Posted November 13, 2012 Keeping a limited pair means that some folks who might trade for an offspring won't because they don't like the intended mate. I guess if you don't really trade much it won't matter to you, but it can be a deterrent to a trading partner. I have never understood the one mate thing, since I like all kinds of lineage pairings. Posted November 13, 2012 Some of mine have set mates (they have always bred well together) but I prefer to mix and match. It has helped me before, to try a different mate. For an example, i always bred my one Gold dragon to the same mate and although they liked each other, they never produced an egg. Next time, I bred him to a different Gold and boom, a 2nd gen Gold.
