Posted October 1, 2014 Anubis is really amazing, the paint is really well-done. It really seems smooth with slight texture to imply fur, and the golds and blues really pop against the black while showing off the shape of the mask. The only thing I'd say doesn't appeal to me are the runes, and the feathers around the ankh- Egyptian art is often very simplistic, and the careful lines and designs take away from the effect. The use of coppery orange is really effective, though, because it's the only place the color is used. It really draws attention! Ever After has epic designs and coloration, but the quality of the paint and painting is slightly less impressive than in Anumbis. It lacks the same sheen, and seems a bit messier- love the lighter swirls, though. They're really subtle, but are really enthralling. Share this post Link to post
