  1. I am ever so slightly pissed. I spent too much time making this and did not notice the passing of the clock. As I thought, the damn thing saved incomplete. I wasted 3 hours I desperately could not afford to waste. At least I got a screenshot, but that is of very little consolation to me now. *fumes*
  2. I, too, add my name to this growing list of absolute deletion of all progress made. I hit level 50, was ready to start finally having fun making some neat stuff, and now, upon coming back to the event after eating dinner, find I am at level 4. This is, understandably, infuriating.
  3. I have a deep sea dragon. It's code, fittingly, is DEEP. https://dragcave.net/view/DEEP I like to think this dragon is actually one of the most brilliant philosophers of our time, yet is thwarted by a lack of thumbs and waterproof paper to publish any of her philosophical theory.
  4. I saw a little tree. I've been here since 2005 and this is the first time I've ever seen a little freaking tree. Got so panicked, I hit the pink egg next to it. (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻
  5. Please immediately call a helpline or utilize this counseling texting service. There are options out there to help you, okay? <3
  6. Thank you both CellyBean and Sock! I will carefully compose a thread there. I will certainly let a mod know when the... displeasure inevitably arises. I've been on DC for a very long time and went dark posting on the forums after a year due to... let's call it 'extremely limited discourse.' Thank you again!
  7. So, I really don't want anyone taking umbrage with my question here. Just know that I'm not trying to prune anyones roses or bring up a groan-worthy topic. I feel I'm putting myself at extreme risk by asking this question. My intent is not to offend or irritate. I want that to be know to all. *sigh* Where would it be appropriate to create a thread suggesting a summer holiday breed? No event, just a breed for a holiday I believe everyone around the world could respect. I *believe*. BY no means am I certain. *cringes before the rage hits* (I apologize for my broken links, I had to do a factory reset on my computer)
  8. While all the artwork that goes into DC is above reproach, I have to say I'm in love with this year's Halloween banner in the ToT section. I mean... whoa. So much detail! The jack o lanterns, the castle, the trees, the sheer atmosphere oozing from it! I haven't seen the dragons yet, but I know that banner is at the top of my 'favorite artworks for this event' list. It must have taken ages to get that subtle shading. Beautifully done and highest of admiration to the artistic genius that made it! EDIT: Munin is the artist and they should be given much Halloween loot. I just found the credits.
  9. I noticed the same thing. Really too me by surprise. Unless a ton of cures were submitted all at once? Something is off.
  10. Aww cmon, guys.... the dragons won't be harmed and we only have the one chance to see them all zombiefied. For someone who doesn't have the means to get a zombie dragon, I kinda wanna see what will happen. Go team spread~ On another note, I just got one of those games where I pressed one button and won the game. Minesweeper, you so silly~
  11. I want to take a moment to mention some of the trick or treat goodies. To whoever made Ruby -- I love you. To whoever made the incredibly large and realistic spider, forcing me to squirm and squeal for ten minutes before grabbing it because I'm on a mobile device and have a crippling fear of spiders -- thank you for putting the scary into this event and what is wrong with you, you evil genius? I think my favorite one so far is the leetle tuxedo kitty. it's so cute with those Itty bitty squishy jellybean toes! Well done to all spriters! Also, the Greek in me loved the jack o lantern eggplant.
  12. I uh... I got stuck in the reindeer quest. Accidentally hit clipping I guess. I cannot move anywhere, my sprite just stands in place, little feet going like a jack rabbi.
  13. Yep, I've been getting that as well. It cannot be duplicates, because I just tried to click something -- looked like a very pale blue frond of some kind -- and I haven't seen it before. This is the second time it's happened to me, the first being with the little glowflies thingies. (Which I had already clicked once before.) Also, it isn't caused by cookies or cache, as I cleared both and tried it again and it still came up with the error.
  14. Mmmm, yogurt. Yes, I do enjoy it. I'm a particular fan of Oikos Greek yogurt, especially the Triple Zero. Lots of protein, tasty delicious, and no added sugar -- I only wish it came in Apple Pie flavor! The local grocery store has a hard time keeping it all in stock. I admit, I look forward to having some every morning. Whenever I see someone going after my yogurt, I tend to make stabby motions with my spoon at them. They back off real quick. An additional piece of heaven is dumping in a 1/3 cup of granola into it. WORTH DYING FOR.
