Posted September 14, 2016 Wait, what? It's taken them four years to deliver your bed Kestra? Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Haha no Fort! Lover and I kinda broke my bed the last time she came over, so I'm ordering a new bed. But because my current bed precisely fits the space in my flat including under-bed storage it's been a pain trying to find a replacement that will still give me the same storage. Then I remembered I ordered that bed online, so dug through my old e-mails, found the order from four years back, and I just reordered the same bed. It also means I can use any still-useable bits from this bed as spares for the other. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Ah ok! That makes sense You can tell how brain dead I am that I need things explaining in baby steps. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 (edited) We all have those days Fort *mooch* We need a new one as well. Mostly because ours is held together with duck-tape Bed, or vacuum cleaner? Edited September 14, 2016 by Kestra15 Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 The vacuum.... My bed is made steel and wheels. Can only rust and not break! Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Do the wheels have a lock? Or do you keep waking up and finding yourself on the other side of the room? Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Lol nope. There is a small lever which can be turned. It then lifts the bottom part a bit up. Then it can move around Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 So you can't accidentally move the bed in your sleep? Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 The vacuum.... My bed is made steel and wheels. Can only rust and not break! Wanna bet? Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Nope... Only movement there is when sleeping and rolling off. But that's really painful! It's quite high. The frame is very sturdy, Kestra. But I know some of the wires will break in the middle Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Do you not have foldy side things on the bed? Like panels? Can't remember the proper word... Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 The bed is something like this Except it's a bit higher... to the waist almost. Then two wheels by the head side on the legs. Then by the feet side there is an extra leg in the middle with a wheel. And a small turn lever to lift it up Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 *spies a Terry Pratchett book* I like that book o3o Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Lol... I still don't think mine would break. Round steel pipes tend to hold out a bit longer. Actually, usually with those they break there 80% of the time in that area Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 *spies a Terry Pratchett book* I like that book o3o Tis a good book. Cancelled my journal subscription. I'm paying £8/month and they never both to send the journal, so why bother? Besides I can access everything online these days. For free. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 It's kinda sad though. That's a good idea Kestra. I've been trying to get my mother to cancel stuff of hers, but she won't listen. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Can't you just do it? I have to cancel most of the stuff for my mum! Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 As I have learned with my Lover, relationships between mums and daughters are not always that straight-forward in the UK Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 I would, but can't for three reasons. 1) I don't know all the details needed to do so. 2) She'd only start them up again if I did. 3) I'd only get told off for my efforts. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Right, I have a lot to do in the next six hours so I will disappear for now *hugs all* Take care! Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 Cherios Kestra! I still don't understand why she would do that if you guys can save a bit of money off it. Share this post Link to post
Posted September 14, 2016 My mother isn't as good with money as she thinks. That's why I have to keep bailing her out. Share this post Link to post
