Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) Update to Thread... Complete Please do not go through and edit/revise anything before this post. Points and hatchlings have been added. Dragorala requested and received an Evil Gift! Points have been deducted for the prize and points added to the gifter. A question that has come up is : Is it less confusing for me to keep it to one post per page/update? Or would it be okay to in the future do another post on the same page if, for example, the thread has fallen off the first page when I go to release a hatchie? Going through and revising a post multiple times has been a bit trying. I think for the time being only revise a post on the same day of the original posting. That way the database of hatchlings can stay chronological. Flamingos have reached 5 votes which means Flamingos have been added to our eligible breeds list. You can start catching and hatching these dragons off the AP for points! Just a reminder, Pyrope Pyralspites have been removed from the eligible breeds list. I think it's fine when one member makes one posting (which can be edited when necessary) per update. After an update posting took place, a new posting can be created. And about the second paragraph: Do you mean to say it's easier if we don't edit our postings (unless the edits take place on the same day as the posting)? I think that's pretty inconvenient... Why spam the thread if we can just edit? (Except if an update post is currently in progress.) Why is the exact release date so important anyway? The purple was a quote from FyoraSilverwolf which had it's formatting eaten. When new hatchlings are added to the database they are placed above the previous ones. If someone revises a post several times that means more data is being slide back and forth and inserted between other records which takes more time and may cause points to be miscalculated. Currently the database is updated first and then points are assigned based on that data. Since this thread is newish I am trying to find a good way to handle this as you are correct, we don't want spamming. And I am also new to thread management and am aiming for accuracy and ease of updating. Perhaps if the date the hatchlings were released was listed next to it's lineage code it will still be easy to track and convenient for the members. What do you think? Share this post Link to post
