((I dunno. I'm just lost on what to post...))

Raven growled, getting bored. There was nothing to do here. If only some other pure nova challenged her to a battle... Then, right on cue, there was a bark behind her. She swung around to face another female pure nova, looking slightly crazed, much less control than Raven had over her own body. The offender's head was held high in a challenge and glared defiantly at Raven. She was larger, but Raven didn't mind, she would prefer to fight a larger wolf. Raven leaned forwards, appearing to only be amused and taunt her opponent with interest in her eyes. The other dog growled angrily, sensing the fact that Raven was not thinking much of her. Then she bunched her muscles and leaped.

---

Sitting where she was Selena sighed, feeling a little bored. She picked up her gun and shouldered it, turning to walk away. As she did, she looked into the night sky. No moon tonight... She smiled and began to walk downstairs, hoping that her comrades were alright.

Character Name: Vanora

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Personality: To be Rp'd

Just kidding wink.gif

Vanora tends to be very straightforward, and hates having to depend on others. She often doesn't think things through, and acts mostly on impulse. Her eyes never show any emotion- neither fear, happiness, pain or love. As far as she's concerned, emotions are useless extras that don't have any meaning.

Oh, and she absolutely adores strawberries, willing to do almost anything for them.

Appearance:

History: Vanora was first infected at the young age of 8. Her friend had invited her over to see their new family pup. When she got there, the first thing noticeable about the pup was the fact that it looked bigger than most pups it's age. The second noticeable fact was that the pups eyes were bright red. However, being 8, Vanora paid no mind to these details. She walked fearlessly up to the pup, reaching out her hand to stroke it.

The pup, however, was in no mood to be stroked. In a quick, fleeting motion the pup turned and leaped on Vanora in an angry furry of claws and teeth. Vanora's friend screamed, while her friends parents scurried to find a phone.

Some sirens and chaos later Vanora regained consciousness in a hospital bed. Family and friends were crowded around her, many looking like they had been worried sick. Vanora sat up, glancing at each person with blank, emotionless eyes. One of the nurses walked in, holding a small tray of food. She announced that Vanora would be just fine. Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone, that is, except Vanora. Vanora got out of the hospital bed and walked over to a nearby tray full of surgical tools. She picked one of the scalpels up, examining it closely. The nurse began to say something about sharp objects not bring safe, but Vanora was not listening. She turned and charged towards the nurse, sinking the scalpel dead in the nurses chest. The nurse fall onto the ground with a mixed look of surprise and horror frozen on her face.

More screaming. More phone calls. More sirens. Even the police got involved. Vanora was arrested and thrown into an Asylum.

She spent the next four years in that white room. The room had accumulated many symbols and words drawn from blood on the walls and floors over the years. Her eyes had slowly shifted to the same shade of red as the pup who had first attacked her. Vanora had found that, with effort, she could partially control the murderous madness that came with being infected. However, only partially. Her escape happened when an inexperienced employee opened the door to her white room. No one knew the employees motives for opening the door, and the employee did not live long enough to tell, for Vanora wasted no time in escaping her white and red prison, killing the employee on her way out of her confined cell. She shot down the employee halls just as the alarm bell began to ring.

People started to scurry to and fro as they attempted to find safety. A few dialed 911, some ran out of the building, and others armed themselves with whatever weapons available. It didn't take long for Vanora to reach the entrance of the Asylum amid the chaos. The entrance consisted of double doors and a large window on either side. Not even bothering with the doors, Vanora lept out the right window, which shattered into sharp fragments, many of then piecing Vanora's skin. She didn't care. The pain was a welcome escape from her white cell. Stopping down to pick up one of the larger shards of glass, Vanora sped off into the forest.

((Erm... Sorry for long history...))

Infected or not: Infected...

Weapons:A large shard of glass

Other: Vanora tends to move in the way someone with a slight limp might.

The wind blew into Arrow's face, carrying the cold scent of stone and metal from the city. Staring straight ahead, he was oblivious to any other creatures that might have been nearby. Then, after a few long moments, the wind shifted.

Arrow tensed instinctively as the warm scent of life wafted past him, with no hint of rot or sickness. Normally he would have attacked without hesitation, but something kept him at bay. He sniffed again. His hackles rose as he smelled a darker undercurrent, something harsh, chemical, unnatural. Nova.

Arrow's muddled mind had previously associated Nova with the sickness that tasted like death. He'd eaten an infected before. He really hadn't liked the taste. It had been all wrong, so he'd left the rest for scavengers and looked for prey that wasn't sick. (Sometimes he wondered, did all infected taste the disease like he did?) Yet this Nova had no disease. Strange.

