I'm venturing more into pixel art, as you can see by my little scroll/wishlist signs

It's a lot of manipulating, using different stocks and images to create one thing (An example would be possibly the coolest thing I ever made, this "house" crest with my last name)

 

That banner up there used a bunch of different aurora/northern lights stock images, different vectors and illustrator pieces to put together the leaves/tree limbs, and combined a shield vector with an owl vector to create the owl shield. All of that also had some original brushing using Photoshop brushes/smudge settings to finish it off.

 

But for dragon cave purposes, it would be anything that doesn't require actual DRAWING talent. I can take things and transform them, and I can kinda make basic digital things using Illustrator and Photoshop, but I am best at transforming, not drawing or coloring art from scratch.

 

But seriously, throw any request at me that doesn't involve drawing things, and I will definitely make an attempt at it!

 

Here is a new attempt at pixels. It's a banner for my Pern lineage project, based off the books by Anne McAffrey

I very much love segmented sigs. The one you made for The Dragoness is very very nice, could you do something like that for me too? Although I'd like it to be slightly wider and not so tall (around 500 x 100?).

 

Here's what I'd like to see in it (in no particular order, whatever looks best):

As for the style, uh, I dont really know? But I like this. I have NO idea if that's something you can use (technically and/or esthetically speaking), so if not, anything in the same vein? Oh, and no border, I think.

 

Does this make sense, and is it feasible at all?

It's definitely feasible! The dimensions & the general aesthetic both. I'll keep you updated on my progress. I'm sure I can fit all the text...the Aegis might be too big so it might pop out of the standard dimensions, or I may just use the egg sprite in there or...well...something. I'll see when I get there haha.

 

PS I wouldn't want to use that image directly, but I can photoshop a green and leafy and lush signature with a blurred out background. It's all in the brushes.

Oooh great thank you! Don't worry, I totally understand the late reply because of Halloween catching/breeding/trading frenzy...

And anyway, there's no rush at all, take your time. (although the background sounds good and I like the egg idea and I generally can't wait to see what you'll come up with ^^)

I totally understand, don't worry about being a noob. Just ask questions till you know things, that's what I did lol.

 

Do you think you want something to put in your signature? (if you look at my post, the "signature" area is where I have my "1 stop banner shop" banner, my "silver breeder" badge, the purple and teal swirly egg, etc)

 

OR do you want something to use as your Avatar? Again if you look at my post, where you see the yellow and purple cupcake graphic under my name is called an avatar.

 

THIRD, I could make you a matching signature + avatar set. I can definitely incorporate the text & birthdate with the pillow dragon. Let me know if you want a signature, avatar, or both, and I will get on this asap!

I've begun working on the text for the signature. Unfortunately, I cannot use your ARK badge in your signature itself due to copyright/permissions - the ARK thread states the following: (bold added to show relevance)

 

Permissions and limitations for use of the artwork: Please do not alter the artwork in any way except for resize. Altering is doing any changes such as adding or changing words or fonts (styles of the print), using the art in any other way than for ARK only, or changing any part of the actual picture. This would include changing the colors, changing the pose, adding, subtracting, or changing any of the text. Please do not use the ARK artwork as part of another picture, this is copyright infringement.

 

If you want to contact User "sif" who made that badge and request permission, go ahead! Otherwise, I'll incorporate the fact that you're ARK listed without using any of their official badges.

No problem! I think it's ingrained in my brain now to check for those things because I expect the same courtesy if anybody uses my artwork lol.

 

Here is what I've got! Unsegmented so far. Let me know if everything's good and I'll break it up into segments for you. Feel free to request ANY changes - it's a layered PSD and pretty much everything is movable/changeable. 2nd version is made with Sif's permission!

 

 

 

UPDATE 3 - Because what is sleep? Here's a version with different fonts. Second capitalizes your username as well.

Ooooh! Very very pretty! There is one thing, do you think you could put the wishlist in the top right corner, Clya's Raffles in the bottom right corner and the Flight Rising one in the bottom left? I think that might help balance the images ^-^

 

Aw, that sucks! I'm super jealous of all your pretty retired festival familiars and apparel though Those are some super pretty dragons, I wonder if they'll listen to someone else asking for it to be unlocked? I hate it that you can't get in it because they made a mistake about you, that's awful!
