Usually some kind of pastry bowl with a filling and a pastry lid. You can put pretty much anything in; veg, fruit, fish or meat.

Yeah but it's really not popular here. We have those mince pies over Christmas but I've never eaten them.

The only sweet pie I've eaten was an apple pie.

Savory is a bit more popular. Especially chicken and beef pies
