  1. I just found out about the new eggs, too. It took me more than one drop, but it was less than 15 minutes before I was able to get 2 of each, and a delicately patterned mis-click. Thanks to Odeen, JOTB, and Marrionetta for the new dragons.
  2. The regular eggs I was waiting for hatched. I was able to pick up 3 new eggs in just one 5-minute drop. I got 2 from Forest and Jungle, then went to Desert and saw all 3 were delicately patterned. Got one, and egg-locked myself. So, more than 53 hours into the release, and they're still dropping nicely. Still have 2+ hours to go until my next batch hatches, and I can try to grab some more.
  3. Thanks, Di. Good to be seen. Are you thinking about EQ? I know you were one that had some success, along with a deader or two, in previous new releases. I tried too early last time, and I think that's what caused the multiple dead eggs for me.
  4. I was away for the weekend, and didn't get back to my computer until about 2:00pm CST Monday. I didn't notice the news about the new release. I did some breeding, noticing the lag at the hour and the fives, but didn't see the new eggs until around 6:00pm, which seems to have been after the glitch was discovered and subsequently fixed. I tried to click on one or two, but no luck. I had checked out the cave earlier when I picked up the 2 CBs, but since it was after the regular eggs were mixing with the new ones, it just seemed normal. This was the first time I'd missed the first day of a new release. I'd always previously been able get the new eggs during the flood, when they were the only things available. But even though it was almost 30 hours into the release, I was still able to egg-lock myself within 2-3 of the five-minute drops. I had 2 bred eggs, and 2 CBs, so I was only able to get 3 of the new ones. After another hour or so, one of the CBs came off cool-down, so I released it and picked up my fourth new egg without any problems. I started reading the forum after egg-locking myself. TJ's eggs had already hatched. I missed the excitement of waiting for the eggs to start cracking, and then seeing who had sprited the new dragons. Thanks, Imbecamiel, they are fabulous! It took several hours to read through to the present, but I relived the drama of the egg flow stopping, then the glitch being fixed, complete with all the speculation of rarity, and complaints of unfairness. I'm glad I didn't have to go through that live. So now it's Tuesday, I have 2 pairs influenced, and I'm waiting the full 24 hours before incubating my babies and then adding them to a hatchery. I get to wait for the hatchlings to grow up along with all of you, live this time. Love the new babies, and thanks for the new release.
  5. Swallow's are naturally unladen, but they don't travel through air. They travel through the thoracic musculature. The natural swallow speed is approximately 2 gulps per second. Sorry Mods, that's a bit off-topic. Can we restrict the questions to being about the new release dragons? And, by the way, Odeen, the Gemshard Dragons are exquisite, really! Thank you.
  6. Thanks for the info. What else do we need to know about the new release dragons? What their element is? I mean the thing that determines what the result of breeding with a GoN would be? Anyone else have questions?
  7. The only way to know for sure if a dragon has a BSA is to look at the Actions page. The Actions page is only shown to the owner of the dragon. No one except TJ has had adults of the new dragons. Now that we have adults, we can see for sure if there is a BSA. I don't know how you can "expect" a BSA. But now we can know for sure whether or not there is one.
  8. I have a Striped River Dragon who was EQed to hatch early. She is now an adult. She does NOT have a BSA. Rubyshoes, do your Gemshards show a BSA? Anyone with adult Plated Colossus Dragons, do they show a BSA?
  9. I have a male and female red gemstone pair. Well, at least they were influenced that way. If the influences keep, I'll have a male and female red pair. Picked up two more plated and two more gemstones. I still have about half an hour before the second dead egg lets me have its slot back.
  10. Why do you say it's over? The new eggs are available in Forest and Jungle, with the plated eggs available in both. So what if it's not a mass exclusive drop. You can still easily catch the new eggs with a little patience. I plan on getting a bunch more tomorrow after my first batch hatches. It won't be "over" for a while yet. And these are permanent eggs. They'll be around forever, now.
