Posted July 24, 2022 Basically every similar game I've played allows for multiple creatures owned by the same OR different players to name their creatures the same thing. It does not make sense Dragon Cave does not allow that. The only reason I can think of is lineage, but both Flight Rising and Pokefarm Q allow same-named Pokemon/dragons and I've never seen an issue. Posted July 24, 2022 It's just how it's always been. You can go to a dragon directly by name by changing the link (e.g. https://dragcave.net/view/n/midas dorkface) and there are currently some player debates on whether the admin should change the naming system, but as is you just have to work around it. Posted July 24, 2022 I've had situations where it was handy to be able to link to one of my dragons by name instead of having to find/copy the code. Share this post Link to post
Posted July 25, 2022 (edited) I use that /n/ thing all the time. If you have well over 11k dragons, remembering a code instead would be a nightmare. The policy makes perfect sense. Changing it wouldn't, for me. @Dogmage999 you seem to be doing fine for good names anyway ! Edited July 25, 2022 by Fuzzbucket Share this post Link to post
Posted September 9, 2022 Currently, each dragon has an individual address based on their name in addition to their code (dragcave.net/view/n/dragonname), so each name must be unique. If you want name exclusivity to no longer be a thing, you can discuss it in this suggestions thread: Share this post Link to post
