I signed up yesterday so I’m excited to see what all I can do here. I would like to know any tips/tricks there are for newbies like me that will help get me started.

My suggestions:

 

1. Use fansites to get your dragons the views they need to hatch and grow up. Here is the list of fansites you can choose from; I use Valley Sherwood, Allure of Neglected Dragons, and Silvi's Lair. You shouldn't need to use more than three.

 

2. Don't add your dragons to fansites if they're too young, it increases the chance of them getting sick (softshell) and dying. Under normal circumstances, I add my eggs when they're at 6d15h left, but during the holidays when they see an uptick in traffic I don't add them until they're at 5d23h left.
