Posted September 1, 2020 41 minutes ago, trystan said: i was thinking GUPpy Exactly. Cat take py in its bite and lo, GUP. GUS is the cat at the theatre door. His name, as I ought to have told you before, is really Asparagus, but that's such a fuss to pronounce that we usually call him just GUS. His coat's very shabby, he's thin as a rake, and he suffers from palsey which makes his paws shake... (From T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, though I sang the Cats musical version to get those ^ words!) Share this post Link to post
Posted September 1, 2020 it takes GUTs to sing the Cats musical Gus: I once crossed the stage on a telegraph wire to rescue a child when a house was on fire And I think that I still can, much better than most produce bloodcurdling noises to bring on the ghost! And I once played Growltiger... Could do it again! (yes, i looked up the lyrics, but i knew he played Growltiger!) Share this post Link to post
Posted September 1, 2020 I loved the Cats musical! I saw it in London, Sydney, Toronto, and twice in Vancouver. Growltiger was a bravo cat who traveled on a barge. In fact, he was the roughest cat that ever roamed at large... GUUd for you! Share this post Link to post
