lightsworn spells/traps can only be found in the Realm of Light. Almost all Dark Magician-and-related-specific spells/traps can be found in only Endiymion's Citadel. Spells and Traps on the destruction level of Dark Hole are very rare, ensuring that most people can't have more than one copy. Of course some cards are just rare on their own, but usually rare cards are fairly powerful.

Familiars

Guide to power levels and how it affects the summoner:

Level 1-4 Star: Fairly easy to maintain, there is minimal strain. Not enough of an effect to make a difference. At most, you tend to space out a bit more than you used to.

Level 5-6: A little strain. You may notice your stamina has decreased, a little bit. You might not be able to run as far as you used to, and you seem to be tiring faster, as though you haven't been keeping fit for a few months.

Level 7-8: Some strain. There's no question, your stamina has definitely gone down. Maybe you can only sprint for about 3/4 the distance you used to be able to go. You're also eating more, and every couple of months you will have to be content with letting them exist just as ghosts or have them stay in Monster's World while you recuperate.

Level 9-12: This level of monster would KILL a new student. The strain is immense, there is no way to keep this monster in the physical for more than a few days at a time, and the recharge period is two days for every day that they are materialized. This level of monster is rarely found, and those who have this level usually have had at least one Familiar before or possess uncommonly high amounts of their own innate Shadow Magic. Teachers MAY have this level (but it's easier to have a lower-level monster) and students must be at least in their fifth year in 12-Levels before they can even TRY. PM me for permission if you want a familiar of this power level.

Familiars and summoners share a mental link. They can use a sort of telepathy to speak to each other over long distances and across most dimensions, as part of the contract. Those that stay in the physical plane for long periods of time begin to have "living" tendencies again, specifically, they can get hungry, they will need bathrooms, and they can get sick. Getting sick with natural/non-virus card illnesses won't affect their stats in battle but they will be slower and just like any other sick person, feel bad. You might want to go see the school nurse for this. They won't die if they don't eat, but they're going to be somewhat miserable about that. Some monsters can also grow up. Red Eyes Black Chick, for example, will turn into a Red Eyes Black Dragon after a while, supposing you have gained enough magic power to support that. The more humanlike Familiars can choose to dress as humans, however, in a battle the will resume their pictured form.

Oh, and sometimes when you stop by Amir's Boutique, he might ask you to do a favour, if he needs it. There's no way to predict this, but whatever he asks you to do, he'll pay you. This sometimes takes you to places that are normally hard to access in the Monsters' World.

Battle System:

Oh no! You made somebody really mad at you, and now they want to fight! Well, here's how it works.

Once a Duel is declared, the school will mark off your battle ground so it's impossible for anyone not involved to walk in. Day Class students will suddenly feel like they should take another path, and Night Class students will be prevented from entering even though they can still watch. Teachers and hall monitors, however, can break up the fight, and either combatant can make a run for it, if they REALLY don't want to fight. Possible Duel types are 1 on 1, battle royal, where it's every pair for themselves when there's more than two pairs fighting, tag battles, that is 2 on 2, or team battles, where its any number on any number. Teams with fewer pairs facing off teams with more pairs will get a life point compensation.

For Summoners

Life Points: This is how many hits you can take, Summoner. Here's the breakdown:

Class Level 1-4: 4000LP. You're just starting out, you haven't built up that much power yet.

Class Level 5-9: 8000LP. You're not a newbie, but you can't really call yourself a veteran yet.

Class Level 10-12: 12000LP. You're experienced by now, so you have more power.

Casting Points: This is your Class Level x 10. It determines how many times you can cast during a battle, and also serves as the ignition cost for the effects of some spells, traps and Familiars' effects. You get 10 more every time you go up a class. You will regenerate 1 casting power every two turn sequences.

Available 'attacks': Spells and Traps are like attacks for summoner. You can only carry a certain number of spells and traps, but as long as you have casting power, you can recast them. Class Level 1 can only have six spells and traps combined. Every time you gain one Class Level you get two more open slots. You can't use everything, so choose carefully. Put the spells and traps you want to use into the Pocket in the front of your book. You can take these out and change them at any time OUTSIDE of battle. In order to cast or trigger, declare the name of the spell or trap. In order to set, state that you are setting something. Cast power will decrease when it is triggered. You MUST set a trap for one turn before triggering.

Of course, if you run out of casting power, you can try to slug your opponents for 100 damage.

Familiars:

Familiars have HP. The HP is the defense points of the monster + 100xstar level. When a Familiar loses all their HP, they will be sent to the Void Graveyard.

Attack: Vs. another Familiar, Familiar's attack is their atk +50xtraining level. If the Familiar can land a hit, this number is subtracted from the opposing Familiar's HP. If they hit the summoner, it's LP minus the listed atk. Dodging is possible, but you can't avoid everything. Familiars with more training will hit less-trained ones more easily. Higher star familiars have a bit of an advantage over lower-star familiars.

Training Levels: Naturally, one would gain experience from living in the world. These Training Levels add 50x level to your Familiar's attack when fighting another Familiar. The amount of experience needed to "level up" is the number of stars x 10 + experience already gained. So a level 1 Celtic guardian needs 40 exp to level up, and a level 3 of the same needs 120+40 to level up to 4.

Experience: This can be gained from doing Jobs for Amir, from being in battles, and from class. The amount varies on the Jobs Board, but class generally gives about 5 exp, sometimes 10 if it's during an exam, and 5x star level of of a defeated opponent. 2 exp is gained even if there's a loss, since "you learn from your mistakes".

Defending: This tactic will focus only on dodging or blocking hits. A Defending Familiar can't launch any attacks, but they can attempt to reduce damage by blocking with their weapon. For Familiars who have more defense than their opponent's attack, a successful block reduces all damage to Familiar. For those with weaker defense than the opponent's attack, damage can be reduced by the amount of defense the defender has- if the block is successful. If Familiar is unguarded and struck, they will take the full attack of their opponent to their HP.

The Turn Sequence

1. "Standby"- the only purpose of this is to set traps or spells.

