The plague among the forest dwelling Pokemon had spread. It had fairly basic symptoms at the beginning: A gray discolouration on centre of the body, followed by lethargy and apathy to others as it keeps spreading. The worried friends or packmates who tried to check on them when said Pokemon becomes apathetic would get attacked, and often survive, but at the cost - for the plague was contagious in nature. It would cause losses within communities, and with how primitive those were, a warning couldn't spread fast enough.

Eventually, it has spread everywhere and in every single pocket of the world, there was more infected Pokemon than healthy ones. The Legendaries and Mythicals, sensing the nature of it, would escape towards the space with the help of Rayquaza and Deoxys, whose rivalry was temporarily put aside for a survival of the concepts of the world. But one image was etched in their head while they were evacuating. Something that they would have to warn the new Pokemon, should enough time pass and no more infected dwellers were alive. And it was a nightmare that was necessary to hide the process of the world and species change.

A young Eevee was foraging on the bush for Sitrus Berries, before returning to their mother, as she was being sick for some time already. The Glaceon, partway grayed, looked blankly at the berries, in no apparent appetite. When the little Eevee tried to nudge her, she attacke; and the Eevee couldn't muster a single tackle before getting pinned down and slowly clawed, fear mounting in it.

<- Are you sure this plague even exists now, Latios?

- Sheesh, Latias, we have to warn them either way, if not for them we would be in same position or worse, because Legendaries or Mythicals never starve.>

"Glacey! Glaceeey!"

The young Pokemon cried for a help, it cried for her to shake it off. But she kept going, until they finally succumbed to starvation. The shaken Eevee looked at their mother, and tried to shake her awake after barely crawling towards the place they were able to stand up. But the harm was grievous, and soon after, it has collapsed from its own wounds and passed away, after one more call of her mother's name.

You were doing your own business, whether tending to your Pokemon, sneaking in a tall grass in hopes of finding a new unknown species, battling the trainers for a living or glory, studying the origins of your world and Alola's own history or doing shadier stuff - selling Slowpoke tails or belonging to team Skull would be mildest of them all. Whatever you were doing, one dream is all it takes to shake your world view fundamentally. Whatever you were is now a memory in your head as you aren't a human any longer.

You are a Pokemon from now on.

Not only that, the world you landed in feels pristine and empty - it's a wild forest with a meadow to the north and river to the south. There are others who are waking up from the nightmare near you... and nothing else.  Just a small empty area in the forest. But is it really that empty? What secrets would it hold? And most importantly, are you and your group the only ones who were transported here?

The rules:
0. Follow the Dragon Cave Forums rules.
1. Do not write one-liners, please (unless they're particularly memorable, hah. Joking here, it isn't a video game you can talk while you have idle animations playing.) And try to stick to minimum of eight sentences.
2. The general good etiquette of roleplaying applies in here. For your information it's the following: no Mary Sues, no metagaming, no bunnying, no IRL discrimination. The characters discriminating one another is fine and an exemption to this rule.

3&4. Romance is allowed, but your characters should consider thinking of adapting to their changes first (let's say it should take about five pages with at least three paragraphs worth of text each). Speaking of which: the characters don't have the muscle memory to do anything at beginning. Learning new moves is going to take some time, more so if they're more complex. There's no TMs or any experienced Pokemon after all.
5. No Legendaries or Mythicals! They all still exist, somewhere, but they'd be more of an NPC if or when they appear.
6. Try to stick with one place for all Pokemon. Walimer, Wailord and other naval Pokemon might need separate starting location - in this case, they're allowed to pick a different awakening location.
7. No passwords! I mean, this rule is a freebie for you and a rule for me, but I won't demand that from you. But to do a filler, please don't share any! Better safe than sorry!
8. Limit of one main character per person. They're also the only ones you have to do a full sheet for. Yes, you can have multiple minor characters - friends or rivals or even strangers that share the same fate, but stick to the main character for narration.
9. You should narrate in first person. However, if your character is knocked out/fainted/asleep, third person is acceptable.
