  1. Just last as long as you can. The zombie difficulty increases periodically too. Round 199 is my new record! I had two bolt dragons right at my tower, two soulpeace one to each side. Then whites wrapped around that and green earth dragons all around them. My whole left side is still intact but only the soulpeace remains on the right.
  2. "The power of your Ice, Magma, and Thunder dragons summons a Guardian of Nature." I did not know this was possible?
  3. After you click survive you wait. Every five minutes the site calculates what happens and you advance a round. From your description... After you select Survive are you hitting Start Over? You just need to let it sit five minutes.
  4. You can't win, the zombies will keep coming indefinitely. The point is to last as long as you can, get the xp for that run, and then try to last even longer with your new dragons and quantity limits.
  5. Count the rows. There's six eggs per row. So, for example - to be done you'll need 10 rows plus 2 extra (6 x 10 + 2 = 62).
  6. Me, too! My favorite so far is the about-to-pounce cat, though... 31! Halfway there.
  7. I'm in the same boat with this one... I absolutely love that we have more Eastern Dragons! But oh my goodness that Plated Colossus...
  8. I think the beard is cool, honestly. I just wanted to make sure that's what it's intended to be. And thank you, Earth Gurl. While I'm not a Pokemon fan, I love the sound of that name with these guys, and so with that as a starting point, and some minor modifications, I now know the "family name" I'm using for my Plated Colossi collection. Presenting the female of the bunch: Bearded Lady Snarloxx
  9. Hooray! All of my first batch hatched. My only gemshard egg hatched blue, in case anyone is still tracking. I'm convinced they're random, though. I picked up two more gemshards, and am hoping for a red and green, but we'll see. I got a 2nd pair of the plated, too, so I'll have two breeding sets of those. They're cool-looking. I don't have a breeding plan for them yet, but I'm brainstorming, because I have to do at least a little one. Body-shape-wise, they go well with Desipis I think? So I may have to make some concessions in my Desipis x Cassare breeding plans... Although on the females... Are those beards? Or do they wear their back frills like this? (Because that picture is what I keep seeing, but I think it's a beard - which is awesome - too bad the name "Bearded Lady" is already taken!) The Striped River dragons are too blue-ish for what I had been hoping. Still very awesome dragons! And yay, EASTERN DRAGONS! We need more of those. (I almost typed "Easter" there... ) But I do have to think up another breeding project for them (they DEFINITELY need a project on my scroll), because there's not enough color contrast between them and the other dragons I picked the project I was hoping they could be part of. Fortunately the Gemshards are ALSO Eastern dragons, and I've got red or bright green to choose from, so assuming I can collect enough CBs I'm thinking I'll use them instead in my original plan? Hopefully they're not rare. I'm also wondering how they breed - if they're true to their color outside of the cave, or always random like the Nebulas. They may actually be an answer to another dilemma I was having... Maybe. But also a potential headache to get the right color. I am very happy about this release! We got some very awesome dragons this week. And my post has turned into rambling (so you can tell how excited I am!) so I'll stop now.
  10. Patiently waiting for mine to hatch - it won't happen until tomorrow, as I didn't pick any up until yesterday. Hopefully they'll still be dropping fairly well on Tuesday. Of all the sprites so far, I think the ungendered hatchling of the plated-egg one is my favorite. They're just so cute AND formidable, all at once. I have particularly high hopes for the Condensation adults. I've got an idea of what to do with them, if they turn out how I'm hoping. We'll see. I am really liking this release so far.
  11. I can't see them on the "Currently Being Released" page, but I can see the files in the "recently uploaded" list, so it's not the images that are being blocked for me. In case that helps anyone.
  12. I switched to the green until I'm done with my sorting and such. It's even faster than the old default! So that's a plus for me... I'd use it more often if I liked the color scheme. It's quick to respond, no lag, and even faster to load and scroll my sort pages than the old default had been.
  13. As I feared, scrolling for the custom sort I use is VERY laggy. I sorted about five dragons today, but it's too slow for me to do any others. Everything else works great, and I love the new background and layout, except for the effect it has on sorting. I guess I have to change skins whenever I'm going to sort for now? Hopefully the lag in this portion can be corrected at some point, so I can keep this beautiful new update all the time...
  14. I love the font too! I've always liked that one (although I can't for the life of me remember its name right now).
  15. I think the site looks really pretty. Regarding the lineage view, I think the issue is a matter of scale. It does look a bit odd when viewing a CB or 2nd gen, but his lineage really shines on the new format, so overall I think it's a good thing. I think the clock will be useful, even though it needs to be refreshed. The main purpose is to help users adjust to DC-time, after all, and that doesn't require the same time precision as a Neglected Dragon experiment would. I'm in the same timezone as DC, and I still see the value of it. That said... I absolutely agree about the loading times in the cave and AP. That may be an issue for me down the road, especially during a new release. I also agree that a delay in loading will make it harder to catch rares - but this doesn't impact me as much since I already can't catch them! I'm hoping the issues with load times go down eventually... The pages I use frequently load faster for me, although that's due to my cache updating to the new layout, and with the hard-refresh requirements for cave hunting I'm not sure that re-caching will help in that situation. Time will tell.
  16. Fairly certain it's final! I haven't seen anyone posting about their dragon changing, in spite of changes made to the cave, thoughout the entire day. The Desepis in my guy's cave has been there all day, as well.
  17. I was guessing it's because it's showing OVERALL quantities? Meaning if your cave was 100% magic, the magic bar would be full but nothing else? So the only way to max out all the bars would be to have nothing in the cave. Because pulling things out from one category, I have noticed other category bars going UP while the one went down.
  18. Happened to me. (The more macho bit, I mean. ) I had to breed them for the occasion. I think it was a fun event. That said, if I had known that the final mate would be completely random, I would have taken a different approach to decorating my cave and just gone with the way I wanted it to look, rather than figuring out where to hide more meat! Since the mate is set now, I have slowly been removing items from my cave, and then hopefully I will have time to decorate it the way I want it to look before it ends tonight. (I really wish there was a "RESET" button!)
  19. Now I'm wishing I had checked to see if I could include Ambrose...
  20. You can decorate to your heart's content until midnight today, DragCave time.
  21. I don't think it even influenced the random generator, though. I had one magical item, and I have a Desipis even though they were insisting on mana collections in the prior days. So I don't think it mattered at all what your decorations were. (I'm not complaining about the Desipis, btw. Not was I was going for, but they're cool-looking dragons. I was merely surprised, since the text said the placed items made a difference, but my results show that they actually didn't. Or at least, they don't correlate to the results of the prior days...)
  22. Male gold and female brimstone do go well together, though, symmetry-wise?
  23. Judging by the way things have worked in the past, I think this just means that you have all day to decorate before it's locked permanently as it is.
  24. Hmm... Talk about "opposites attract"... Graceful Dan has attracted an admirer: a desipis dragon! But I can confirm that all the rearranging to try to attract different breeds was pointless. Desipis' primary is MANA but the only "magic" item I have is a single necklace...
  25. From TJ's quote on the front, I'm inclined to think that where they are currently showing is where they will be showing later? I could be wrong, of course, but that's how I read it.
