  1. People will say it's because DC is not meant to be a game you quickly catch up with, but a long-term collection goal. If everyone can complete a new release immediately, it adds no more longevity to the game for many people. However, I don't think it's really a good answer to a situation that, by that line of thought, is already quite imbalanced in giving people what they want right away. I suppose only letting a portion of users get the advantage is supposed to be some sort of balance for this predicament.
  2. Really cool dragons, but a miserable release. It's still been days on and 5 minute drops are still gone in less than a second. I have no clue how the average person is expected to get new releases anymore outside of buying them from the market later. If anything convinced me DC needs to change up how the drops work, it's this and the previous release.
  3. Crossing my fingers it isn't too late and needs fixing. I always put too much time in and it becomes last minute submissions...
  4. This is the default 26x28 egg base: The submission limit is 50x50, so you can extend your chosen decorations or scene outside of this egg base to that amount.
  5. Losing pieces under the WIP puzzle seems to be common. It makes me wish there was a button to toggle layers or "move" unplaced pieces to the corner of the screen.
  6. Fingers crossed. Couldn't do something quite as ambitious this time, but still like how it looks.
  7. This should answer all your questions. As for why most of the cards are eggs, I thought it was good for the theme (and probably helped it avoid being declined for having too many non-egg frames). The eggs are all random and any similarity to existing dragons is a coincidence.
  8. Yes I see that, I tested some obvious problem sprites. But it might be a broader check than the "only used by single digit pixels and close to xRGB other colour" check, and overall indicate the palette is messy or inconsistent. This in itself is not really a huge problem, but it definitely pays to keep track of your colour use so that contrast and other values work as well as they can for the sprite.
  9. I think it could also mean you used too many similar colours, as indexing generally would prevent that problem from happening. But I'm not sure what it checks for.
  10. Not sure what this means, is that all it said? Can you DM me your sprite?
  11. I forget Easter is later this year, was wondering why it was so far on.
  12. Think I'll put one in this year, might as well. Time to be productive.
  13. One room in the cave. I thought there was always an orange (magi) crystal that spawned. If for some reason you cleared the cave and there weren't any, you will have to wait (10 mins?) for the respawn.
  14. Gold is full completion. Silver is somewhere in the middle - well, actually it must be relatively early as I got it before completing half of the museum. Because you get 3x of a crop on a single harvest, you actually only need to plant every crop once.
  15. Polly will give you decorations if you donate, and then a separate set of decorations if you gift to her. It's like the shop in town where if you go behind the counter, they go from business to casual talk, and then that's where the gift option appears.
  16. Gold is the final badge level as far as we know (and TJ was involved in this conversation, so that should be confirmation). Reports of a platinum badge I think are still the silver badge that hasn't updated yet.
  17. Thanks, forgot about that one.
  18. Go into town and find the building with the labelled Shop sign. You can trade mana crystals for seed packets. This requires time for things to grow though. Even easier, just go south of the farm into the woods and gather any of the resources (honey, eggs, silk, hazelnuts). Just donate one and you get the base level badge.
  19. Complete fishing guide below: Note: If you hate fishing, you can get the bronze level badge without any fish at all. Donate a single item to the Wandering Museum (the large ship in the town), which includes crops or wild resources (honey, silk, wild eggs and hazelnuts). To speedrun this badge, go to the woods south of the farm, head east to the frozen pond, and interact with a short dead tree north of the pond to receive silk. The badge upgrades to silver after a certain number of completed exhibits, and it may also be possible without fish.
  20. Go inside your house and use the crafting station. You will need cactus bamboo and some other things for the other 2 fishing rod stages.
  21. The badge seems to come from museum ship donations. You might try donating the "other" stuff (wild resources like honey, or crops) to see if it triggers the badge too. You get the hang of the fishing eventually, it took me a bit.
  22. Found four fishing spots so far, total 27 fish but there's probably some rare ones I haven't seen. The south lake has multiple carp.
  23. Oh boy, and I thought mine took a long time at 10 hours. Hopefully not too late for acceptance, I've been busy with work this month. 🤞
  24. Still no "scorched eggs" since this time yesterday. Pines are still occasionally dropping.
  25. Did they stop dropping already? I haven't seen any in the past 5 minute drops or the last hour drop.
