Well... in recent years there's been a biome specifically for some people to snag the CB versions of past holiday eggs. I'd love an opportunity at some point to gather eggs from past Festivals in a similar fashion. Maybe have the past years' eggs drop for the three days prior with the current years' festival starting at midnight on Easter as usual. Just a thought!

Sadness. I received the "You are already at the breed limit for this type of dragon" message when clicking on a Holly. I have no CB Hollys. I do have bred hollys. Is something glitchy and I missed my chance because of it?

I try not to get too bent out of shape about the releases. I'm in the military, so usually I'm halfway around the world on some internet-deprived base (unless it's an Air Force Base; Air Force has the best electronics, hands-down) or on Orders somewhere, which usually means outside with no internet. So I've missed most of the awesome releases-- missed Xenowyrms completely. I'm only now kind of starting to catch up on those. This most recent one I was on Orders for, but I got home early enough to grab mine. A thing to note: I missed the release of the Tri-Horn Wyverns. Completely. When I got back, they were so difficult for me to pick up in the Cave that I was trading 2nd Gen Metallic eggs and all sorts of crazy stuff for them. Now they're super common. So my point is: if these new ones aren't Rare, even if they're difficult to find now, that'll ease up and there will be more soon. It's just that they're new and the numbers need to normalize.

Thank you so much, TJ! Was able to catch a few even while remote. Love the codes on your hatchies-- continue to be safe, and safety and health to you and yours!

Thank you. Even though I am not in one of the states immediately affected by Hurricane Sandy, my military unit is activating to deal with the disaster so I'll be pretty far away from a computer. The last thing I'm thinking about is Halloween Eggs. (Ok, I admit, I'll think about it in the down moments)

I figure that the voting will hold true for the laws of averages-- with each tree already having received 120+ votes in only a few days, I imagine that it'll work out with regards to ratings. I too tend to rate on the low end of things-- I've given out one 10. Then again, I am probably looking at this all wrong-- I review portfolios prior to their submission to various art schools. Also: I tend to rate higher when I see that some of the "extra" ornaments are arranged nicely at the base of the tree, which shows that the person considered the boxes and gifts as part of their design. 1 - Blank Tree 2 - Katamari-tree-- where EVERYTHING is rammed on there with no rhyme or reason 3 - Lazy. Either one or two random balls or some stuff plopped on thoughtlessly. Suck-up trees. 4 - Lots of stuff/too many tree toppers that don't support the design/I suspect there's a picture there but darned if I can figure out what it is. 5 - An average tree. Pretty, but not necessarily spectacular. I can see they put in some effort. 6 - Interesting arrangement of ornaments/nice color choices/attempt at a theme, pretty. 7 - Very nice arrangement that manages to remember that the tree is part of the design, floaters are arranged in a way that makes sense, I can clearly see the design intent. 8 - Color theme is dead-on with regards to placement. Balanced, well-considered tree that succeeds in communicating an idea, whether it's color-scheme, a cute design or an interesting decorating scheme. 9 - Very nearly perfect in communicating an idea, design, or overall well-balanced in the case of "traditional" decorations. "Images" rendered in ornaments are clear, well-executed, impressive, or flat-out cute. 10 - Perfectly executed, well-balanced, visually stunning. I wish I had thought to do this!

These are just gorgeous... all of us have had a wonderful time collecting them-- my favorite is this one: I do have a question for the spriters: why are there different colored baskets? I don't think this has anything to do with the number of eggs (though, the basket image DOES change as you get more of them) but it's something I noticed.
