Friend very frustrated. Cannot imagine how they feel about it. Too scared to ask. I snuck them some chocolate. The universal language. Black and white minx cat totally has me wrapped around her paw. She knows the siren dance of getting me to open a tin of tuna for her, even though its only meant to be a treat. She even darted next to my legs as I prepared it for her. It's a whole thing. *sighs* We do have a vet appointment on Tuesday to get a checkup for Daisy, since her eyes are still gross... Guess where I will be hiding out all week! ewww! wait - actual temps of 100 or over? eep! our heat index could be up to 106F! yeah, our first house didn't have AC, until we finished the second floor as our bedroom and it had a window AC unit. and then there's our 3rd floor in this house, which also has a window AC. hubby said if it comes to it, he could always work downstairs (he has a laptop), and aim the AC right on my desk (i have a desktop set-up). we'll see how it goes. good luck! I don't even want to think about heat index! oof. we have an Excessive Heat Watch that goes from Monday morning through Friday night! right now, our hottest day is friday, with a high of 96F. I'm working that day 1-5, and then I'm going to a summer solstice event at 6. i hope i have enough time to stop for the pretzels. my travel time is about 35 minutes..... with no stops and no traffic. we shall see.