2- "Battle" - Familiars brawl. Summoners cast spells, trigger spells or traps or try to slug each other. This phase ends when either Familiar takes three definite hits.

3- "End"- end your turn.

Character specifics:

For Thieves: In order to Steal a monster, first you have to learn the Unique Name of your target. Do this by hearing other monsters talk, or by somehow tricking summoners to reveal the Unique Name they gave their monster. Without this name, the Stealing cannot be performed. Stealing, while most would say it's morally wrong, does get results fast. You don't have to wait until you're supposedly 'ready', and hey, the Summoner can always summon a new one, right? Also, the monster stolen has already gained EXP, and sometimes, if you're nice to them, they'll even prefer you to their original summoner, in which case, they're staying with you. One note: Teachers are almost impossible to successfully Steal from, since their magic is strong and so are their bonds with their Familiars. It is impossible for students, and difficult at best for teacher-thieves.

For summoners: You've heard stories of Thieves in the school history. One such event was instigated by a single Thief who managed to steal nearly half the school's Familiar population. The school had descended to a state of war as the summoners scrambled to reclaim their lost Familiars or summoned new ones to fight the Thief. The mass chaos ended up awakening a powerful monster that, in its rage, demolished half the school and caused tens of thousands of dollars in repair costs, and the lives of several. Do your best to keep your Familiar's Unique Name to yourself.

New students start with 0 Counters. If your character has been at the school for a while, their amount is 100x number of years they've attended. Counters are a unit of currency that is used in the Magique Boutique.

You may have as many students as you like, but if you want teachers (that is, teachers, counsellors, office staff, magic-capable janitors) then I limit it to two. Teachers are around level 10-12- and should be able to acquire and use most of the more powerful spells/traps.

Characters Involved:

Teacher

Username: Sachi

Name: Ms. Lianne Fong

Age: 28

Appearance: Lianne Fong is a 28-year old Chinese woman standing around 5ft 5in. She has dark brown eyes and long black hair which she usually wears in a flipped-up ponytail held up by a large burgundy hair clip. She wears rectangular black half-framed glasses. She appears to have a healthy weight and body size. At work she is usually seen wearing a navy blue suit and trousers, with a white, grey-striped blouse underneath. She also wears a black closed-toe one and a half inch heeled pair of shoes. Normally she has a preoccupied expression as she works out various plans and associated paperwork. She has a simple silver charm bracelet.

Personality: She's borderline workaholic. She is persistent and dedicated to her job, but she doesn't seem to know when to stop working. She's generally very understanding, and tries her best to make TIGS the best place possible, but she has a tendency to try to do too much and consequently burns out frequently. The strange thing is that she is somewhat impatient and doesn't like to wait, so she tries to do everything herself. Most of the time she can be seen running from one place to another, from meeting to meeting, or just complaining about finances. She takes discipline very seriously, but does her best to be fair. She's very meticulous with her work.

History: She is the grand-daughter of the previous Principal, the one who founded the school, and the one who currently has to bear the burden of maintaining the school's Shadow Magic Interface which supports the Familiars and all magic used. Because her family has been running the Institute for a while, she has been exposed to high enough levels of magic to be able to take care of the Institute's needs. She is the eldest of three children, and gained her sense of responsibility from looking after her younger siblings. She met her Familiar in her early teens, on one of her grandfather's trips to Monsters' World. They've been close friends ever since.

Familiar

Username: Sachi

Card Name: Goyo Guardian

Unique Name: Daiki

Link to card info: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Goyo_Guardian

Unique markings: His right hand has an ink smudge on the pinky side, and also wears a dog-tag pendant, he apparently finds these fashionable.

Personality: He is patient. He has to be, dealing with Lianne, since she is such a workaholic and forgets to take care of herself. He has to be firm, too, to make her stop working and take a break. Oftentimes he acts like a goof, to drag her out of her office, just for a walk or something to relax her. He acts irresponsibly, but sometimes in the dead of the night when Lianne has fallen asleep, he will move her to her bed and take over work for her.

History: He met Lianne when she came down with her grandfather to the Monsters' World. Her granddad had business to do, so he ended up keeping her company, and forged a bond that would later reappear when it was time for her first Summon.

Other: He likes eating different kinds of tofu.

Summoned/Stolen: Summoned.

Monster

Username: Sachi

Card Name: Dark Magician (Tablet blue art)

Other Name(s): Amir

Link to card info: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Dark_Magician

Personality: He's a colorful character. He's flamboyant, high energy, generally amiable to everyone, and occasionally gives out freebies. He can come of as being a bit outlandish or "weird" though. He doesn't mind answering questions, and is very proud of his store. As such, he can't stand thieves or shoplifters.

Special Jobs: Owner of the Magique Boutique, a large store in Monsters' World that stocks many magical items, trap kits and spells. Of course, the rarer and more powerful the wanted item, the more expensive it is. Sometimes he'll go and ask students to help him with delivering things, which he'll pay for either with Counters or with an item of equal value. You can also ask him for help with stolen Familiars- he can't get them back but he CAN help you find the Thief.

Other: There is a gate in the "mall" that is well advertised to the Night Class (since they are the only ones who can see and use the gate), that will take one directly to the Boutique.

Username: Sachi

Name: Stella Maki

Age: 17

Appearance: Stella Maki has mixed Japanese/American heritage and shows it. Her features appear Japanese, however her skin tone is lighter than most Japanese would be and a tinge more "golden" than Americans. Her eyes are blue, and her hair is grey/blonde instead of black. She likes to wear her hair loose, since it has big waves. When playing sports she ties it back. She's about 5ft 3in, and her usual outfit is a tank top, denim jacket, and flared-bottom jeans, with white sneakers and ankle socks. She wears a watch on her left wrist, and a black toonie-sized circular pendant with the Black Magic Ritual magic circle emblazoned in gold leaf.

