So yeah, I started a thread like three years ago when I was much worse and I don't even want to look at it so yeah.

 

I'd link my DA but I just cleaned it up and haven't added anything so there's nothing really to see, so I'll just post some recent things I guess?? Bad photo quality is bad and I'm too lazy to scan all the things I draw

That tangled serpent dragon is awesome, I can't even attempt to draw anything that twisty without confusing the heck out of myself

 

you want to go to SCAD? That's cool! My cousin went to SCAD, he really liked it there.

Yeah, I had a necklace in that basic shape so I just copied it. ^^;

 

 

And yeah, SCAD is my main goal. I doubt I'll actually get there, but hey, aim high and hit low, and you can still achieve a lot!

Of course not! I'm not a big fan of trolls but those dragons are really good, especially the black/blue design there.

I'm really bad at giving complements and even worse at giving constructive criticism without sounding pretentious orz I'm so sorry I haven't taken the time to properly reply

I think I applied for SCAD but decided not to go because it was too far and too expensive (I live in Canada). Best of luck! ^^

And yeah, this is really basic stuff I do. I can do better drawings that aren't cartoonish if I have refs and stuff (like drawing from photos or life or something) but these are kinda a no ref/ outta my head. My 'personal style' I guess.

 

I like to practice this though, because I want to do concept/character design as my career (and boy do I get some looks for that)

Just because people aren't replying to your art thread doesn't mean they don't like your art. Sometimes people just don't have anything to say. Keep updating and progressing and you'll amass a bigger audience.

That's something that I'd really like to do as well, though it's happening more in my spare time rather than anything serious. It's kind of like a puzzle, trying to make each character recognizable in silhouette and using design to imply certain things about them. Do you follow Character Design References on Facebook? They're pretty cool.

I have decided to enlist your talents! I really want an avatar to use other than something on the internet. So, I would love either an Eastern Dragon head or some form of Okami fanart. Colored would be awesome but not necessary, go nuts :3
