Feli carefully started to gather select leaves and branches. The cold started to settle in and Feli didn't want to be caught without a fire going. First she started to set up a small campfire. She gathered stones to keep around the edges and small kindling along with some larger branches. She piled them in the middle, ready to be lit. Feli looked up from her pile of sticks. “Hey, Lani can you try and find a way to get this fire started while I make shelter please?” without waiting for an answer Feli started to weave leaves for a thatch roof She needed mud to use as glue and to fill in any holes that might cause problems. So she opened a fine and poured it into a small pile of dirt. She was trying her best not to use the water, but as of right now it seemed like they had enough. She just hoped no one would notice or be upset, especially since she didn’t ask. Using the mud she was able to finish the roof and start making some stakes to hold it up. Before long, she had almost finished a somewhat stable shelter. The sides where make of sticks leaning onto the main structure, leaves where plastered on with mud. “Almost done,” she sighed to herself. Looking at the shelter, she was rather proud, it seemed like it would hold for the night and it was large enough to house the four survivors.

So since we're going to go to sleep soon, I'm guessing there will be a timeskip over night? If there is should I post now or after it happens?

for making a shelter, feli might need some mud. So would we have enough water to spare for making some or should I find another way to make a shelter?

((No problem. Welcome back. And yeah, the description is just fine. ^^ )) Aaron walked forward not looking back at the group. He didn't like it up on the surface, it was too easy to be spotted. “Well, no one else is up on the surface aside from us anyways. Maybe it won't be so bad. It's not like something will suddenly pop up from nowhere and notice them. I mean, everyone was rather dead, in a city, or underground." Aaron spotted something moving in the corner of his eye just outside a small group of trees. He quickly reacted and pulled out his knife, ready to attack. He froze just as his fingers where about to let go of the knife. There was someone there, waving at them. “Oh great, another one. Just what I wanted.” Aaron sarcastically thought. He jerked his thumb over his shoulder pointing to the person in the distance. “We have more company,” he said in an annoyed tone. Aaron was not one for being social, obviously, so this was taking a step out of his comfort zone annoying. Still, he didn't want to just leave the person, he or she- a he couldn't tell who it was from the distance- might have something useful or might be of some sort of help. “Hey, kid,” Aaron called out. “What do you want?”
-
"Sure," Feli replied shuffling over to her bag. She rummaged through her luggage and pulled out the mug. It had gained a crack in its lip but still remained useful. She handed it over to Lani before zipping up her bag and placing it back down. She took another sip from the bamboo she had split open a little while ago and looked at the sky. "I think we should stop here for the day. I can start making a shelter to help filter out the sun and whatever other element the weather might throw at us," she suggested.

Got it. Sorry for the short length of my post, i'll try and make a longer one next time.

((We're not near a forest. (see the map.) But we can fix that in a couple posts.)) Aaron looked out into the field. “Well there's no use in standing around here. I'm leaving now, so follow if you want. But if you're planning to come along, be useful. There's nothing I hate more then deadweights.” The statement was mostly directed at Samuel. Aaron worried about his usefulness to the group. Packing up the last of his things, Aaron departed from the makeshift camping spot, making his way north. “If we hurry we can get there in a couple days,” he called back to the group. He didn't want to waste time. Being out in the open was dangerous. He just wanted to get to the city. If Kahni had survived this long, then the city wasn't going to fall any time soon.

Feli pierced the Bamboo and started to drink from it slowly. Her throat was dry, and as a result her body almost rejected the water. But she choked it down. It hurt to swallow but water was more then welcome. Feli coughed after drinking a couple sips and started to drink a bit more. despite what Karrin said, It was probably best Feli had only a little as of right now, she wanted to make sure the others got just as much as she did. A couple sips would be okay until the rest had some. Cody spoke briefly. Feli would have expressed her surprise if she wasn't so tired. She wasn't able to hear much but the words 'cut vines'. Without talking she got up and started to gather some vines. "I still have that mug, it that helps. It's in my pack near that tree," Feli replied to anyone who would want to retrieve it.
-
Feli heard some rustling in the leaves not too far away. She stood up with her now worn-down stake in her hand ready to do her best to kill anything that was a threat. A wave of relief washed over her when she realized it was just Lani and Karrin; when she realized Derek wasn't with them, however, her lips pulled into a frown. She didn't want to ask, she already knew all she needed to. Derek was gone, and that was that. However Karrin and Lani had found some bamboo shoots, which was good news. Feli tried her best to ignore yet another comment from Lani. Feli mumbled to herself just quiet enough so she was the only one who could hear it. 'Shut up, jerk. I did all I could. Leave me alone.' With a sigh Feli placed the bamboo shoots up against the tree. She turned to Karrin. “Bamboo shoots, that's good. How much should we have now and how much should we save?”

