I'm not sure I can describe how much that hurts. But my pain does not change the reality of the situation or how people who don't know me will perceive me, so I will just have to process this so I can be prepared for it in the future, I guess. Yes, protests are a thing that can be done, and I was not intending to discourage that practice. I was pushing back against the quoted article's assertion that every single individual American was personally responsible for the President remaining the President, which is just not so. Even if we all protested every single day, it would still be up to the elected officials in the Senate and House of Representatives to actually vote accordingly. If they don't, the only thing people can do is not vote for them when they're up for re-election and continue protesting if necessary afterwards.

If he doesn't choose to resign, Congress has to be involved, either through enough of them declaring him unfit for office or via impeachment. [Edited to add] So even if there was a means by which a non-elected individual could start either process (none that I know of), and this individual had the unanimous support of their state's senators AND representatives (cannot realistically guarantee), such action would end once it got to the legislature at large. Right now there is not enough of Congress wanting to do either one.

But... The average American has no way to remove the President from office except by very illegal means.

I think I'm going to run out of attempts before I run out of hatchlings. I have a dozen moonblights total, four of which grow up later. My first attempt died, and then it took SIX to successfully curse the second hatchling. The third hatchling has also escaped, so I guess I'll see what comes of the rest after lunch.

Sapphires turn pink when they are sent to the AP via the abandon action. You can search the AP until one turns up, look for trades that are offering pink sapphires, or try to find someone who can help you by picking the egg you abandon to the AP as you do so. That last bit is tricky to schedule and is not guaranteed, but it is an option.

Honestly? The problem I want a solution for is the lag. If I'm there on a NR hourly and I hit refresh, I shouldn't just hit an extra-long load time and then still see the same "no eggs" notification that I had before the drop. I don't mind other people being faster, I mind not having the opportunity in the first place.

While I'm certainly interested in the new dino, I can't really get excited about something it feels like I'll never catch. Not that that's anybody's fault per se, but between high player population and low cave supply, the difficulty is quite high.

I don't know about the average person, but everybody I know who gets a text from a company or service or political campaign just expresses irritation and immediately deletes it without reading it at all. Mileage may vary, though.

Yeah, I don't really appreciate being contacted in any way by political campaigns, and yet I get texts and calls all the time.

If multiple dragons grow up at the same time, sometimes the counter gets confused and does not count all of them. I keep mine fogged until it's time for them to grow, and then unfog one at a time and confirm the counter has gone up before unfogging the next one.

Sometimes this happens to me, and if I force a reload of the egg's page (ctrl + F5), the click will register properly.
