Well, my post search thing isn't working, so I went back and looked myself for a topic on this game. If there was one, its been a while lol

 

Anyways, I absolutely love okami. I think its a beautiful, well thought out game with a very creative story line. I love how its based on japanese folklore too. I wanted to know what other people thought of it too.

 

For the ammy fans out there:

Have you beat the game?

Have you found all of the stray beads?

Gotten all of the weapons?

Had trouble with spider gates?

Found all the secret brush techniques?

Etc.

 

Cause I know these are some of my favorite aspects of the game...well, except the spider gates. But anyone else who has taken these on knows why.

Nope~ Not that hard to find/beat, really, if you know what you're doing.

Nope. I enjoyed them so much I beat them several times over just for the lulz.

Oh yes. My favourite is cherry bomb and mist.

My favorite secret technique would have to be deluge.

I didn't even know there were secret brush techniques until my second playthrough, when I wondered "why can't I still cut those fancy-looking rocks?" Then I proceeded to unlock the ability to produce more bombs ._. It took a while for my mind to click and realise the connection...

Yes, although I didn't find them -all- without any help. 70 or so I found on my own though ^^

(totally cheated on Grande Blockhead >.> Took an erasable marker to the screen and drew lines from dot to dot. haha)

Okamiden... Sequel to Okami, scheduled to be released 2011 for the DS. Sadly since Clover Studio's closed down it's been made my Capcom, so we'll see if this measures up to the original.

Yeah, I'm really slow and out of the loop tough.

 

I'm disappointed by the fact that it's not a PS3 game, the PS2 one was truly beautiful and the DS doesn't do anything good to the graphics. The beauty of the world, for me, was one of the reasons I liked the game, so it's a given I'm not exactly excited about that aspect... But I'll get it unless I hear horrible things about it, just to continue the story.

 

If Capcom does make it a bad game, well... Then I'll be kinda pissed, Okami deserves an epic sequel. They already kinda pissed me off when they took out the credits in the Wii version lol.

...Honestly, I think it may turn out to be a cute/decent DS game. Not to mention the stylus part of things will make it easier to draw the brush strokes.

 

 

It looks like it may be similar if not exactly the same style of doing things.

Graphics and whatnot, though, who knows. Just gotta see when it comes out. c: I'm getting it either way.

I hate the Blockheads. Especially that one on Oni Island. I'll be cruising through Oni Island, having a good time, looking forward that big boss fight, and then WHAM! Blockhead. I have spent HOURS trying to get past that bleeping thing.