Grade/Year: Grade 11

Personality: She is borderline overconfident, but it's not as bad as it used to be. She still has a habit of blurting out whatever's on her mind. She often bickers with her Familiar, but generally she's amiable, although somewhat impatient, impulsive and slightly boisterous. She's a spirited girl who gives her 100% in anything she does. She's also good at hiding her true feelings and lying, so there's dispute over if she's actually confident or whether that's just a front. Strangely, while normally she gets angry at people who insult her, she seems to be able to tolerate her Familiar's constant jabs.

Type Affinity: Light/Spellcasters

History: She is the daughter of Maki Kuuya and Jeanne Harris, who also attended Tenebrus back in the day of the first disaster. She is close to her aunt Sayomi, who was fairly strong with Shadow Magic and would often move back and forth between dimensions to do work on both sides. She often tagged along during those excursions, usually remaining in the company of the large community of Dark Magicians and Pitch Black Order. During one stay in her 16th year, she had managed to enrage the monarch of the Ice Kingdom. A friend of Sayomi's, a Magician of Black Chaos, went in place of Stella for the disciplinary, however, almost lost his life. Stella went after him, and in the end they both managed to narrowly survive with full pardon of the Ice Kingdom since the entire thing was a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, first impressions are very difficult to modify, and since that encounter, Stella has developed a powerful fear of the ocean, Levia-Dragon Daedalus and all Ice Kingdom-related monsters.

Card Name: Magician of Black Chaos

Unique Name: Isamu

Link to card info: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Magician_of_Black_Chaos

Unique markings: Right arm has one extra belt, has a small scar near the hairline from the Levia-dragon attack.

Personality: He's caustic, sarcastic and his way of testing new people is to see how they react to his intimidation. Is painfully blunt, and usually doesn't hesitate to let Stella know how dumb he thinks she is at times. He, however, does show a gentle side...rarely, and is the only one who can coax Stella out of her panic attacks. But generally, he ignores people, if they catch his notice, good or bad, he might insult them, if he feels they are worthy, he talks...normally...to them. They are close.

Training Level: 3

Years with summoner(or thief): 5

History: When Stella first visited the Domain of Beasts, he was the one that ended up being her guardian. He had to get her out of trouble many times, once nearly getting killed when Stella angered the Ice Monarch. She was able to recover him but in the end he had to save her again since she couldn't fight off the Levia Dragon. Since then, he has had to deal with her panic attacks at prolonged exposure to ocean or ice. Not an easy thing to do when she is so good at hiding her real reactions and has a proud streak almost as big as his.

Other: Don't touch the hat. You have been warned.

Grade/Year: 11th

Personality: Calm, content with simple things, and she has faith in her cards. She can be quiet tempermental though, and will never turn down a duel challenge, even if the person is of much greater skill than her. Refusal is not in her nature when it comes to cards.

Attribute Affinity: Neo-Spacian

History: Chansi doesn't come from a wealthy family, more a lower middle class. She had cloths and a roof over her head, plenty to eat, but presents were usually only one or two on Easter and Christmas and her allowance was very low. Her mother worked and could send her to school, but she never knew her father. She has loved Neo-Spacians ever since her mother gave her a Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin card, and it is the only one she has and wants. When she had enough money to spare, she bought Elemental Hero and Neo Spacian card packs, trading those she didn't want, rare or not, to get other Neo Spacians or a spell or trap that would help her deck. Her deck are the only cards she has, and all she needs. She knows everyone one of their abilities and so many different combos to win that it's almost uncanny. But, she believes in the cards and became the best duelist in her school. the only reason she was able to go to the Tenebrus Institute for Gifted Students was because she was invited. Her first year she showed just how well she skills were, and at the end of it was invited to become a Night Class student. When told to select a card to attempt summoning, only one would have ever been her choice, Neo-Spacian Marine Dolphin. It was the first card she had and her favorite, and when he became alive, a breathing creature, she was so amazed and startled that she nearly fainted. Their story afterward is in his history.

Unique markings: The gems on his chest are sapphires instead of rubies.

Personality: He usually doesn't speak unless Chansi asks him his opinion or a question, but normally he just listens to her as she speaks. He is a little larger than any human, with very few exceptions and he will sometimes carry her with ease on his back or in his arms to a place where they can talk privately since she sometimes has worries and he can comfort her and help her solve them like a father she never had. He is very wise and also intelligent, much like a veteran of war. But he is very protective of her and can lose his temper rather quickly. He loves swimming and water, much like a dolphin.

Training Level: 7

Years with summoner: Almost 3

History: When he was first summoned, it was almost a year before he ever said anything and Chansi was beginning to think he couldn't talk. But he never has really fought with her, though they have had disagreements, only listens and now offers his opinion only when asked or asked a question. He rescued her once when a Harpy Lady carried her off because she wanted her as a present for her brother(Harpy's Brother), but didn't make it three miles before he caught up with her and packed quiet a punch. Chansi fell, but he caught her and the Harpy lost a good many feathers in the process, but gave up after realizing the Neo Spacian's power. They have been the best of friends ever since.

Other: When he gets angry, and I mean really POed, the sapphires on his chest glow like a fire is inside them. The only time he gets this mad is when someone tries to hurt Chansi or harms her.

His skin is a little lighter than fair and he normally wears some form of black/navy/maroon jacket even in hot weather and long jeans. His shoes range from plan to leather black ones.

Grade/Year: 12th

Teacher

Username: Rakashua

Name: Jinjekkai Kaname (Call me Jin if you know my character well, if you’re a student though I expect to be called Jinjekkai Senpai)

Age: 27

Appearance: Jin has medium length white hair that he keeps in a single, Japanese Ponytail. He has blue eyes and a fair complexion. Weight is 178lbs, Height is 6’1” He is medium well built and typically wears traditional Japanese loose robes that are plain white or white and navy blue.

Personality: Jinjekkai is strict with his students in class, but only because he cares that they succeed, out of class he is happy to help, often cheerful, and very hip (interested in childish/teenaged activities such as video games, movies, taking risks, and generally having fun). He loves logical debates and strategy and is the Faculty Advisor to the Chess Club (which is open to Both day and night students however it only meets during Day student hours for obvious reasons). He is a sort of wacky individual whose mood can shift faster than the wind and for little or no reason. He thinks faster than he can speak and thus accidentally skips parts of sentences or conversations without realizing he’s left the real world behind.

