  1. New stuff! This creepy-looking egg looks distinctly like bone. Forest. Four egg sprites = either... One dimorphic hatchling sprite and one dimorphic adult sprite One non-dimorphic hatchling and one non-dimorphic adult sprite with three alts Biteable = standard breed, not a two-headed. This tiny egg glints in the moonlight. Desert, Alpine. Coloration appears to be based on the moon phases. Two sets of two egg sprites = one non-dimorphic hatchling sprite and one non-dimorphic adult sprite per color. Remember that release floods typically last 16 hours. If you find yourself missing or forgetting the refreshes, stay on top of them with the Shuffle Clock.
  2. Good news: you're already two thirds of the way there. There are 373 unique breeds and your unique breed counter reads 235. There isn't a "right" way to address unique breed collecting because, especially because new breeds release pretty relatively slowly, it's ultimately a matter of time until you inevitably stumble onto them all (not to mention there's really no game-given reward to do so, nor penalty for not doing so). You can scattershot for breeds you feel you haven't seen or sit down to make a comprehensive list/spreadsheet, neither are really more "good" than the other as it's all up to your taste and behavior. DC collecting is ultimately self-paced an flexible, the heart of it is doing whatever makes you spark joy.

  4. For everyone's information, a breed will not show up in the Hub dropdown if its egg is not unlocked in the encyclopedia. That's why Cruellinet does not have it visible in their dropdown, and why using the drop down menu is not a solution. The Encyclopedia Helpers thread itself - not the spreadsheet - is still a good avenue of finding eggs because people can post their eggs and hatchlings in response to you posting that you need them.

  6. Breed limits are displayed for Holiday breeds when they're in-season and their Holiday biome exists to catch CBs from. During the Xmas week, your Xmas limits are presented, and during Valentines' week, your Valentines' limits will be presented.
  7. I hear Papers like folks who are mindful of their paper usage. :3 I don't have a crosshair on Papers (or any particular unbreedable) in particular. I just kind of live in the biomes at this point. After some time you don't really read descriptions, you recognize key words in specific spots and your reflex does the rest. There's a great time of the year and it's the middle/beginning of a holiday week when plenty of folks are quite full to bother with the regular biomes. (Somewhat the same principle for regular NRs.) But my honest answer would be regardless of anything, try at all times of the day and all days of the year that you can.
  8. Happy to pair any of my dragons in these groups to breed 3G sAltkins, Thuweds, or saltweds for your giftee only. 2g Thuweds 2G sAltkin Ping me here or PM me with a pair request if you'd like one for your giftee. 9. It does.
  10. No. Lindwyrms and Wyrms are distinct bodytypes. https://dragcave.net/dragonopedia/creatures
  11. This may be referring to the Hatchling Dressup store as that's the only other place in the Event Hub where candy can be spent.
  12. Many reasons; in most cases of dupe swapping it's for a different code, different biome, higher time left until death, etc. If the "Wants" message doesn't state the specific reason, it can be vague and confusing, but those reasons are most commonly why.
  13. As of October 2 all subforums other than News are no longer visible to those signed out. According to mod statement, it's a recent measure on account of bot scraping:
  14. Check out that small blurb when you add your code: Dragon Cave limits views to 15x its unique views. If the dragon was already at 15 times UV for its OV, it will not gain more. FART also has a feature to block views for a dragon, toggled by a checkbox next to the dragon, though that has its obvious "Views are turned off for some dragons" message.
  15. Guessing this means you're using Allure's auto refresher - switch over to FART. It is leagues faster than the rest. Turning relies on refreshes done within the final minute, and the more refreshes done faster = the more turn "chances" your egg can take = the more likely your egg gets to turn. Also because turning is based on refreshing, not view count, don't worry about view count unless your method concerns hatching - trying to get something you preloaded to not hatch early, or to hatch right after turning. The "1.2k views figure" you're bringing up actually has very little to do with whether the egg will or will not turn. Again, what matters is refresh speed - that is why FART is key. Give this whole guide a read (it's short, I promise!) if it gives you a clearer idea of the procedure and anything better to try out.
  16. Neglecting is a careful procedure that relies on precision and the "15-1 minute" figure you've given here suggests an imprecise understanding of the procedure - Neglecting happens within the final minute of life, not any sooner before, and certainly not 15 minutes. Understandably, Neglecting is complicated and easy to misunderstand. We can help narrow down whats going on; which method from which guide are you using, and which autorefresher are you using?
  17. Arguably it's a plus for the transformation phase - something that is temporary and takes a while to wait for - to be timezone-friendly, in covering the full 24 hours each day. Sonata/Herald spawning is also already timezone agnostic despite being entirely moon themed.
  18. In case nobody's mentioned it yet - their schedule is just like that of the indigo Lunar Herald, no extra maths needed. Every 24 days we get an 8-day transformation phase. Which makes sense in lore too, since their flavor text mentions influence by Cirion's blue light, and Lunar Heralds are influenced by moonlight, with Indigo coming from Cirion's prevalence.
  19. You can confirm with this calendar site. It would actually be the 21st to 25th (DCT) (Obligatory note that moon phases change at 8:00PM DCT, so on the 21st you're not going to see silver Sonatas drop until then.)
  20. Hatcheries are not strong enough to be lethal to hatchlings, because the active DC userbase is not very large for a high enough view count in a short enough period of time. You'll need to think outside the hatchery, so to speak; in my mass zombie streaks I have an alternate strategy involving Flight Rising announcement threads, since Flight Rising has a significantly larger userbase and I happen to have an account there. Outside of that, hatchlings are prone to sickness death when filled with views early and then Earthquaked. You can create a group and in the group search, use the tag "#undeaddragon" to see and add all of your undead. No. Hatchlings need that one "final view" when they're eligible to grow, to trigger that growth.
  21. Updated my post with comprehensive Curse info.
  22. Observation: it appears you can only do this to stage 1 hatchlings, not gendered hatchlings, which are "not hatchlings". Unless something else is the distinction here, but that's the most likely one.
  23. 8:00PM DCT is the proper time for moon phases to switch (as observed with Sonatas) Now, the moons are waxing crescent and waning gibbous - becoming the "one full, one empty" clause mentioned on the Moonblight description, but whether that is too early a set of phases for transformation to begin... shrug! We'll see what gets fixed and what stays.
  24. Waow!
