Certainly 250 books is a little extreme even with being able to read a book or two a day, so I'll just settle for a milestone of at least 50. I'll begin listing the books I've completed once I've actually finished one after today's date. Currently partway through one, it still counts doesn't it? Only read around 100 of the 600 pages. Posted February 27, 2011 Book Number: 1 Number Of Pages: 595 Book Title: The Godfather Author: Mario Puzo Rating: 9/10 Review: An amazing novel about the rise, destruction and recovery of a Sicilian Mafia family based in New York. The novel details the more legitimate trades a Mafia family would participate in, along with having an in-depth view of how a typical Mafia family would operate when it came to dirty business. Such as how vengeance is gained, how businesses are kept in check and how a Mafia family attempts to remain neutral with other powerful Mafia families. It also describes how leadership among the Mafia is tested, earned and admired, the novel illustrates just how fast one callous act can turn the underworld into a full on war zone. Overall the novel was an enjoyable read, perhaps one of the best crime novels I have ever read. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading mature crime based fiction that has been inspired by similar events/organizations in the real world.