History: Jinjekkai has enjoyed dueling since he was a child and never lost his fascination with the card game even as he grew older. He was enrolled in this very school and graduated only five years ago at the young age of 22. He enjoyed it so much he decided to stay as a teacher assistant in order to instruct the next generation and have some fun himself. Eventually he was hired full time as a teacher and has now been teaching for three months (this is his first year as a full time teacher) He has no family to speak of, an orphan all his life, neither does he know his biological mother or from whom he is descended. His best friends are his card deck, his familiar, and his students. He’s never had a girlfriend, though he’s often dreamed of having one his odd personality tends to keep him single, but happy.

Class(Day/Night/Both): Both Classes

Subject(s)/Position(s): Position: Instructor (Sensei), and Advisor (for certain Night class students). Subjects: He teaches Logic and Philosophy by day as well as mentoring the Chess club. He teaches Complementary Strategy at night with a focus on spells and traps.

Year(s)/Grade(s)/Level(s) taught: He is an Instructor member of Faculty and teaches the lvl 10-12 students at night. During the day he teaches at the University to the third and fourth year students.

Decks (Optional): His favorite deck is a custom Gladiator Beast deck that (This User) uses in real life and a strategy that focuses on what he teaches, spell and trap compliments. But his playing style, like his mood, changes very quickly and he is not above breaking out his Darkness Dragons deck if the duel isn’t very serious. On top of that he’s built a dozen training decks that he often uses against his students in order to teach them lessons and strategy. Mostly how to build a deck and side deck that allow you to counter multiple strategies and how to win when your enemy is using your deck’s weakness.

Spells/Traps for battle (change as needed, not set in stone): Well this would be a VERY long list… but I’ll mention the main ones:

Unique markings: As she appears in the card except her armor is pitch black with white trim and her shield is white. She has a scar running from right to left over her right eye (but the eye is intact).

Personality: Kainama is an adult who has fought in many battles and seen many things. She is wise and calm, which contrasts a lot with Jinjekkai’s personality. She has gone though many things in her life and it has made her hesitant to use her great power to fight or kill, though she will summon her armor, axe, and shield if called to battle. But she would rather teach wisdom or debate philosophy with Jin or the other students. She is very protective of Jin though, almost in a motherly manner (see history), and is fiercely loyal to him. She does have a fun loving side but it rarely surfaces, and she is most always cross with Jin because of his often reckless behavior and enjoyment of thrills.

Training Level: 24 (not sure what is considered high… so if this is way too high, 12, or 16, or if it’s low for an experienced

monster then lvl 36-48)

Years with summoner: 8 (see history)

History: nine years ago a disgruntled and slightly terrified student found himself the loser of a particularly dangerous duel that he had no right entering, the cost was imprisonment in the Dark Dimension. The student, only mostly scared but still overly self confident, sought to find a quick way out, only to discover that he was indeed trapped and completely over his head. It was during this time when Kainama met this student, she had been in the Dark Dimension for a very long time (she never actually told me how long) and had resigned herself to spending the rest of her days there, thinking, sleeping, and waiting for whatever end was to come. She found herself bored during this time and followed the student around without his knowing, curious as to how this foolish boy intended to escape this realm.

Other: Jinjekkai was that student and to make a very long few weeks of missing school and no one knowing where he was… short… suffice to say that he first attempted to trick the DD organization into sending him back after stealing one of their spells, the D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation spell. He was caught with it though and attacked by a Red-Eyes B. Dragon that the DD organization sent after him. Not knowing exactly why, Kainama stepped in and helped out the young fool by defeating Red-Eyes in a single surprise attack. The DD organization agents witnessed the battle reported to headquarters and a duelist was sent. Impressed that Kainama has helped the boy, the DD organization offered him a duel; he faced off against one of their duelists in order to win his freedom and the spell he had stolen. To make a long duel short, he won. Kainama watched the strange boy leave as he promised to break her out of the Dark Dimension one day.

Fortunately time passes much more quickly in our realm than in the Dark Dimension and Jin had only missed a day of class in the week he spent there. He never told anyone the real reason he was absent and claimed sickness. A year later, having earned a summoning contract, he stunned his professors by using the D.D.R. - Different Dimension Reincarnation spell to summon Kainama, though he did not address her by her unique name. She agreed to be his unique monster, and more importantly his mentor and to keep him out of trouble when she could. After getting over their shock and deciding whether or not to punish Jin very severely, the school board decided that this was acceptable, though Jinjekkai still managed to hide where it was that he got Kainama in the first place, and how she had previously known him.

Username:Darkshadow

Name: Ryza Drake

Age: 13

Appearance (pictures are OK): user posted image

Grade/Year: 6th grade

Personality: He's really, really shy, and not one to pick a fight. When challenged, he usually turns the person down because he does not enjoy dueling others. However he puts all of his will into dueling if he feels there is a serious need to defeat his enemy. Ryza is worried about his brother Nathaniel, and that Lomore will get taken from him by a thief, since as a sixth grader, he looks like easy pickings. He doesn't want to lose Lomore, since Lomore is his partner after all.

Attribute Affinity: Dark/ Spellcasters

History: Ryza discovered this school because of his brother, Nathaniel, who attended the Night class. Apparently, the ability to summon monsters had been a long-standing blood trait of everyone in the family, and when Ryza summoned Lomore, the Dark Paladin, his parents were so proud of him. Even more proud than his brother, who had only managed to summon a level six monster. Nathaniel, jealous, disappeared into the monster's world, and though his parents searched for him, Ryza's older brother had disappeared. At the same time, Ryza was suffering from the effects of his summoned monster. Since Lomore was a level 8 monster, Ryza's stamina and strength, as well as his health, were sapped at great levels. This caused him to be permanently crippled, and he has to use crutches to be able to go about every day life, even when Lomore is in the monster world. Ryza attends the school in hopes of finding some clue as to where his brother has disappeared to.

