  1. I am releasing these to create destruction! Scroll Name and Link: Showtime Forum Name: Chuint Dragons releasing/released: Albino Hatchling Brimstone Hatchling Terrea Hatchling
  2. The walls don't really bother me. If they're decently low time, I might even snag a handful to help complete my goal of three frozen hatchies of each breed. That said, I usually just ignore the walls and go do other things until they thin out.
  3. This little purebred baby turned out to be an alt, and it's my first one! I'm utterly ecstatic, especially given that this is its mother's first babbu and that I set her up with this result in mind. Didn't expect to get one on the first try!
  4. Xenowyrm type: Chrono Gender: Male - Mate: Striped River Dragon Biome: Forest Elemental affinity: Neutral? Mana: - - Result: Chrono http://dragcave.net/lineage/22jKe All of mine that produced eggs have bred true so far, though all but one was paired with a Neutral species. The one that was paired with a Daydream bred true, as well, but the Daydream's location listed as Cave. My female Pyro refused an Ember earlier and my female Gaia didn't produce anything when bred with a Anagallis.
  5. Xenowyrm type: Astrapi Gender: Male - Mate: Frill Biome: Cave (Non-specific) Elemental affinity: Neutral? Mana: - - Result: Astrapi http://dragcave.net/lineage/rJuRC - - - - - Xenowyrm type: Thalassas Gender: Female - Mate: Daydream Biome: Cave (Non-specific) Elemental affinity: Change Mana: Air? - Result: Thalassas http://dragcave.net/lineage/tkzgb Im not fully versed on the mana thing, so Im not sure which to list the Daydream as.
  6. Made me think... Maybe each individual Xenowyrm is only capable of creating a child of a certain type of Xeno? Like, a single Pyro being capable of only producing Gaias while another Pyro is producing some other type. That would explain the odd results we're getting when you pair two of them together. But I havent fully checked out this whole thread yet, and we wont start to understand until we've bred each wyrm multiple times. Any consensus so far? EDIT: Oooh, once mine all grow up, I might try to make a rainbow checker out of them all if they do produce different types per pair...
  7. All but one of mine have gendered, and now comes the task f finding names for them. Surprisingly difficult, given how stubborn I am. I'll probably just put the few Im missing on my "things I need to catch later" list. They're so lovely, Im just happy to have this many.
  8. Wait, can the orange ones preform the Teleport BSA? Grow hatchies, grow! I gotta know this!
  9. They're all so gorgeous! I'm extremely happy to have gotten one of each now! They still look like seahorses to me, though.
  10. To be fair, I think I snagged them sometime after midnight of the release. I did spend the day out elsewhere, but I still count it as the same night.
  11. Same here, I was lucky and caught one of each of the new eggs the night they were released, but even after incubating they've only just hatched today... and the one egg I didn't have an incubate left for is still waiting. Valley of Sherwood is telling me it's only a handful of hours until it does hatch. Though I'll chime in and mention that I have only seen one of the new eggs in the wild since that first night, and even clicking it as quickly as I could I still didn't get it. Never saw another one, so I'm just gonna assume it'll turn out to be rare for me. I'm kind of hoping they gender like the Nebulas do, with each color only gendering a certain way. Im not what you'd call a fast clicker, but at least the focus on the release helped me to grab a few other CBs I was needing while everyone else in my boat kept looking for these new things.
  12. Hmm... this made me think. You know how the GoNs produce different offspring based on the alignment (or whatever) of their mates? The squigglies are supposed to be big on mana, right? What if they produce offspring of different colors (or, daresay, species) based on their mate's type of innate mana? Or, maybe each color can only successfully breed with dragons of a certain mana signature?
  13. I always assumed that was because they hatched or something, but then again Im not super familiar with how the AP works. The eggs Ive bothered checking on after abandoning never have names on them, and I never did want to think everybody hides their scroll names on dragons.
  14. Hey, there's always people like me willing to help you out with breeding if you ever need it. I don't even care about payment, though I would just worry about whether I have the types of mates you would want for the Frill.
