The Nuregami egg is the absolute best. I never would have expected an Okami reference.

The problem with this argument is that it assumes most players are interested in all features. This is not the case. I and many others are not the least bit interested in things like lineages, which are the only other main attraction around here. For us, the main appeal to DC is the dragon collection alone. For those of us who have been using the site for long enough, and aren't those rare army builders, the only reason to keep coming here is to get new dragons. If suddenly there were no new dragon releases or less dragon releases, people like me would stop coming here as often and eventually would just stop coming at all.

I can't believe it, I almost missed this dragon despite checking in every day for the event. Now that's absentmindedness, but at least I DID remember and picked mine up. Close call though.

Anyone else getting an error when they try to play?

Update seems fine to me, nothing too different this time unlike the Nilla.

I feel like that's an unavoidable issue if you're collecting them en masse, which is why I hold the view that organizing this sort of thing is pretty unfair to the people trying to get them from the cave.

I think they're very interesting. I get the skeletal cervine vibe that's probably intentional, but also a bit of a demonic one. They're nothing like a traditional red demon, true, but I've seen plenty of skeletal/skull-headed demons in more creative depictions, and these really fit that bill. Overall a very nice dragon.

The hatchling isn't what I expected (I thought it'd be a skeletal fetus-y thing because of the symbol on the egg), but it's still very pretty. Black (or a very dark brown) and gold is a good color scheme, and extra eyes are one of my favorite monster aesthetics.

Someone, I think it was TCA, said that it's supposed to look like that on purpose. It's a corrupted version of her old Pyralspite avatar.

I don't like the new Nilias. The female in particular is far too snakelike, it's a lot uglier than the old one. They're weird little flying snakes now, with overly-long necks that bend at an odd angle. Edit: I guess it's only fair to give an opinion on the other 2. For the Holly, I liked the old wings, they felt kinda like crinkled wrapping paper. Overall though, I don't mind it too much. Weird old sprite before, weird old sprite now with better head placement. For the Horse, it's not a bad sprite and the female still has the old look, but I hate horses for personal reasons so I'm pretty neutral on the dragon from the start.

The issue is the general forum attitude, not really this specific case but a trend on this website, of all negative opinions being attacked and treated as unwelcome. I haven't really expressed any feelings towards this (outside of what isn't happening) as I haven't seen them, but the people who are more strongly against it have the right to their opinion as much as the people who are in favor of it. People have an unfortunate habit of trying to drown out any sort of negative feelings, to get those people to stop talking and to push the idea that everyone feels as they do. However, preventing people from having any kind of vent just leads to a more explosive result later on, when those who are unhappy get fed up with being shushed.

So we aren't getting any regular new dragons until March. A mostly empty six months. What a waste of time.

Finally got all mine. Glad that this release is finally over, and good riddens at that. It's stretched on so long I'm just sick of these.

Maybe I just have bad luck with holidays. The killer for me is always lag, more than my internet or clicking speed which are decent enough. I'm getting a lot more lag than usual this round.

A recolored alt is really no replacement for a real release, especially not when the next non-holiday dragon we'll get is in distant March. On top of that, this long, long release cycle has made me do nothing else but collect this dragon. However, since I already long ago got the amount I needed of everything but the silvers, that just means that I've been doing nothing since the blues came out. I have used the site far less than normal because I don't want to have any eggs to abandon whenever the silvers come about. This was a poorly planned release, honestly.

Considering the others are demonstrably staggered by four days, that wouldn't be the case. There is nothing fun about missing a release or about not being able to do anything else with your scroll because you're waiting for an alt to drop. It's simply tedious.

If it was to take so long to get the silvers, then we should have started on the silvers and not the golds. That would have solved the time issue.

Oh believe me, I know not to direct my ire at you for this. TJ bares sole blame for making us wait this ridiculous length of time for them.

I mostly meant that to be rhetorical. It's a pointless waste of time either way, to force us to wait so long to finally get this over with. The theory I saw earlier would put the Silvers at the 21st which is a completely unacceptable gap.

So why don't we have Silvers, again? I want this to be over instead of being forced into an entire month where I can't do anything else.