Name: Lark Wrens

Age: Appearance (pictures are OK): https://i.imgur.com/Ug7He.jpg

Grade/Year: Sophomore

Personality: Lark has a Sadist Personality Disorder, which means that he is amused at the physical or mental pain of others or himself. Lark has this in sorts of 'fits', where he will either try and cause physical pain to anyone near, or to himself, which only his brother, Trevor, can help restrain. After these 'fits', Lark regains his normal state of mind, but usually doesn't feel truly sorry for the person he inflicted pain upon, unless it was his brother, Maria, or his brother's familiar. Normally, Lark is mistrustful of all people, and only confides in his brother, since he believes that no one else can be trusted.

Type Affinity: Water/Dark, Spellcasters

History: Lark was born into a very wealthy family as the younger brother of twins. His twin brother is Trevor. Their family had gotten very wealthy years before he had been born, and so the boys grew up in a luxerious life. However, Lark had been born with the Sadist Personality Disorder, which didn't show until in his first stages of teenage years. His father was a heavy drinker, often giving himself to fits of rage, in which he beat Lark throughly, bringing out the child's mental disorder. Some close friends of the family tried to help the boys get help for their father's problems, but as Trevor's cleptomaniac disorder and his sadist 'fits' kept occuring, the friends thought kids were too messed up to bother trying to really help them and just abandoned them, fueling the twin's belief that they can trust no one that isn't each other because people just use you and throw you away when they're done, and even if they do care at the beginning, if you surpass a limit they'll just get away and forget you ever existed. Around this time Lark and Trevor summoned their familiars, and developed close bonds with them. Their father, not wanting to fight the child-care laws, sent him and Trevor to T.I.G.S., paying for the tuition and sending large amounts of cash every month for 'supplies'.

Appearance: Meera. She always wear a golden necklace and a bracelet.

Grade/Year: Grade 11

Personality: Being a laid back and carefree woman, Meera isn't one to take small things seriously unless it's life or death. She's the kind of person that doesn't need to work hard to get things right, and thus doesn't work very hard, but no matter how she acts in class she still pays attention to it. Anything that sounds like an adventure or just fun is something she'd most likely show up on, but do remember that her tastes of fun might change with her mood. She prefers to be called Mir, and she doesn't smoke.

Attribute Affinity: Dark

History: Meera grew up in a rich family, together with her mother and little brother. Her father died in an accident on the racing track when she was 5 and her brother 1, so neither of them remember him clearly. Her mother was the CEO of a big company and a workaholic, so she was rarely home. However, her mother loved both of them, and every Christmas and birthday they would receive big and expensive presents. On one of her little brother's birthdays he received a pack of duel cards(along with other things), and gave her a few he didn't want. One of them was Gorz, the Emissary of Darkness. Student

Username: Saikachan

Name: Cathleen Hayashi

Age: 15

Appearance: Cathleen. She always wears her bracelet. Oh, and her hair isn't blue, it's blond.

Grade/Year: Grade 9

Personality: Cathleen is pretty shy, but she loves meeting new people. If you ask her to duel, she'll probably decline, as she isn't very confident in her own abilities. She loves the cute duel monsters, the ones who look like they'd make good teddy-bears, and if you have one as your partner, she'll probably want it. She's rather selfish, but in an ignorant way; it's like she doesn't realize she's being selfish. She doesn't steal familiars because she want to show her dominance, or because she want to get out of Starters; she don't care about that. She steals because she likes the familiar. Apart from stealing the familiars of others, she's the perfect student.

Attribute Affinity: Earth

History: Ever since she was little Cathleen has loved cute and sweet things. Teddy-bears, pillows, small, cuddly animals; she loved them all. And she got them as well, as her father spoiled her like no other. Her mother died when she was little, and her father made it up to her by giving her things. When she saw a Quillbolt Hedgehog for the first time, she wanted it. Her father had to buy several packets of duel cards before she got it, and she figured out that the Quillbolt Hedgehog wasn't the only cute monster in the game. When she was invited to the institute, she eagerly went, hoping to see some more monsters. Once there, she saw a person with a familiar she knew; the Quillbolt Hedgehog. Wanting it, she read about how to get it, and in the end she managed to steal it.

Decks: Nope, but she has a few cards she likes.

Unique markings: She has black stripes in her fur.

Personality: Yue is rather strict, and she has a strong sense of right and wrong. She's resigned to the fact that Cathleen will continue to steal other peoples familiars if she likes them, but she will always try to convince her that it's wrong. Even if she was originally stolen, she has come to like Cathleen, and feels that Cathleen needs her, as she's her 'voice of reason'.

Username: Armityle

Name: Raymond Lau

Age: 27

Appearance: Chinese male, 6’2, has Emo-ish hair. Always wears a pair of blue shades with black frames, a white trench coat, and Black pants, and black and white shoes. Average size, usually looks like a chilled out person. Usually wears a black and blue duel disk

Personality: A real Chilled out guy. A good friend with Lianne Fong and acts like her counterpart, and usually causes her to go NUTS. He doesn’t do a lot, more like sits around. Fong gets mad at him A LOT, but they’ve been friends for a while, so she lets it slide. The one thing he IS good at is English, which he usually teaches. He’s been with Fong and Damian since grade 1, and as such he developed a major bond with the two. He’s usually found in the staff room, munching on some sort of snack. He rubs off as lazy, and doesn’t like work. He marks easy, so he doesn’t mind giving away marks. Most people think he’s lazy and somewhat of a slacker, but deep down, he takes everything he does seriously, and is more than willing to do anything to help his friends.

He has a very strong hate towards Lianne.

Student

Username: PureDark006

Name: Trevor Wrens

Age: 16

Appearance (pictures are OK): He looks like this. Messy, spiked hair under the hat.

Grade/Year: 10

Personality: Trevor tends to be rather reserved at first when meeting new people, and almost never does the first step. However, once you know him better, you think he's friendly, talkative and more intelligent than he normally lets out. Note the 'think'; Trevor is a very good actor and knows how to make people feel comfortable around him, even when on the inside he disdains everyone else besides Lark and their familiars, Wolusiter and Maria.