I'll reply, but it won't be for a couple hours sorry! Be back later.

Sure. Also one more thing. When I first made my Oc, I tried to make her normal and human. You know, not too overpowered. But as I've been playing my OC recently, I've been noticing that she really isn't as helpful as she could be. So would if be okay with you guys if I made her just a bit stronger so she could be more handy with crafting small shelters or even a bit better at fending off a couple animals? Sorry to have to ask. .-.

“Yes, I understand,” Feli shamefully nodded. Usually she would be slightly upset that she was being told what to do when it was as obvious as to stay with Cody, and not go anywhere; that was easy enough, she didn't need to be instructed! But she was in no position to voice her anger. Besides, it was a petty reason to get upset about. And she had to admit it, she was being less then reasonable when she wondered off on multiple occasions, which was probably the base of Lani's concern. She sat down near the trunk of the tree and looked over at Cody. Cody was probably in the worse condition out of everyone in the group and desperately needed water. Maybe Derek would come back with water, or maybe Karrin and Lani would find something that would help while they looked for Derek. But all the the above where childish hopes, really. The chances of anything good happening where practically nonexistent. Cody coughed in his hand, Blood not trickled down his wrist. Feli wanted to help out but there was nothing she could do but make sure Cody was comfortable and try her best to fend of any large animals that would love nothing more then to eat them alive. She started gathering large leaves and anything else she could find to try and keep Cody comfortable and in the shade. She couldn't help but think pessimistically though, things weren't going to end well, she knew it.

Feli didn't hear water, no matter how far they walked. Maybe Karrin was right, Derek was probably just thirsty and as a result his mind confirmed that he heard water. She kept following him though; she didn't want to miss out on a chance of water if there was any. It didn't take long for Feli to notice Derek's uneasy facial expressions, wonder, worry, searching, anxiety, it was all there. Feli shook her head. “We should go back. The others are waiting and we both know there's no water here.” “No, I heard it, it's nearby, I promise! We just need to go a little further, that's all.” He was definitely getting flustered, but Feli knew that they should turn back before they wondered too far. “I know how you feel but I think we're all just tired. Hey, maybe it'll rain soon and we'll get water that way. Come on, the others are probably getting worried.” Without confirmation, Feli turned around and started to head back. It wasn't long before she turned around to see that Derek wasn't following. “Forget it. If you're so persistent you can find your way back yourself,” she mumbled. The rest of the group would blame her, and if anything she was being stupid, but at this point frankly she didn't care. If he died from his own stupidity, that was his problem. But then again, he was human too. Feli couldn't afford to think like that, it would be a large hit to not only her but everyone else is he disappeared. “Hey, Derek! Are you nearby?” She spoke a little louder, although her raspy voice was somewhat restricting her ability to yell. “Derek?” Still, nothing. But if she wondered any further she would lose her way. She continued walking back, boy would she get an earful. She would by lying if she said she wasn't worried, though. She would alert the group, and as a group they could figure out what to do next. It wasn't long before she had found her way back. Cody, Lani, and Karrin where all sitting together waiting. Feli took a deep breath. “...There was no water and Derek and I got separated.” When Feli spoke, it scared her more then she thought it would. Hearing the words and actually delivering the news was worse then she anticipated. She left out the part about their separation being a good 80% her fault, she was too much of a wimp to really say it.

