Killed me in the beginning... it was SO SLOW~! Unless you are like my brother who is into finding the power in yourself kinda book, i wouldnt recommend it. This book doesnt even have romance! lol x) Edited August 6, 2010 by BeL0VED Share this post Link to post
Posted August 6, 2010 (edited) Book Number: 2 Number Of Pages: 323 Book Title: Pyramids Author: Terry Pratchett Rating: 4/5 Also, if manga count if they are over 500 pages, does this also apply to comic books, or can those be simply over 100 pages as well? @Beloved: Whaaaaat. I loved The Warrior Heir! Then again I don't mind books with no romance and I can usually plow through slow beginnings, so Your Mileage May Vary. My friend forced it on me, I usually dislike books set in this time period. It is a wonderfully perfect story, and one of a very few things that has actually brought tears to my eyes. Posted August 7, 2010 That's good to hear, as I'm planning to go to the library for the first book in the series on Monday! Haa, that's awesome, getting Mister Monday on a Monday. :3 The series is aimed a bit more to young adults than Nix's Old Kingdom trilogy, but the writing is still superb. I have Lord Sunday waiting for me at the library, although I just started reading Lady Friday. Share this post Link to post

The plot twists keep me on my toes, the characterization was spot-on, and the pacing was perfect. I'll see if I can find the next book at the library, otherwise I'll have to go back to Target. Posted August 8, 2010 (edited) Updated up to here. Sorry for not replying to any questions, *pokes draco's post for the explanation*. Lightningstreak: Comics will have to be 500+ pages to count. fly_away_soon: Your two books don't count as they are manga and need to have more than 500 pages. Kanaye: There are no rules regarding re-reads. Every time you read a book you gain a point. It's just nice to see which books people have read mutilple times, that's all. /EDIT: I have decided I (draco) will update the second post every Sunday, as well as the top readers in my sig. Freddy will probably decide when she wants to update after she gets back from her holiday tomorrow. Edited August 8, 2010 by BookChallenge Share this post Link to post