However, the main trait of his personality is that he's always had a kleptomaniac problem. It started with small things; pencils, some change, maybe a small toy. However, as time passed, it got stronger, escalating to things like cellphones and even rare cards. It's neither premeditated nor done in an impulse, and he can't control it. When the urge starts, it can rarely be stopped without the soothing feeling of having in his hands something precious forcefully separated from its original owner. It doesn't matter how much the object costs, more like the feelings the owner had towards it.

Type Affinity: Dragon, tends to favor those with Dark attribute

History: Trevor's parents were the owners of a big, successful company, so money was never a problem for them, even when Trevor and his twin brother Lark were born. However, serious problems started arising when their father's alcoholism started getting out of control. Some close friends of the family stepped in to help the kids, but by then it was too late for the twins to walk away unscratched. Trevor's kleptomania had increased in intensity and Lark's sadistic side didn't stop, so the friends thought the twins were a lost cause and abandoned them. That was a hard hit for Trevor, and so he came to the conclusion that the only one he could ever trust was Lark. Up until now, no one has been able to prove that belief wrong.

It was shortly after than the twins managed to summon their familiars, and after the first year the four of them had grown close together. However, all that talk teachers were giving about stealing familiars mixed bad with Trevor's urges, and it wasn't long before he started researching the incantation. It took some time, since he couldn't let anyone find about it except Lark, but finally he found how the spell was performed. And when he stole the first familiar, a Yata-Garasu, the calming effect it had on him was enough to make him realize that wouldn't be his last time stealing a monster.

Decks: Hybrid between Disaster Dragon and something he likes to call Graveyard Dragon Beatdown.

Familiar's Name: Des Volstgalph, Wolusiter

Night Class Level (Starter-12): Level 8

Spells/Traps for battle: Mostly Equip and Quick-Play Spell cards and Counter Trap cards. Includes Swords of Revealing Light, Axe of Despair, Malevolent Nuzzler, Black Pendant, Rush Recklessly, Double Attack, Stop Defense, Shrink, Stamping Destruction, My Body as a Shield, Negate Attack, Mirror Force, Forced Back, Dark Bribe, Magic Jammer and Trap Jammer.

Thief: Y

Other: Besides Wolusiter, he has stolen a Venom Serpent and a Yata-Garasu

Familiar

Username: PureDark006

Card Name: Des Volstgalph

Unique Name: Wolusiter

Link to card info: Here it be

Unique markings: The eyes shine black instead of blue, and the horns are pure white instead of ivory-colored.

Personality: Blunt and sarcastic most of the time, Wolusiter is a difficult dragon to get along with. More like the only ones he gets along with are Maria and their two summoners. He also tends to exaggerate, although he knows how to be serious when something's wrong with Trevor or Lark.

Training Level: 7

Years with summoner(or thief): 5

History: At first, Wolusiter didn't like one bit being summoned. The real world was new for him, and he had problems adapting, which put him in a bad mood most of the time. However, as he started getting accustomed to being in another world and finding out about the twins' darker side, he couldn't help but get attached to the unstable human that summoned him. When Trevor started researching the incantation to steal another familiar, Wolusiter tried to stop him, even when he knew the human wouldn't replace him. But Trevor's symptoms grew too strong, and the dragon had to resign to the fact that he was doing it more as a need than a want.

Other: Nothing for now

Summoned/Stolen: Summoned

Familiar

Username: PureDark006

Card Name: Yata-Garasu

Unique Name: Merle

Link to card info: Here it be

Unique markings: The colors are inverted; her beak and legs are purple and her feathers are black.

Personality: Merle can switch between being calm and polite to a squawking inferno of feathers that's trying to rip your eyes off, although, to be fair to her, you need to royally piss her off to get such a result. She's easy to talk to, and prefers strategy over brute force, although she's not afraid to hit/peck/scratch you if you're disrespectful.

Training Level: 4

Years with summoner(or thief): 3

History: Merle only spent half a year with her original summoner before she was stolen. Although it was a brief time, they had connected almost immediately, so saying she was surprised when feeling the stealing incantation on her was an understanding. At first she wanted to go back, but as the month came and passed with her summoner still having no clue as to where she was or who had stolen her, she had to resign to the fact that she'd be stuck with Trevor for a long while. After all, no one had any reason to suspect the boy; he already had a familiar, didn't seem to even dislike her summoner and had no motives to steal a Yata-Garasu. It was later than she figured out the two brothers and decided to stick around. She isn't nearly as close to Trevor as Wolusiter, but at least the boy has the decency to treat her well, so she doesn't complain as long as she's out of Lark's reach when the younger twin's having one of his fits.

Other: Nothing for now

Summoned/Stolen: Stolen

Familiar

Username: PureDark006

Card Name: Venom Serpent

Unique Name: Cedric

Link to card info: Here it be

Unique markings: The upper scales are a shining emerald that reflects the light instead of a pale green, and the lower scales are cream instead of white.

Personality: If the weather's warm and nice, Cedric's two heads get along with each other and mostly everyone else that isn't stupid enough. If it's too hot, they prefer being left alone, with a warning of bite to anyone that disturbs them. If it's cold, they become grumpy, fighting between each other and threatening others. If it's too cold, they just go to sleep, and pity the one who awakes them.

Training Level: 2

Years with summoner(or thief): 1

History: Cedric's original summoner was a bit disappointed to have a Serpent instead of the Boa for a familiar, but even with their constant bickering they became quick friends and worked well together. However, after a year together the unthinkable happened, and Cedric felt his contract being forcefully dissolved and recreated. Like Merle, at first he was angry and hoped his summoner would recover him, but Trevor knew how to cover his tracks too well; the month passed without anyone suspecting anything. By then, Cedric had become friends with Merle, and like her, had decided it would be better to just move on.

Unique markings: It's left eye is purple.

Personality: Yami is actually quite kind but other than around Akira though she acts rude and stuck up. She only opens up to Akira. When Akira is pissed Yami gets pissed. She will gladly attack the person but only if Akira says to.

