Quick question to anyone who might know. What verse in the Bible says exactly when Jesus was born? If no one can find it, which they won't because I've studied that subject, then that would mean christmas is a sham, right?..

The actual date of the birth of Jesus is not stated in the gospel or in any historical sources. There is a Pagan history and a Christian history about it.

Is it a sham? If you associate the word on just the date of His birth then perhaps yes, since no one really knows the actual date.

But if you see it as the birth of Jesus and as a means of reminding ourselves what He really came to do here on earth, then it is not a sham at all. From the word itself, "Christ" points to Jesus, and "mas", meaning a mass service. It is a day where people gather together as a family, as a brothers and sisters in Christ, reminding ourselves that Jesus came to earth and died on the cross for our sins.

Should people celebrate Christmas? That depends on one's belief and one's choice. If you do not believe in Christmas, then don't do it. But do not judge those who believe and celebrate it. People should respect everyone's opinion and should not force one's belief on others.

"Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ."

-Colossians 2:16-17
