@Ladyfish: Have your read C.L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series? The two authors are friends and Wilson's series is very like Feehan's Dark series.

I am hereby dropping out of the 250 Book Challenge.

Why? Because I'm so far behind in posting what I've read that it would be nearly impossible to catch up.

I probably have already read that many, considering how many ebooks I've read plus the fact that I have moved to another state near a large city with a huge library only minutes away. I currently have over 20 books checked out right this minute!

Anyway, please take my name off of the tally board. I will keep the link in my signature, though!

Thanks for the good times! I'll try harder next year!

Review: It blew me away. Proper review hopefully by the end of the month. For now:

It needs an editor but the book is still readable. It's long but each scene between the two protagonists serve to deepen and develop their relationship. The characters are hardly flat and two dimensional; they change and grow - and the book is barely even halfway over. It's technically a m/m love story but it's violent and realistic. If it weren't for the love story line, it'd probably be one of those blood, battle and gore books that the big boys like to read (and that I prefer to avoid). I don't like too much realism in my escapism stories, but this works for me. And these authors are soo good at showing, not telling. The last time I was this impressed by how authors showed the characters falling in love instead of telling the readers was J.L. Merrow's novella, Pricks and Pragmatism.

It is self-published, and available for free in PDF format from the author's website.

Avoid if you dislike reading about: violence, rape, gay relationships, straying (uncommitted) partners

Book Title: Sweet Seduction

Author: Tania Tirraoro

Review: My Goodreads review

It was okay. It was light, sweet and readable. But it was also unoriginal, the characters were fairly flat, and the dialogue rather trite. There was a serious case of tell, not show, and a lot of introspection.

I found what book it is censoring. I wouldn't advise trying to get around it, (not that you tried). I will count it as a book read when I next update, no worries.

Review: I liked this. Except for all that poor crippled dog went through. That poor Sam. I wish it had gone at least 10 more pages at the end, tell us how the job worked out, how the building went and if him staying there with the dogs worked. They just planned it and then "the end".

I didn't keep track of the books that I'd read in the past few weeks - had a seizure and well, I forgot that I was keeping track of what I was reading until now... sometimes my brain likes to embarrass me... gotta teach it some manners *nodnodnod*

Anyway, I bow out of this challenge, but I will join the next book challenge. I bow out because I've read about 45 books since last posting of what I read. No way I can remember them all, unfortunately.
