Posted January 17, 2015 There are two sides to this. First, if someone is clearing out the caves then rares will be more common, because more eggs will spawn if the cave is unblocked. More CB rares means more people breeding them which means that rares will be easier to obtain. But rares are only valuable because they are rare. They have a collector's value, rather than having more functionality than a common dragon. If rares are less of a challenge, the game becomes less fun. However, there is a flaw in the above argument; it assumes that this project will be an enormous success and have a huge effect. At the moment, cave blocking does present a balance problem, and this project is probably not going to cause a massive imbalance towards easiness. Actually, I suspect it will improve balance and make the game more fun. So in other, shorter words, I think there are two sides to the argument. While acknowledging the other side, I agree with you and would like to join. However, I think that the project has overlooked something; abandoned egg cave. The cave is also getting clogged, and the eggs there aren't CB. Maybe have a process where the person who caught it says they got it from the cave, and then you check if they have the parents so they can't breed it then claim it was from the cave. It shouldn't be any more hassle than checking what they did with the offspring. Thank you for reading my long and admittedly a bit pointless analysis of this project. Will only donate prize dragons 4th gen+ and metallics 3G+ though, so please don't ask me for low-gens of those. Everything else is free! Are you a temporary or permanent donator?