Training Level: (umm put what sounds best cause this part confuses me blink.gif )

Years with summoner(or thief): A long time. Yami would even appear to Akira before she was sent to school but for only a minute or two at a time. Yami was only a Chick then.

History: Yami started being with Akira as soon as Akira was about 2. She would first only appear for a second or two and Akira didn't even notice. She didn't actually get seen by Akira till she got her first deck and a Red-Eyes B. Chick was in it. Akira took to the card as her favorite and Yami would appear for a minute or two at a time every now and again. When Akira got to the School and she tried to summon her first time Yami appeared. Akira was so happy and started playing with Yami as well as training. Soon Yami grew to be a Red-Eyes B. Dragon then to a Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon.

Other:Yami loves to eat chocolate.. but then of coarse who doesn't like chocolate? She also doesn't like it when people comment on her purple eye.

Username: Team EG-X

Name: Jacob Riley

Age: 19

Appearance (pictures are OK): user posted image

Grade/Year: University/2

Personality: Jacob is a narcissist, and, being one, you could never tell him such and expect him to listen to you. He has a Messiah complex of sorts, believing that he is the ultimate being, capable of defeating anyone, though he hasn't figured out how to unlock his true potential. This motivates him to study more than most, though when frustrated, he is often lead to bouts of overconfidence and noncompliance with others. Despite his ego, he's quite the charismatic person, and he does exceptionally well grade-wise.

Type Affinity: Wind/Dragons

History: Jacob was born to an upper-middle class family, which would be his modest way of saying they were multi-millionaires. His parents, well, his father, owned an island off the coast of California and used it to make money by abusing the sale of legal substances. He had been a Neurosurgeon beforehand, however, and that's the only profession Jacob would eve speak of his father having.

Unique markings: Golden hammer and sickle marking on dragon's armor, blue gem core instead of green.

Personality: Sebatian is much more modest than his human partner, though he still can be arrogant at times. Speare, the dragon on whom Sebastian rides, is as narcissistic as Jacob, and if jacob is a god, the one true religion must be duotheistic.

Training Level: 5

Years with summoner(or thief): 6

History:Sebastian used to be without Speare when Jacob first Summoned him; he protected Jacob when the human's arrogance got the best of him and angered Simorgh, Bird of Divinity. He was able to quell the great being's anger and developed a bond with Jacob. In fact, Sebastian, Speare, and Jacob speak to Simorgh on a somewhat regular basis. After developing his abilities enough, he was able to Summon Speare as well, though he instantly Tuned with Sebastian.

Riiiiiight, I ran out of space in the post above. Anyways.

Characters cont'd

Student

Username:DiaGlace48

Name: Xerxes Glace Hydro (Never referred to by first name)

Age: 11

Appearance: Golden-brown hair. Sapphire blue eyes. Once vertical scar over each eye. Ice blue shirt and pants. Shirt has 'layers', or strips of silk overlaying one another slightly. She also has a diamond necklace, which people often try to steal.

Grade/Year: Grade 6

Personality: A nervous little girl who often fretts over whether she's doing something correctly or not. She can be very destructive when angered, considering she 'controls' two or more very strong Familiars. However, she isn't really seen using them. She can't summon a Familiar correctly, so they end up summoning themselves. Afterwards, she passes out for 1dayxhalf of original monster level in a row (e.g., Lv. 8=4 days, Lv. 7=4 days, Lv. 1=1 day), rather than taking on the expected effects.

Type Affinity: I'm not sure what you mean, but I'll try Aqua/Beast (Sometimes Dark/Beast.

History: She never really had a home or family, because she never really needed one. She was found by a messenger boy in which she was acquainted with. He gave her a letter saying she was invited to the school by the principal. The principal had high hopes for her and wished to teach her to control her Shadow Magic. Glace was also promised she wouldn't get into much trouble related to her rumored Familiars (Releasing them, in other words) until she could somewhat control her magic.

Decks: Her deck is very mixed. It was a rumor around her town that she had even the most legendary cards, and that her Shadow Magic was extremely powerful. However, she doesn't know how to use it, but she can still summon impossibly powerful Familiars, though afterwards she passes out, no matter how strong or weak the Familiar.

Class: Both

For Night Class:

Familiar: Y (2-3 currently. I won't summon them very often, unless the Familiars feel like their assistance is required.)

Familiar's Name: 1.) Blue Eyes White Dragon, Seto 2.) Red Eyes Black Dragon, Joey

Night Class Level: Level 1, but can still summon Red Eyes/Blue Eyes. But like I said, she passes out afteward.

Spells/Traps for battle: Not sure yet. I'll figure that out later on, hopefully soon.

Thief: N

Other: She has a reputation for summoning exclusive and powerful Familiars, but passes out afterwards. Known to be very dangerous, but she is still quite nice.

Familiar

Username: DiaGlace48

Card Name: Blue Eyes White Dragon

Unique Name: Seto (Kaiba)

Link to card info: Let's just say I always had trouble doing this part, but I think you already know.

Unique markings: Darker shade of blue for eyes. Black metal collar around his neck.

Personality: Same as Seto Kaiba, only he an Joey get along MUCH better (What can I say? It's hard to put Kaiba's personality into words).

Training Level: 1

Years with summoner: 3 years

History: (I kinda say this in the 'Other' section. Basically, what?)

Other: Was the famous Seto Kaiba, but was trapped into one of his own cards by a powerful thief. Was never obtained by said thief, but instead by Glace.

Summoned/Stolen: Quite a few times, though never by Glace's command.

Familiar

Username: DiaGlace48

Card Name: Red Eyes Black Dragon

Unique Name: Joey (Wheeler)

Link to card info: Same as last time.

Unique markings: Gold highlights in eyes.

Personality: Joey Wheeler's personality is hard to put into words, though he does get along suprisingly well with Kaiba

Training Level: 1

Years with summoner: 3 years

History: (Once again, I say this in the 'Other' section.)

Other: Was the snazzy-comeback, epically-awesome Joey Wheeler, but was sealed into his Red-Eyes B. Dragon card by the same thief that did this to Kaiba. As you can tell, the thief never got his hands on this Familiar, and was once again obtained by Glace.