Stiff-legged, the Doberman growled in the general direction of where the smell had come from. "Show yourself, Nova!" he barked. The trace of Nova mixed with -- was that a normal breed? -- kept him from slipping into a mindless predator, but he felt just a bit of rage inside him. Novas made him angry. And he knew exactly why.

((Someone should probably make another pure Nova at the lab, huh?))

Okay, no more hiding. No more running. He needed to fight.

Stepping out his home - aka the shadows, his eyes appeared in the streets. Looking at the infected with glaring eyes, he took another step forward, his mind ushering him back, his heart ushering him forward. A silent, white breath escaped his cold lips as he looked at the infected.

"Infected"

Was all he said.

((Woot! Let's do this :3))

Vanora slowly walks down the borderline between the forest and the ruined city. A jagged piece of glass she holds in her hand, cloth wrapped at the base for better grip. She stops walking. Lifting her head slowly, she turns to face what remained of the city. At first glance it seems only lifeless- but Vanora knows better. Life was like a game. A silly game with no meaning other than to survive.

Survive. What a funny word. Yet every living begin in the world strives for it- through some unknown motive they move forward only to die or perish in some way. What a silly way of life. Clutching her glass weapon Vanora steps into the city, slowly moving among the ruined buildings and through the smell of sickness and death. Perhaps she would find something interesting this time- something worth a little fun. For what is life without fun?

[[censorkip.gif! I’m so sorry, I haven’t even posted yet!]]

Night opened his eyes. The wind blew through his ragged brown and black hair; his ears pricked as the wind hissed, darting through the trees before all fell silent once more. He rolled over to his side, lying there for a few more seconds before raising his head. His golden eyes flashed. Being infected wasn’t something to be taken lightly. His mind was blurry, and nothing seemed to matter to him…other than killing. That was the worst part. Your consciousness is taken away from you, only leaving the feeling of bloodthirstiness. Night sat up abruptly, growling. His ears pricked as he turned his head around, slowly, ominously. He lifted his head up, sniffing the air. He growled deep in his throat, snarling and barking as he jumped through the bushes. An uninfected rat. Savagely, Night lunged forward, showing no mercy as his fangs sank into the rat’s fur. The rat, caught off attention, was shaking with fear, but lifelessness soon enveloped it. The rat went limp under the huge crossed nova dog’s paws. There was a crunching noise heard as Night snacked on the rat.

Lance sighed as he leaned against the walls of a building. All his senses were alert for the signs of uninfected. He spun a blade in his hands, walking towards Selena.

Vanora spends a few minutes walking through the twists and turns that the crumbling buildings lead her through. The city seems even more dead then ever at the moment, and it doesn't take much to get bored. An infected mouse scurries by, causing Vanora to pause and watch it as it speeds across the barren landscape. "Mousy mousy where you go... Scurrying to and fro..." she mumbles to herself. "Over the land of death and waste, mousy, mousy, better make haste." The mouse scurries out of her sight. "Away over the hills you flee, mousy, mousy, just try coming back to me." Vanora stumbles a bit, watching the area where the mouse disappeared for a good moment before continuing her stumbling walk.

Zephyr wandered into the city, eyes, nose, and ears alert. The streets were desolate and filthy, littered with the bodies of fallen infecteds. But where were the humans? He could have sworn that he had scented them. He padded over to a building and batted at the door, meowing, "Anyone there?" It wasn't like humans understood, but it would at least attract their attention. Plus, he needed a place to rest, and that building looked pretty secure. Like his old home. He really missed the old times.

((@SL: It's the building Selena's in))

---

Felicity sat on the curb and stared into the blade of her boxcutter. The tip was a dull shade of brown now, due to the layers of caked on blood. She sighed. The streets weren't as fun as it used to be. Sure, there was a time where there were people to play with and places to explore, but that changed pretty quickly. Now, she already knew the whole place like the back of her hand, and all the people were either somewhere else, infected, or dead. Admittedly, she was responsible for the deaths of many, but it just wasn't enough. Every time she stabbed, slashed, twisted, every time she ended the life of something, she just felt good about it. Still, she needed some variation from the rats that came to nibble on the corpses. They died too quietly.

((So Lance knows Selena?))

Seeing another person come towards her, Selena stopped in her tracks. Then she realized who it was. Lance. Smiling, she walked towards him.

