There was time change in my region at the end of March and it moved time of lunar phase/day change from 1AM to 2AM for me. While I'm still awake around 1AM I rarely stay up to 2AM. Posted May 8, 2019 Late, but here! -- - Starting at 8:00 PM EDT/DC, Tuesday, May 07, 2019, today is Day 8 of the Cirion Lunar Cycle. The current Moon Phase is New Moon. - Also, today is Day 8 of the Aurax Lunar Cycle. The current Moon Phase is Waning Crescent. There is a very high probability of catching/breeding Dark Luminae today. -- On a different note, while making the new cycler, Pinkgothic has suggested that rather than each day having a stable ratio, the ratio of Lumina to Dark Lumina is changes over the course of the day. The ratio either increasing or decreasing throughout the Lunar day, as opposed to maintaining one stable ratio over a single day. Lemme use these charts to explain: - Chart 1: - Chart 2: So, the current theory is that ratio follow the bar graph (Chart 1), the drop rates for Lumina Family eggs either increase or decrease by 1/8 percent once a day depending on the egg. So, all day on a Full Cirion Moon, you will only ever get luminae (100% chance of Lumina and 0% chance of Dark Lumina all day.) However, on the next day, the first Waning Gibbous day, you have an increased chance of getting a Dark Luminae by 1/8 percent, with a corresponding decrease chance of getting Luminae (87.5% chance of getting a Lumina and 12.5% chance of getting a Dark Luminae all day). However, by Pinkgothic's theory, the ratio changes throughout the day, adjusting to what time during the Lunar day you've breed your egg (following the line graphs, Chart 2), so that by the end of the Lunar Day, the chances to get either of the Luminae Family egg has changed by 1/8 percent. So, at 8:00 PM EDT/DC on a Full Cirion Moon Day, the chances of getting a Lumina are 100%, while the chances of getting a Dark Lumina is at 0%. However, by 8:00 AM EDT/DC of the same day, the chances of getting a Lumina has decreased to 93.75%, and the chance of a Dark Lumina has increased to 6.25% (1/16 percent change) By the next Lunar day, the first Waning Gibbous day, at 8:00 PM EDT/DC, the chances of getting a Lumina is now 87.5%, while the chance of Dark Lumina is now 12.5%. (1/8 percent change) (Note: On the Daily Dragon Fix website, the ratios don't match up as, Pinkgothic assumes there that the peak of any Lunar day is at 8:00 AM EDT/DC, 12 hours from the start of the Lunar day, as the phases don't change until 8:00 PM EDT/DC on any given Lunar day.) This would explain why it's so hard to get a ratio for a single day. You can't get one, because the ratios aren't stable from day to day. They functionally change all the time. How much the change, still ends up to be by 1/8 percent a day though. The problem is how to prove that. Pinkgothic has theorized a possible test plan, but we need people to breed simultaneously and then record their findings. It's true that a "gradual decrease every second would skew the ratios", but not by an appreciable amount. 12% for 24 hours would mean 0.5% percent drift every hour, less than 0.01% every minute. And even 10% is a lot, which is the difference you'd observe if people were off the mark by two hours for both points of time (~02:00 UTC versus ~22:00 UTC instead of ~00:00 UTC versus ~23:55 UTC). The event would have to be announced ahead of time, yeah. I'd offer to help, but I find luminae so unappealing that I have none on my scroll (well, except one, which I picked up for a breed request ). But again, I'm not asking, just trying to draft up how you might test it if you feel like you'd like to! ❤️ We could use old data, but do we have enough eggs bred with an hour on a single day to prove it?