Summoned/Stolen: Many a time, let's leave it at that.

FAQ

Questions:

Q: If my monster is a Red Eyes Black Chick, can I have it grow up to be a Red Eyes Black Dragon and then to a Red Eyes Darkness Dragon, or if I have a level monster, can it level up? (Thanks to Carlissa)

A: Yes, it can. In the case of monsters like Red Eyes Black Chick, Harpie Girl, Gagigio, or any monster with "level" in its name, they can grow up to their "next stage" providing you have enough magic to support them. I'll send you a PM with subject title "Level Up" if this happens to be the case with your monsters. You can also obtain items to further transform them, for example, using the Trap Item "Metalmorph" with Red Eyes Black Dragon will turn your Red Eyes into a Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon.

Q: Can we improvise Fusions? (Thanks again, Carlissa)

A: No for now. Reason being I don't want to have random uber monsters running around and killing everybody, since with improvised fusions, the improvised effects has a risk of being very overpowered.

Q: I can haz________? (two people so far)

A: Barring Egyptian Gods, Exodia, Five-Headed Dragon, Wicked Gods and Sacred Beasts, anybody can take any monster as their familiar, and there can be multiples of any, and I mean ANY monster since there exist multiple copies of the same card in real life, including fusions, effects, ritual and synchros (including "Signer" Dragons- anyone still playing the TCG can tell you there are TONS of those running around). So there is no need to reserve monsters. The condition on this is that if your char's familiar is powerful (as in upwards of 6 stars), the char has to have enough magic to support that monster, preferably explained in the character History section.

Oh yeah, and in regards to how "big" your familiar is- the ceilings are pretty high, and there's still the magic IN the school, so no matter how big your familiar's physical size is, it can still fit! Sometimes the walls will "ghost" (turn immaterial in the required area) if your familiar happens to be too big for the door.

Q: I have a question about the fighting system as well. Does the victor of a fight depend on the attack level of each monster? For example, if a Dark Magician goes up against a Blue Eyes White Dragon, will the Blue Eyes win every time because it has a higher attack or can the Dark Magician win despite being weaker? (Thanks, Carlissa).

A: Edited. The answer is in the post above this. I may decide to award atk or def bonuses as "training", however, at this point, I have yet to see how that works, since in the course of the year you will be learning to use many spells and traps, which alone could drastically the course of a battle.

Okay, about the 12 levels in the rules section, don't put it in between the rules as it makes the rules look messy, either above or below.

Another think, put the wiki link first line so it is easy to find.

(I've recently gotten back into the card game. (Mother forgot why she banned it from the house hold.) I'm currently watching 5ds and finished YGO the original... Thinking about gx... I'ma stop posting here so I won't be considered spamming. I'll stalk til approved or rp'able.)

The school building itself was built originally to have high ceilings, so it's fine. In the school's history, there was a student who was toting a Black Rose Dragon who has since graduated. Rumour has it that the school was once ravaged by a large beast and a large bird that still could easily fit into the hallways.

(Aki?(Akiza?) And just wondering, when I fininshed my form later do I PM or wait for the rp to be rp'able?)

(Nope, not Akiza. Because there are multiple real world copies of any given card, I apply twisted logic and argue that mulitples of any can exist here too. You can PM if you like, but I won't add til this thing gets approved.)

(Hello Sachi.

As far as I can tell, your spelling is impeccable...

As for grammar... I'm too lazy to check that out, good luck with the RP!)

Okay, thanks to Carlissa for spending time to help me! I think we're good to go now, so let those (constructive) comments rip!

I am so glade someone made a Yugioh Rp, I wanted to be in one do despartly. So, I am defaintly joining, but first I haz some questions.

One: Exactly how will dueling work? I mean, drawing random cards would be hard to make sure it happens, because some could 'randomly' draw a certain card that they happened to need and win the battle with. Also, how on earth would you keep up with your monsters and trap card without the other person knowing even though their character doesn't? Ect.

Two: Can my familar be this guy or this guy? I don't know why but I love both of them and would be perfectly happy with either. I know you listed the only ones you were allowing, but I just wanted to be sure ^^

1. Duelling is different- it's more like a brawl. If you want more info, PM me, since the explanation is sort of long. Basically it's that you and your Familiar are a team that can fight against other teams. And yes, slugging the other Summoner does deal Life Point damage.

2. I only listed the ones I banned- everything else is fair game. From ANY generation. So yes, either of those can be Familiars.

BAN LIST

Exodia

Egyptian gods

Wicked gods

Five-headed dragon

Sacred Beasts

Yupyup. Only reservation is that if you use something slightly more provocative (like one of the Harpie Lady original arts) stuff it into a spoiler.

May I offer some critic?

There is also a lesser-known Night Class that runs from 7 to 10. The Night Class are mysterious, and the subject of many campus rumours, for nobody knows what secrets they hide.

'Rumours' should be 'rumors'

1. Night Class: Stealing other people's Familiars is not allowed. Doing so will earn you suspension the first time and (in universe) expulsion from Night Class for repeat offenses. Faculty who engage in this behaviour will be fired immediately.

'Behaviour' should be 'behavior'

The more humanlike Familiars can choose to dress as humans, however, in a battle the will resume their pictured form.

'humanlike' should have a '-' between human and like so it is 'human-like'

Oh, and sometimes when you stop by Amir's Boutique, he might ask you to do a favour, if he needs it.

'favour' should be 'favor'

Possible Duel types are 1 on 1, battle royale, where it's every pair for themselves when there's more than two pairs fighting, tag battles, that is 2 on 2, or team battles, where its any number on any number.

'royale' should be 'royal'

Appearance (pictures are ok):

Captilize 'ok' to 'OK' or change it to 'okay'

That's all I found, perhaps that will help the busy approvers a little ^^

Um, not to argue...but I'm Canadian (that's how we canucks spell it up here). Oh, is that so with Battle Royal(e)? I read somewhere that that was the free-for-all battle, but if that's wrong, ok, I'll fix it.
