Posted August 9, 2021 oooh vanilla frosting! the next book up is A Lonely Man by Chris Power - it's got the feeling of a thriller with some intrigue and hijinks happening. an author meets another man who's writing a book on a russian oligarch... and then the oligarch ends up dead, and ... i don't want know any more than that, thankyouverymuch. i heard about it on NPR/Fresh Air some time ago. I love being an ICU nurse, but since becoming a Charge Nurse last year I've really not enjoyed it because I spend most of my shifts running my part of the unit rather than looking after patients - and that's just not what I came into nursing for.
