2024-Current Day SCORING *rises from my coffin extra dramatically* Thank you all SO much for your patience and for still thinking about, breeding for, and engaging with this lineage. It WARMS MY HEART TREMENDOUSLY. I am so sorry that I've been MIA. I am back now with a leaderboard for the past.......21 months combined. And then back to normal quarterly scoring. TheMysticFrog (67 points) Lychnis (43 points) Zonnedauw (40 points) fl_ying986 (16 points) dracornithologist (14 points) MadameM (8 points) regrets~ (3 points) So y'all earned a combined total of 191 points while I was gone, which is AMAZING!!!! IMPORTANT REMINDERS I love every member of this lineage and I appreciate all of you. That being said, I think we have missed some rules and in some cases let our quality slip a little. This is my fault, since I have been absent, but I wanted to bring attention to some issues I've noticed. Indigos are supposed to only have ONE MATE EACH. Every indigo you have should have ONE mate, who is also an indigo. This makes it easier for me when I go through and check for inbreeding and other problems. If I click on your indigo and look through their children, and they have children with multiple mates, it causes extra work for me because I have to make sure you haven't double bred a dragon (example, breeding two 2nd gens with one shared parent) OR are somehow introducing other breeds into the lineage somehow. If you have a dragon that you REAAALLY want to breed with someone other than their indigo mate, please PM me so that I'm aware! This is an even-generation lineage. Stairsteps/spirals are not able to be counted/scored within the main lineage. Just remember, only one egg per pair in the lineage! I don't think anyone has goofed on this lately, but just always be aware of it. I will be personally reaching out to some members to help with organization/tracking and breeding plans since I saw a few people talking about blood swaps and whatnot. I am also going to renew working on the Discord to make things easier for us. Thank you all again, and WELCOME to our new members!!!

Hello everyone! I wanted to make a post to let you all know that I haven't forgotten about my beloved indigos, I have just been very busy with finally graduating college, moving into a new house, and getting a new job. Happy New Year to everyone. I will work to get all of the new members added to our lists, as well as breeding my dragons to see where we're at!

You're killing it Zonnedauw, my GOODNESS! We're also going to ignore that May ended without me doing that second leaderboard, okay...shhh.... I'm here to report one CB and one 3rd gen.

Rising from my coffin to bring you... Your May Newsletter! (Part 1) I have implemented the change of scoring leaderboards based on fiscal quarters rather than doing it monthly! With that, I bring you the results from Q4 2023 (October, November, December) In first place we have @Lychnis with a whopping 23 points!!! Lychnis will win a BSA egg OR hatchling of their choice. In second place we have @Eainai with 19 points! Eainai will win a BSA egg of their choice. And in third, we have a tie between @Zonnedauw and @TheMysticFrog with 10 points each. In Q4 of 2023, the lineage earned a total of 71 points overall! Y'all absolutely KILLED it! I will work on calculating Q1 of 2024 (January, February, March) and get that out by the end of the month. In the meantime, I will HASTILY PM our top two about their prizes. I thank you again for the endless patience! As for the Indigo Clan Discord Server! I got 100% votes for YES on that, and it does exist, but I'm still working on the setup. Just know that it's in the works! Thank you all for everything you do for the clan. ❤️

Egg Report, got a new CB SEVERAL new CBs! (1, 2, 3) As another little administrative thing, I decided to make a Google Form to work on deciding how leaderboards should be dealt with, as well as allowing everyone to vote on the possibility of having a Discord server for the lineage, if anyone thinks that would make things easier. Crawling out of my hole... SO excited to see the 6th gen, that is truly incredible! We are so close to reaching 9th generation now! Also, I've seen some people on the thread talking about trading 2nd gens. This is perfectly fine! I just want to make sure everyone remembers how exactly this works since each and every CB pair can only have ONE offspring become part of the even gen. This means that, if you breed a 2nd gen and give it to someone else, you cannot use any more eggs from the parents to make further generations. This is to avoid inbreeding. Just make sure you're keeping track of which dragons you have bred and then sent the eggs away. Because of how this works, swapping 2nd gens won't make the breeding any faster. But! I think it's very fun, and sweet. You get to raise each others' babies and see your clanmates' lines on your scrolls, which I love! This is one of my favorite things about the lineage - how collaborative it is, and seeing all the lines of Indigos come together. I'm usually the only one who gets to have all your descendants on my scroll, so I love seeing all of you engage in this and share that joy. A Word on Leaderboards and Prizes: As you have all seen, I have been really struggling to keep up with some admin stuff. 💔 An idea I had for a potential solution is this: what if we scored on a quarterly basis rather than once every month? Here's what I like about this idea: Fewer prizes to dole out. This could be seen as a letdown for project members, since there would only be 4 rounds of prizes per year. The upside of this is that we would perhaps be able to pull together more exciting/quality prizes than JUST having BSA dragons. More interesting leaderboards! Since this lineage is an even-gen, it is very naturally pretty slow-paced. A lot of people have times where they take breaks (myself included), so sometimes only ONE person will score in a month. If we did quarterly leaderboards, the rankings would be based on the past three months' activity, which gives all of you more of a chance to end up on the leaderboard and push for that top spot if you have the desire. MORE CONSISTENCY. This update would change my workload a lot, which would help me keep up with the lineage better. Going from 12 scoreboards/prizes to 4 would be something I could commit to much more easily. Please let me know what you all think of this proposal - the experience for YOU, my beloved clanmates, is always my top priority. I want everyone to have fun and feel satisfied here! Hey everyone! Just as an update, the reason I have been MIA is because school is once again kicking my butt a little. I graduate this May so then I will never have to worry about school again, huzzah! Whenever I have more free time I will track everyone’s scores, get a prize list going, etc. Just wanted to let everyone know that the lineage hasn’t been abandoned, I am just very busy! OFFICIAL November Newsletter Here is your official, semi-regularly-scheduled update. For the months of July AND August, TheMysticFrog won the leaderboards! She won a total of 13 points during those two months, and she has decided to not take any prizes. Igloo won 8 points in July as well. During October, Eainai was the only one to score and therefore the winner, with a score of 12 points. I will PM them about their prize! I will again state: For those of you who were listed as leaderboard winners for previous months, PM me or post here if you want your prizes from those months. If not, I will assume you do not want them. Please let me know by the end of the year!

Not-Very-Official Newsletter! Hey everyone! I wanted to post here to say that @Eainai has been added to the list of members! Huzzah! On another note, I'm sorry to all my beloved snake friends that I haven't been keeping up well with updating the thread! I will ABSOLUTELY be adding up everyone's posts but am still having somewhat of a mental struggle with handling leaderboard prizes. If anyone has any interest in contributing prizes, please let me know! I have had a lot of IRL stuff going on in the past few months, including the death of a family member (I'm doing okay, don't worry!!) and the usual college struggles. These circumstances always cause me to get behind specifically with the leaderboard prizes! If anyone has any suggestions on how we as a group could best handle that problem, please let me know. As it stands, I will do my best to add up the scores and make the leaderboards for the months I missed by the end of this week. I know that Halloween breeding season is coming soon, so I hope everyone has a fun time with that, and I know most of us won't be focusing on Nhios much through the holidays~ But I still have hope in my little slithery heart that we can get to Gen 9 in 2023!!!! Let's do it!

July Newsletter How is the year half over already?! I apologize for my extended absence! After my spring semester ended, I had a lot going on. I was still getting used to suddenly being a bird owner, had to find a new job, and then was very consumed by that new job for a while. But I'm back, with 3 months of updates!