  11. I originally Earthquaked last night (24 hours ago), and it just killed a condensation egg. I Earthquaked again 4 hours ago, and it killed a plated egg but it hatched the remaining condensation egg. The 24 hours were up 5 minutes ago at 7:00pm Central, and I picked up another gemstone egg. Rubyshoes, I'm glad your EQ hatched 2 gemstones. You paid a price, but got a very good outcome. I've seen a red CB hatchie, and now blue and green on your scroll, so that pretty much says we should be able to get CBs of all colors.
  12. Definite cracks on the 2 condensation eggs. They are hard to see on the gemstones, but I think I can see cracks on the first 6. Nothing on the plated eggs, yet. Come on cracks! Get to hatching already!
  13. I just had to do it. I Earthquaked my scroll. It killed one of the condensation eggs, but the rest were unaffected. The last time I did that was for the Undines, and I got a couple of hatchies early. But no luck this time. Am I right in thinking the dead egg will take up an egg slot for 12 hours before I can get another egg?
  14. In previous releases the eggs had already hatched by now. I think there just haven't been as many people clicking on the new eggs to get them to hatch quickly.
  15. I missed the beginning of the drop, but when I first saw TJ's post at 2:45 EST, there were only 9 gem eggs. I wondered what all the talk about 12 eggs was about. You know TJ is famous for misdirecting us with the number of eggs. I think he gets a kick out of the speculation on the new egg topics. All we can do is wait and see.
  16. Thanks and congrats to PieMaster and Tikigurl191! Can't wait to see the adults. (Well, yes I can wait, cause we all have to)
  17. I have a new reason to play the ManaAlchemy game. 81 Mana lets me send 4 presents!
  18. Nobody (except TJ) knows. But if I were to bet, I'd bet on today or tomorrow.
  19. Well, that was fun. Watching the clock jump backward an hour. Eastern time zone people, you are now on EST, not EDT any more. And, to make this on topic, I was able to catch a Halloween 2014 egg from the AP!
  20. I did just see a Halloween 2014 egg in the AP. Just thought you guys would be interested to know.
  21. Mine are hatching! All 7 are hatched. It was almost exactly as they went from 4d 1h down to 4d. And the tail does look thicker at the end, almost like an open mouth.
  22. I don't want to bust anyone's bubble, but the second male hatchie and the second female hatchie both dropped to 5d 6h about 30 seconds before 10:00pm EST. If my calculations are correct, that should mean that those 2 will grow up at 4:00am, MONDAY morning. That's right, not tonight, not sometime tomorrow after midnight, but another whole day after that, on Monday morning, November 3rd, at 4:00am EST. So if you are getting itchy about TJ's hatchies growing up anytime soon, step away from the computer, calm down, and get ahold of yourself. You're too close to the new eggs, and they're making it hard for you to think clearly. We've still got 30 hours to go before they will grow up. You may say you just can't wait, but I know you can. You got to! Ain't no choice. For all things there is a time, and a season for growing. The dragon growing season for Halloween 2014 eggs just doesn't start for 30 more hours (OK, 29 hours and 50 minutes). Sorry.
  23. When the eggs were fresh, they looked to me almost like they had hatching holes already! It was because the center of the eggs was so dark. I think they had to add the orange sparklies to the cracking eggs so you could tell the difference between fresh dark eggs, and ones with a hole ready to hatch. But the important thing is... My eggs will hatch in less than 3 hours!!!
  24. I think you'll be OK. There are about 18 hours worth of eggs in the AP (the ones we see now with 6d 6h left were dropped 18 hours before Halloween ended) That's a lot of eggs. Happy AP hunting to you, too! ETA: or maybe it's 15 or 21 hours? (6d 6h plus 18h is 7d, plus the extra added day, plus? or minus? the 3h from now til midnight) This adding a day to AP eggs always throws my math off.
  25. I think the Halloween Egg Wall will last longer than the 3 1/2 hours it will take for your eggs to hatch. I too got mine in the first 10 minutes, and I'm looking for 7 hatchies by ten minutes after midnight. Good AP hunting!
