Posted July 8, 2012 Thank you everyone for the votes in the last contest. This new contest is themed "Buildings". It can be any building, like churches, malls, houses, theatres... Details of a building, like a statue or just a column is not allowed. Example: The Rules: - One entry per person - Picture has to be made by yourself and can't be just a reproduction of someone's work. If someone else's work is in the picture, there needs to be something extra. - No manipulation besides basic photo adjustments (contrast, exposure, cropping, colour balance, lighting, etc.) - No text or framing in the photo. A signature/watermark is just fine, but it's preferable if you don't have "O Hai Eye Hav3 T3XT" (or something similar) present in the photo. - When voting, please don't select your own image. This will ensure fairness. - You are free to submit an old photo; you don't need to take a new one just for this competition. Posted July 9, 2012 Hmm. I have exactly one picture of a building, and it's not very special. Guess I'll have to opt out of this one. No nice buildings around here to take pictures of. Share this post Link to post

Posted July 10, 2012 (edited) @Lagie, Houghton Mill is, I think, a better picture, but I like the University too, because it is all covered in vines! This. I love the fact that the University is covered in that gorgeous vine, but I like the actual picture of the Mill better. I'm going to walk around Norwich and see if I can find any old buildings. On second note, do the buildings have to still be intact? Cause I have this one: Whale Rock Lighthouse, destroyed in 1938 due to a hurricane. If not, I also have this one. Newport House If it counts... Or I can do what I was planning and go take one in Norwich tomorrow. Edited July 10, 2012 by Kanaye Share this post Link to post
Posted July 10, 2012 If not, I also have this one. Newport House If it counts... Oh I like that one. I want to do a series with gates, doors and windows and that is just another great example that would fit right in it! Too bad it is ofcourse no way near where I live Share this post Link to post
Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) Houghton Mill Houghton Mill it is! Thanks for your input, everyone. I'm the odd man out in that I like Sapph's #1 picture better. Kanaye, I prefer Newport House. Edited July 11, 2012 by Lagie Share this post Link to post