  15. Nearly got all the eggs, and I must say, the spriters have truly outdone themselves this year. The DC Festival of Eggs gives new meaning to the phrase 'treasure hunt' -- for truly, each egg is a new treasure to admire and enjoy. I can't even pick out a single favorite one. However, I feel I must give some homage to the lesser-spoken-of eggs -- not that they are not as good as any others, but perhaps because they don't reference something specific. I truly do admire the pearl one (brilliant shading!) and the dark egg that reminds me of a black opal. I love the subtle play of colors in that one! The multicolored tie-dye one that is, so far, at the bottom of the screen is also gorgeous! It truly does look like an egg that was smeared with lots of dyes and, since egg-dying is somewhat hazardous in my house with a cat that WILL NOT stay off the counter, is one that is very familiar to me. I also truly enjoy the very first egg I caught -- a mostly bright-blue egg covered in what looks like gold filigree. Just beautiful. The starry-night one, the purple one with red flowers, and the rose egg are also lovely. The orange zebra-stripe one is so much fun, I just want to nom it! And there's another I keep call the 'jupiter egg' because it kinda looks like the stripes/bands of Jupiter the more you look at it... Gah... I could go through all of them at this rate. Suffice it to say, they are all beautiful and I can now do nothing but applaud the artists. ...until someone throws a tomato at me and tells me to sit down. Then I shall. But until then, a standing ovation!
  16. ....Anyone else NOT able to catch anything because most of the darn things drop in the Jungle? T_T Seriously, I've been at this for hours and I haven't gotten one. *le sigh*
  17. Welp my shiny Gold lad attracted quite a looker! A grave dragon! I must say, the colorful patterning of this (truly gorgeous and freaking beautiful) dragon actually match my Gold quite well, I think. It's a strangely beautiful, if slightly homicidal, pairing. I am content.
  18. with English lyrics. It's an addicting song. O_O
  19. A truly momentous thing has happened this day. On April 30th, a 1:55 EST, after almost 3 years of non-stop attempts, I have successfully summoned a guardian of nature egg. CAN I GET A HALLELUJAH!?
  20. Welp. It's apparently down. Page won't load. Everyone else or just me?
  21. Dragon Dump is always my go-to place for my little dragons. It has never failed me! But today, it says my scroll name doesn't exist! I'm not sure if this is a DC glitch or a Dragon Dump glitch, but I thought I should appraise folks of it anyway. This happen to anyone else?
  22. Hahaha, I've got so many good ones! LOVE IT! On a dragon flower, of course! THANK YOU SO MUCH~ To which I sent back, "Little Johnny took a drink, he shall drink no more; for what he thought was H2O was H2SO4!" And the reply was: No question, xeyla won that one! I've never heard that poem before! I sent, "It was me. I let the dogs out." And: ME: Ask not for whom the dog barks. It barks for thee. And I got nothing to reply lol! Now to send out more random video game quotes!
  23. If I could only grow green stuff in my garden like I can in my refrigerator! I laughed pretty good at that!
  24. Roses are red; they bloom when it's sunny. I shouldn't write poetry because I'm not funny. -From Dirtytabs It's covered in BEES! Just kidding. Happy Valentine's Day! <3 -From xizix Thank you so much for the flowers and the lulz!
  25. Well, I haven't recieved any clever or witty messages, (sadly, I've only 2 random gifts) but I have been sending out some of the weirder ones. I think my favorite one I sent out so far was: "Potatoes have skin. I have skin. Therefore, I am a potato." And: "Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese." -- G.K. Chesterton EDIT: HAhahahaha, okay I just gotta say Erica8798 and djengis you guys totally made my day! Erica, you is the top dragon in my book just for that wonderful valentine's message! Here is what Erica8798 sent: "So how are you holding up? BECAUSE I'M A POTATO." I'm laughing so hard, there are TEARS. 8D
