Animal Attacks

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how scary it is for a strange dog to attack you? Ever been scarred by a wild animal? Have your house infested with ticks?

I've been attacked by a large black German Shepherd. Good thing my own dog distracted the other one, and prevented me from getting bitten. I think he was protecting me... anyways it was very scary. Every been bitten before?

Never really been bitten, though that is only through luck on my part.

One time, I was walking down a street, and a pit bull came running at me and some friends. It was clearly in attack mode, but before it got to us, another dog came out of nowhere and attacked the pit bull. They started fighting right there, and we quickly left as the dog's owners were trying to pull them apart.

The other times were with our next-door neighbor's dogs. They had about four chocolate labs that ran loose(we are outside city limits, it is legal), only one of them was truly mean, however the others would follow her lead when she got aggressive to people. Once I was walking back from feeding my neighbor's horses(not the same neighbor), and her dog, Spike, was "escorting" me. Sure enough, while I was on the road, the labs rushed at me, but Spike got between me and them and ended up driving them off.

Once, when I was in middle school, I was nearly gored. By a white tailed buck. I was stupid. It was during rut. It didn't move when the car went by. It had a huge rack and was a magnificent deer. I didn't want it to die. I got out of the car and walked towards it, trying to scare it away from the road. I clapped. I didn't back down. I looked it in the eyes. Then in a matter of what felt like half a second, it charged me. At the last second, the deer turned. I thought it was just running away. Mom said it had its head down, charging. I had an adrenaline rush. I've never felt so lucky, walking away.

When I first moves to the deary me and my brother were at the house watching Tv and he layer his head down to sleep and I look down and saw a bark scorpian. Unkowinf me put my hand to close to it and the thing jumped on me when I tried to shoo my brother off. Luckily I swat it off and eventually killed it but for the second it was in me I was freaking out.

My snake mistook me for her mouse when I was feeding her one night. She left a little snake head-shaped row of pinpricks on my finger after I removed the mighty huntress from it. I have never seen her look as shocked as she did when she realized her prey just slid out of her mouth. xd.png

I had a little pillbug community in my backyard as a child(I fed them, gave them water, etc. in a barren planter box) and the ants decided to attack it and raid the adults for their meat. I was angry when I saw what was happening and killed half of the ant attackers, but by the time they fled, the damage was done and all that was left were a few young adults and a bunch of orphaned litters of babies.

When I was over at my friend's house her dog just attacked my hand for no reason. She just lunged for it and bit down. When my friend tried to calm her down, she bit her hand as well. It was strange. Luckily, it was only a Chihuahua xd.png

When I was little, I was sledding on the neighborhood sled hill with my friends. All of the sudden, one of the dogs from the nearby houses came running towards one of my friends. I had a strange split second reaction to jump on my sled and charge towards the dog, which worked. It stopped chasing my friend and chased me. Almost all the way to the end of the hill, the dog grabbed my leg in it's teeth and started violently shaking it around like toy. I don't remember how long it did that, but I eventually kicked it off of me and the owner ran down the hill claiming "the dog only wanted to play". The dog's teeth went through a pair of snow pants, a pair of pajama pants and two pairs of jeans. I remember it being badly bruised, but i'm pretty sure there was no blood. And I still have the teeth mark scar on my leg, years later. Thank goodness it was really cold that day (thus, wearing a lot of layers of clothing) and the dog went for my leg and nothing else, otherwise that dog could have done some really damage.

I don't remember being scared, I remember being confused. I was a dog lover back then and I remember not understanding why this dog would attack me like that. Of course, there's no reason that dog should have attacked me, but I didn't know that. It really hurt, but I don't ever remember being scared. Same thing when I broke my arm in half years later. I don't think pain registers as something I should be afraid of in my head. I'm weird. XD

One time I got bit by a horse once when I was six, trying to feed it a carrot =o It was cool though, the horse acted all worried and apologetic. Totally enlightening for a six year old, seeing this huge horse upset that he almost broke my finger bones.

But no, I've never been hurt by an animal that wasn't a result of my own error.

Was it a poisonous snake?

It was her pet snake. I'm sure if her pet was poisonous she'd exert greater care in not being bitten.

Yup, the snake is just a harmless little corn snake. The only stuff that will come out of her mouth is snake drool. :P