"Hey, Lance! S'up?" she asked, hitting him on the shoulder with unneeded strength, "You alright? Not infected yet?" she asked, laughing a little.

Lance shifted backwards so that he wouldn’t be injured by the pressure strained on his shoulder. “Yeah, I’m great…” He said. “Better enjoy the time while you can. I might be infected tomorrow or something,” He joked.

Selena smiled, glad to know that she wasn't alone. Suddenly she heard a mewing and turned around. There seemed to be a cat around here somewhere.

"Lance, did you hear that?" she whispered, carefully taking a step towards where the noise was coming from.

Character Name: Cassie.

Age: 18.

Gender: Female.

Personality: Cassie is secretive and a bit sassy at times, but most of all, she doesn't like travelling in groups and is quite cautious... but she takes risks a lot of the time. Sarcasm is a main attribute of hers... but overall, she's sad. Her history, her life, her family, it's all brang her down to this mysterious girl who hates other people. If you met her on the street, she wouldn't even glare daggers... she'd just keep walking, ready to turn and attack whenever the slightest bit of danger occurs.

Appearance: The female in the picture -- human

History: hehe....

Infected or not: Nope.

Weapons: A black bow with white arrows.

Other: when the virus comes... blahblah.

"Gotcha"

A silent murmur escaped her shaking lips as she fumbled with another arrow. On the streets stood a few infected, wandering around, looking for a kill. She had just rendered one dead with a single white arrow, and she was going for the rest.

Shaky, long fingers reaching for another arrow, she positioned her bow and slipped the arrow in. Pulling back on the silent string, her lips parted a little and the tip of her tongue poked out. With a soft snnnaappp, the arrow was gone and in another Infected.

One by one, she took them out. As the last one fell limp, she packed up her weapons swiftly like she had trained herself to do and swung her legs over the side of the building she had shot from. Sinking down, her boots touched a cement ledge and she climbed down with that, using her fingers to edge down the side of the tall building. Another risk. Too many risks.

Cassie almost cried out when she scraped her whole arm and part of her hand along some cracked cement. Holding back the searing pain, she caught a glance of crimson red blood but continued her climbing... a little slower. Eventually her feet touched the ground and she crouched, scaling across the disgusting floors of the streets without a word. Quickly turning into a fairly large building that didn't have many signs of life, she leant against the door frame.

Her eyes checked out her bloodied arm. There were large scrapes running from around her shoulder to the middle of her palm. Bruising started to appear and suddenly Cassie released voices. Whipping her head to the side, she pulled out her bow and pushed an arrow into the string. Shooting it at the nearest thing, it missed a male's head by an inch. He looked her age.

Not infected.

And another girl, they were joking around. Cassie's heart dropped. Fun. Fun... what was fun? Oh yeah.

Sighing, she swallowed and took a step back, moving her bow back to her holder and arrow in it's quiver. They weren't infected, and as far as she knew, she wasn't either.

Shaking from her wound, she looked at the two people. Male and female... late teens? No idea. Her age? Sure.

Blinking, she winced softly at the sharp pain in her arm, placing a cold hand over the warm blood. Still looking at them in case she wanted to attack, she picked up the males name was Lance. The other female... well, she had no idea.

Her breathing was a little heavy now as the wound's pain ran through her veins. Ouch. It hurt like hell.

The two feathers in her light brown hair shifted in the breeze and she rubbed the back of her hand across her nose. She was cold, injured and scared. But she didn't show it... other than the injured part. Lifting a freezing hand from her wound, she turned her hand around, seeing crimson blood scattered across her shaking hand. That was all from her wound?

Dizziness started to swirl in, but she tried not to show it, taking a wobbly step back. Oh crap. Would they hurt her? No...

"I'll shoot you if you hurt m-me"

A murmur escaped her lips as the wind pushed her hair about, her feathers silently cruising in the breeze. Chest puffing in and out from dizziness, her eyes blurred for a second. She was going to fall. No... no! Not in front of strangers. Not ones who could hurt her.

Turning on her heels, she sprinted towards the streets. The infected were gone from her kill streak earlier, so she was safe. But suddenly she tripped on a gutter. She fell -- hard -- onto her front, knocking the breath out of her. The pain pushed on into her cold body, blood from her arm starting to drip down onto her shirt. She pressed her legs up so she was in a ball, and wrapped her sore arms around them.

"Ouch ouch ouch ouch"

A murmur escaped her lips.

Now Lance and the girl were going to find her, hurt on the street after she ran from them. And she was in pain. And she was dying. And oh god. She'd just killed herself... kinda.

Getting onto her wobbly feet, dizziness started to come in harder. Her arm hurt, blood ran onto her yellow shirt. Turning around, she saw the dark building she had just ran from. She had just ran from potential allies.

[[ xd.png Basically, she shot a few infected, got hurt from climbing down the building she was on top of, accidentally found Lance & Selena, ran, fell, and got up again dizzily from blood loss. Sorry for the long post D: D: ]]

Selena froze as a whistling noise came from behind her. An arrow impaled the wall an inch from Lance's head. She reloaded her gun and walked forwards towards where the arrow had came from. She was about to shout, "Who's there!?" but the girl that stood with a bow and arrow spoke first. She sounded somewhat terrified. In the dim light, Selena saw that she had a wound. It was quite bad by the looks of it, but, of course, it could just be a trick of the light. Then, the girl suddenly turned and ran. Nope. Not infected. If she was she wouldn't have ran.

"Come on, Lance. We have to go find her!" she said, shouldering her gun and running after the girl.

[[ thanks <3 ]]

Cassie heard the female talk. She reached for her bow, trying to pull it out of it's holder. She couldn't pull it out, but instead collapsed again. Tears formed in her eyes. She'd done all this for nothing. Her survival... she had managed to survive all these years and now she had wasted her life on two strangers.

"D-Don't... C-c..."

But she simply left herself, sprawled out on the ground. Blood came from her wound and she whispered to herself a single word; "just... Survive".

Pressing on her wound, hope filled her up a little. Or rather, the will to live. Her arm was cold and numb. Swallowing, she closed her eyes, rising onto her feet with a groan. Cassie turned around, taking a step back and watching the girl run towards her. Why did she care? Why did she care about a stranger who nearly shot her and her boyfriend? If they were even... together. Looking at the blood on her hand, she groaned softly and took another step back.

"I-I... you... why... do you-you care?"

"Huh?" Selena asked as if she couldn't make sense of the girl's words. She stopped in front of the girl and put her hands on her hips. "Why do I care? Of course I care. I'm not heartless, after all! It's not like anyone would be stupid enough to team up with the Infected so of course I care. We're all on the same side. Now come on! Let's go get that wound cleaned up!" she now took on a more commanding tone, "As long as I'm here, no one will get left to survive alone. Just look at yourself! You're in a horrible mess. We're all survivors. We have to stick together!" She grabbed the other girl by the wrist and began dragging her over, muttering angrily at how Cassie had asked such a question.

Cassie yelped when the other girl grabbed her wrist. She pulled it back and took a few shaky steps back, watching the demanding girl.

"I... don't know you"

Was all she said, dizzy from the wound still. She took a step back, but fell again. Quickly trying to get up, she swallowed. Heart in her throat, she looked at the girl, wobbling onto her sore feet.

"Oww... ... Lach... Lach?"

Her vision blurred. Dots appeared. She took a step forward. Was that... Lach? Her... her... love? He had been taken by the infected. He was one of them now... but she hadn't seen him since they dragged his sore, groaning body away and she slashed at them with her bare fists. Rubbing her nose, she shook violently out of how freezing it was, and how much blood she had lost.

[[ haha, don't worry. she ain't this crazy, it's just the blood loss. ]]

"Hey!" Selena said, turning around as the girl pulled free, "What do you mean, you don't know me...?" Then she seemed to realized that the girl seemed a little... off.

"Are you okay?" she asked warily, examining the girl. Why did this girl think that if you were a stranger, you couldn't be friends? That was just stupid. Why did some people not agree with her? Saying things about untrustworthiness and stuff. That was just a load of censorkip.gif. They should think like she did cause that was how a person with a heart would think like.

"You look very pale. You must have lost a lot of blood. Stop going against me, alright and just listen!" she ordered, "Now come on. You'll die if we stay here too long doing nothing!' Selena attempted to grab the girl's wrist again and pull her inside the building for treatment.

Her strength had drained, and she couldn't pull back. Swallowing, she let the girl pull her into the building. Arrow glared blearily at the strange Nova, head held high and ears cocked forward. There wasn't much holding his mind to reality anymore, except for the faint memory of his owner, so if the dog had been infected he would have attacked in a fit of rage. He bared his teeth and snarled in response, "Nova." His ear twitched slightly as he thought he heard faraway sounds, but he ignored it. "How are you not infected?" he asked, uneasy from the strangeness of the other dog. He eyed the other, looking for weaknesses and openings, ignoring his own wounded leg.