Hehe, yeah, she does tend to wonder off a bit. Posting now. I hope no one minds if I control Derek a little bit in my next post.
-
Maybe he goes off and just doesn't come back. If Skull does come back, he can just say he saw something that might be a sign of civilization, and followed it, but got lost in the process. Either way since my characters with Derek, I would like to sort this out before I can post to avoid confusion. :S

I'll be posting today or tomorrow, sorry it's taking so long.

Sorry it took me so long to get here! You can blame it on anything as long as you don't find out it was my laziness/forgetfulness! //shot again. Teehee, I'm still alive.

“Well we're all stuck out here, and we're not going in. You guys can do whatever you want, I’m leaving by myself.” Aaron turned around and started to walk away, but a something clicked in his head. That skeleton and spider almost finished him off. He wouldn't last long out there alone. He hated to admit it, but he needed someone else. “...On second thought, None of you really have destinations, you're kind of just wondering around. Why don't you come with me to Khani?” Aaron turned to Taylor, “You said you where sick of city life, right? Well I’ve been to Khani before. There's a small village just outside the city. You can still get supplies from the city, but you live further out in the open. Of course the mobs are dangerous, but i'm sure the locals have found ways to deal with 'em.” Aaron spoke once more to the group as a whole. “Let's face it, we all need somewhere to go. Khani's only a couple days north of here.”

*pokes head in* Hellooo~! I'm still alive! *shot*

(Those cringe-worthy moments that you realize despite spelling check you make the most amount of typos. o_- ) “Fine, fine, my name is Aaron Miller. I was kicked out because I had stolen some stuff, killed one or two people who happened to get in my way, and caused some havoc. Yep, you heard me.” Aaron pulled out his knife, opened it, and threw it in the air. “I'm a thief and a murder. But don't worry, I don't kill people unless they get in my way. Unless you're planning to keep me from getting to my destination, you should all be fine.” the knife fell back down and Aaron caught it without hassle. “I'm on my way to the next city over, Kahni. I want a clean slate, and if all else fails, well, that means I have more stuff I can steal. It's more or less a win-win situation for me. Anyways, it's nice to meet you all I guess.”
-
((That 'tomorrow' was much longer then I expected. >_> )) Aaron looked back and saw that a couple people had woken up. At first he looked at Samuel, and how he was dressed. Aaron was most curious as to why he was out here, of all places. He didn't look like someone who could survive very long in the current conditions. Walking back to the cave Aaron wanted to know exactly why everyone was out here and where they where going. “Okay guys, I'm not too keen on the idea of waiting to figure out who you all are or why you're here after you stab me in the back of leave me for dead, so i'm going to ask now. Why are you out here? If you're a bunch of guards making sure I don't make it back into the city then you can calm down already- I have no intention of going back.”
-
“Yeah, yeah, sure, whatever. Look, the sound coming from your mouth is making me pretty irritated so I’ll make things short. You can rather leave, or contribute to the group. And quiet down, these people are trying to sleep.” Aaron turned back to the mouth of the cave. “And put your shovel down, if anyone opens their eyes and sees you they'll assume you're here to bash in their heads.” (aaaand warp speed to-- *ahem* I mean, time skip.) Aaron had volunteered to take watch twice. He was good at staying up late, and everyone elsed seemed too tired. He watched the sun rise over the plains. Throughout the night he had seen a couple monsters. He saw another skeleton and a zombie, but they where too far off to worry about. He had heard a couple sounds but he dismissed them as they weren't too alarming. By now the coast was clear. Aaron took a look behind himself, everyone else was still asleep. He got up and stretched. It wouldn't hurt to stay just a couple yards away. Besides, if anything happened he would take notice before anything horrible could happen, right?
-
Before anyone could really get to sleep, someone else emerged from the cave. Aaron thought this was unusual, as how Maelik was probably the safest place to be yes everyone was leaving. Maybe people left regularly and he just never noticed? “Well, fellow peasant,” Aaron snapped, “You're on your own. Getting out of the city is easy but getting back in is a different story. The city was made to keep intruders out. You shouldn’t have left in the first place.” Aaron sat on a rock at the mouth of the cave keeping watch, ignoring the man and any further inquires or statements. ((the timeskip will take place once you're ready Melo.)

((timeskip for the night anyone?))

*flops around like an idiot.* Yeah I'm still here.
