ANSWERED:Why can't dragons share the same name?

Recommended Posts

Basically every similar game I've played allows for multiple creatures owned by the same OR different players to name their creatures the same thing.

It does not make sense Dragon Cave does not allow that. The only reason I can think of is lineage, but both Flight Rising and Pokefarm Q allow same-named Pokemon/dragons and I've never seen an issue.

I've had situations where it was handy to be able to link to one of my dragons by name instead of having to find/copy the code.

I use that /n/ thing all the time. If you have well over 11k dragons, remembering a code instead would be a nightmare. The policy makes perfect sense. Changing it wouldn't, for me. @Dogmage999 you seem to be doing fine for good names anyway !

Currently, each dragon has an individual address based on their name in addition to their code (dragcave.net/view/n/dragonname), so each name must be unique.

If you want name exclusivity to no longer be a thing, you can discuss it in this suggestions thread:
