Rate My Spriting Please

I'm trying to get into spriting, I want to start my own adoptables site with beetles.
Criticism would be appreciated!

These are very cute, but they're a bit small. However, beetles themselves are small and it's your artistic choice

I definitely agree that they're cute! However, I would recommend honing in on the basic forms before getting into texture and detail (drawing something before spriting it often helps). And for a sprite, you would definitely want to choose angles and poses that would "read" well in a sprite (the middle one does this best). Thin parts like antennae and legs can be tricky at that size. You may want to make the beetles a bit bigger, and really make sure those thin shapes aren't jagged or bent strangely (The frontmost legs on the middle beetle are nicely done, the antialiasing on the right beetle's legs and antennae need some adjustment). These are a good start, for sure! A beetle adoptables site sounds like a fun idea.