  15. I would like to be a part of this evil plan! Scroll Name and Link: Showtime Password: Eggplant! Your best evil laughter: Pffftahaha- *snort* -aahahahhaa!! Am I right in thinking that kept and frozen hatclings don't count as points? Ive been collecting commons lately for their hatchling sprites, as well, and just wanted to be certain that none of them count (or do?).
  16. Ahhhh, Peridot is my absolute favorite. She's just so wily and silly, she's replaced Garnet in my heart. Though, she's a close second after Sapphire.
  17. Technically, killing inbred dragons would be acting in their best interests... if this was more like real life, anyway. Inbred animals often have life-threatening birth defects, and they have a chance of passing those down to their own offspring. And Im not saying even that's the right thing to do IRL (Im neutral on that topic and we probably shouldnt get into that here), but you could use that as a metaphor for what happens on DC. The inbred dragons grow up and have inbred eggs of their own, many (or a good few) of which end up killed, frozen, or ignored until death on the AP due to their inbred lineages. Im perfectly fine with how others play the game (Im not about to go and start denouncing everybody who plays differently than me, I actually love the inbred lineages that are actually thought out and planned to look nice) but I just like to debate.
  18. Name: Gweg Cluim Lingwir Egg Stolen on: Jan 24, 2009 Hatched on: Jan 28, 2009 Grew up on: Jan 31, 2009 I joined the forums on February 15th of '09, wanting help catching the Valentines because I had dialup at the time. Somehow, I've missed every single Halloween (with a total of one CB Halloween, from the most recent). Ive taken several breaks off and on, but I usually try to come back for holidays. Lately, though, Ive been focusing a lot on gathering all the breeds and setting up lineages.
  19. I loved Frills, but sadly released most of mine shortly before they got discontinued. At least I managed to save one 2g male, a cb female, and one frozen hatchling. Im kicking myself over my single Bright Pink, I didnt like them much back then but they've really grown on me. Id at least liked to have a frozen hatchling, as well.
  20. I managed to get one of each egg last night, and Im eager to see how they turn out! Hopefully they arent too rare, Im still upset with myself for not realizing there were multiple colors of Gemshard and missing out on snagging two of each color/gender. Gosh, Im usually bad at catching They look like Seahorses to me! Im kind of hoping they are.
  21. I just want to throw in my two-cents about this, but if I accidentally bred an inbred egg, I wouldn't want my dragons to be involved in that lineage at all and would still go ahead and get rid of any inbreds I come across otherwise. Usually through releasing them into the wild rather than killing, but like I said that's more to keep myself in good standing with Trade threads. The way I see it, if I allow them to stay in the breeding pool, they're going to potentially create more inbred eggs that are going to clog up the AP even moreso than it already is. That, and I've got some full-grown messy lineaged dragons I plan on killing this Halloween for zombies, now that I've remembered they exist.
  22. I kill pretty infrequently, but by no means am I "disgusted" by it and think using the word kill is just fine. Several dragon descriptions even bring up death and violence, and this game does seem to have some weird sort of 'nature' theme. I usually kill around Halloween in the hopes of snagging a zombie, though I've missed out on a good few Halloweens in the past, so much of my scroll is taken up by the holiday dragons rather than zombie fodder. Though I've been tempted to kill eggs when I get unwanted breeds and colors, and I have done so before, I just rarely do it. Mostly so I can continue to get/give help in trading threads.
  23. What lovely eggs! Anyone seeing a little lime green background on TJ's hatchlings?
  24. I had the same issue with a few Valentines I was hatching, though they were messies and for the use of freezing (Gotta catch all the sprites!) Thank goodness I got to them before they gendered, or I would have been angry... I'm super giddy for the release, though it's likely I won't be on right at midnight. Just means I can skip some of the initial rush.
  25. Ahh, should have thought of that! Thank you, and better luck next year to myself and the rest of us! Also, congrats to all winners.
