Man i did a search and could not believe we did not have a minecraft thread yet
 Anyway i just restarted cus i havent got a decent map yet and bam i got an epic spawn point with tons of caves and both a above ground lavafall and a waterfall and tons of coal I am so building a shelter behind the lavafall  this is my soon to be base so far all ive done is contaned the lave slightly and hollowed out a space full of gravel This post has been edited by chickenhound on Oct 8 2010, 03:08 PM |

Is there, like, a free survival version? I'd like to try it... *puts on shades* before I buy it. YEEEEEAAAAHHHH
Srsly, though. Wikipedia mentioned that classic had two modes- Creative and Survival- but clicking Classic (Singleplayer) on the site brings up Creative mode (or what I'm assuming is Creative mode), with no option for a Survival mode. HALP PLZ LOL |

sorry but you have to pay to get survival mode but on the brite side its on sale for a one time payment of 13.50$ us dollers (it will rise in price as the game goes into beta and its final form)

Hmm... From watching the video, 13.50 is defo worth it. I've got the cash... Now if I can just persuade my mom to buy it (since she's the one with the Paypal account and all) before the price goes up.
Just so I don't feel like a noob and loser when I do get it, how do the controls differ between Survival and Creative modes? |

Also you are now aware notch is adding dragons, hedgehogs, saddles for dragons, and terrifying monsters exclusively meant to psycologically mess with you. Ever read weeping angel? EXACTLY like that, and more. |

was mining and ran into a nest of 7 zombies (only 6 are in the pic the 7th is to far down to get it in the shot easily
there must be a dungeon near by but i don't see any cobblestone yet.  Edit there was a spider too thank notch for bow and arrows  also found gold at the bottom! This post has been edited by chickenhound on Oct 9 2010, 12:30 PM |

But anyway I've played this before, had/have a file with late game stuff, top of a mountain house, a mine to the very bottom (Even found the void down there), and got a bit of diamond. But I haven't touched it in forever. |

I play a bit, but I haven't exactly gotten far. I have more fun making roller coasters, honestly. They're so fun to make! I also plan to make some kind of redstone-powered boolean logic operator. Like AND, OR, XOR, stuff like that. I saw one guy who's working on a 16 bit computer run entirely in MineCraft!
I also saw one guy who's making a 1 to 1 scale model of the enterprise-d. |
