I think my shard counter did not reset today. It being Sunday, only today's activity should count. By my reckoning, today I've picked up 3 eggs from the biomes (15 shards), had 3 eggs hatch (9 shards), and had 7 dragons mature to adults (21 shards) for a total of 45. But my shard counter is showing I'm at 100 for the week. My only other activity today has been influencing, incubating, and naming, none of which give shards (as far as I know). So either I've gotten more shards than I should have, or I've gotten NO shards today and the 100 shards are all from last week. Or I don't know how shards are awarded — also possible! Edited to add: just had another dragon grow up, so I think my total should now be 48 shards. But nothing else should happen for about 12 more hours now. Edit 2: Phooey. Accidentally picked up an AP egg (dropped it again). So I think total should now be 49. Closing DragCave so I don't mess up again. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 29, 2023 Mine seemed to be at 100 yesterday - but has now reverted and makes sense. Try a hard refresh ? 5 shards: Pick up an egg from any habitat. 3 shards: Hatch an egg on your scroll. 3 shards: Hatchling matures to adulthood on your scroll. 2 shards: Breed an egg from your dragons (unsuccessful attempts do not give shards). 1 shard: Pick up an egg from the abandoned page. 1 shard: Review a pending dragon description. Posted May 29, 2023 Rebooting won't clear your cache.Ctrl + F5 will do a hard refresh, which MIGHT fix it (I have a slightly similar issue playing Worldle ad a reboot makes no odds !) - or clear your cache.. Share this post Link to post
Posted May 29, 2023 (edited) Just to keep things accurate, have had 3 more eggs hatch. Shard count should now be 58. Confirm that I have not done any breeding (which would show up in my Actions Log), nor have I reviewed descriptions. Cleared cache, no change. Restarted browser, cleared cache again, still no change. Posted May 29, 2023 One more egg hatched, so now should be 61 shards. Should be the last activity for a while: remaining eggs have 15 more hours to go; hatchlings 18 or more. I fear I'm not going to get any shard credit for this week, because I feel it's more likely my counter didn't reset (i.e., this is last week's total) than I randomly got more shard credit than I should have. Posted May 29, 2023 Solution There is no way for the shard counter to not reset--there's no active action required for it to reset, the site just starts looking at a different time window. I see 100 shards worth of actions occurring yesterday. All of those 100 shards contributing to your limit were earned yesterday. Share this post Link to post
