  1. In my opinion it is irresponsible that they won't close down schools. I'm a teacher and seeing 500 kids everyday who are still kids and forget that they're supposed to keep a distance. They also don't understand why it's okay for them to come to school squeezed together on public transport or why it's okay for them to sit close together in class but they aren't allowed to play. And I can't blame them. I know that parents need to work and that schools are free childcare but they could at least switch the older ones, who can stay home alone, to remote schooling. I'm more than happy to support that even if it means doing double the work!
  2. You're a star, thank you! ❀️
  3. I've made an offer, it would be awesome to gift it to giftee. If you want I can pm you their wishlist so you know I don't want to steal it for myself. πŸ˜„
  4. Definitely a good thing but also one that will have no consequences at all on his actual policies. It's a thing practically designed to make a politician look good.
  5. The desert one looks very cuddly but I have a feeling the grown up version won't be... πŸ˜„ Thanks for the new release, I'll take them whenever they come!

I also have CB everything (no Prize, no SA obviously). Catching abilities: I definitely can't catch metals. The rest depends mostly on whether I see them regularly enough to try because I have extremely limited time to cave hunt. When I do see things I can often catch them though, eg I caught a handful of Omens this Halloween. Trading abilities: I'm always willing to pay large numbers of hatchies/hatch alts etc. but I can't breed anything truly special as trade fodder. Teleport abilities: I'll be fine, thank you. ☺️ Also thank you mods for bring Secret Santa back!! πŸ’šβ€οΈ
  7. I still resent the notion that something is only lovable if it is perfect/meets a certain standard. To this day, the single one update that I feel actually made me like a dragon more, is the Hollies. That doesn't mean I don't recognize when a dragon has become "better", I just never needed or wanted that. If an artist wants to change their work that's their prerogative but I've never felt they weren't "good enough". It's not like we ban all medieval art from museums just because they hadn't yet learned to draw in perspective properly. It's not about that.
  8. I haven't read through this thread but I think the OP sounds very reasonable. And if not - just get rid of the freeze limit again so we can go back to freezing and releasing.
  9. I really love the female pose!
  10. Coming from a mod this honestly isn't a helpful answer. A lot of people have confirmed that in fact it doesn't work for them and that the checkmark doesn't react. I just tried it out on iOS 13 because I wanted to see for myself and it doesn't work at all. I get that maybe things can't be fixed quickly or that the problem can't be located but making it sound like there is no issue really doesn't help. In other news - I've collected all the treats! As per usual the references are utterly lost on me but I still enjoy them a lot, thanks spriters. πŸ€— I've also unlocked all dragons in the game and I think I'll leave it at that, thanks for the fun game πŸ’•
  11. Some very cute treats so far, thank you and congrats to everyone whose treat made it into the event! The little dragon statues in the game also look great, I'm very fond of the pebble.
  12. I agree with Olympe. I remember plenty of mistakes I've made but I don't remember a single time the pop-up stopped me from making one.
  13. Congratulations! ☺️πŸ₯¦ And thank you for all of these raffles, Feesh!
  14. Well, yes? I did say confirming it twice, not entering it twice? And counting clicks/steps was the point of my first post? I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, maybe confirming doesn't mean what I thought it means. Reading the other responses again and only really registering this now: yes, I'd love an AP link at the top!
  15. I hit enter and then have to confirm the pop-up that asks me if I really want to do that, too. I know workarounds like disabling javascript but I feel that it shouldn't be my responsibility to know them. Thinking more about this over the past couple of days, I would love if clicking an egg took us to its lineage page directly. If you miss the egg you would get the normal message you get now. In an ideal world, there would be a "keep" and a "discard" button at the top, the latter one taking you back to the AP (though I'm not sure where the "keep" button should take you?). But I would certainly be very happy with only being taken to the lineage page directly. The whole password business - I get why people are reluctant and I get why people might forget. But maybe we could switch on an "AP hunting mode" or something where we explicitly disable that? With a little pop-up that reminds us what that entails?
  16. I rarely hunt in the AP and it's not because I dislike the eggs there but because it is such a hassle. 1. you click the egg, it takes you to its get-code-page - for which you have no use right now 2. you click the egg again, it takes you to its view page - which you're not interested in right now either 3. you click the lineage link - and finally get to the page you actually wanted to see If you want to keep the egg that's fine now, with two clicks you're back in the AP. But if you don't want to keep it, it gets annoying again now. 1. you hit the back button 2. you hit the Actions button 3. you hit the Abandon button 4. you click the bit where you type in your password 5. you type in your password 6. you confirm it 7. you confirm it again 8. you hit the Back to dragons button - which is probably not where you want to go since you abandoned the egg and are likely to continue AP hunting 9. You click the Cave button 10. You click the AP button All of that just to have a quick look at the lineage of an egg. I'm not dead set on how or where to streamline the process, maybe we can discuss that here, but right now it seems excessive to me. I don't know about these things but I assume more clicks and therefore more ads that are displayed are an advantage for TJ, but I'd argue that the clumsiness of AP hunting tends to put people off altogether (it does me); but even if it doesn't people have still got the same amount of time to spend on DC and will accordingly generate the same amount of clicks, just doing different things.
  17. You do spoil us, Feesh, thank you for the chance! πŸ₯¦πŸ₯¦
  18. The winter is upon us so it's very important to eat your greens. πŸ˜„ Thank you, Feesh, for the opportunity and good luck to everyone!
  19. I'm now at the "I know clicking TJ's hatchies won't make them grow up any faster but I still check them every couple of hours"-stage. πŸ˜«πŸ˜‚ I'm very fond of the color schemes. πŸ’•
  20. Happy DC anniversary, Feesh! πŸ₯¦πŸΎ My 10-year DC anniversary was in January, it's funny how this site keeps ones attention. I entered, broccolis crossed!
  21. I'm not going to argue with that. It does reflect on their manners as well.
  22. But this is what I'm saying. The artists shouldn't take this to heart. They do great work and make great sprites. But even if a sprite is good, it is just impossible to match everyone's taste. And when people go "eeeeh do not like" that is no reflection on the artist's work but on the taste of the person who comments. For example, I personally like big sprites, with very clear, clean details. Like the Aqualis for example. Playful, detailed sprites do nothing for me. That doesn't mean they are badly done or have no place on DC.
  23. I don't get why people aren't allowed to say they dislike something. Real human people work on books, on films, on paintings... and people are allowed to discuss them freely. And this whole conversation about constructive criticism. Sometimes people don't want to criticize, they might not think it is bad and warrants criticism, they just don't like it. And yea, lately dragon releases that I enjoy have been few and far between but I've tried to concentrate on one aspect that I do like or not say anything at all. Which is probably diplomatic but also doesn't give my real opinion in case TJ was interested in our opinions when he decides what to release next.
  24. If you ask me, I would want to get rid of ANY sort of confirming action thing. Over Halloween I abandoned a new Halloween hatchie despite entering my password and confirming the pop-up instead of removing the name. So clearly it does nothing for me but cost me time and nerves and I wish I could switch it off. Especially during AP hunting when I toss a lot of eggs back.
