Book Number: 2 Number Of Pages: 228 Book Title: Deja Dead Author: Kathy Reichs Rating: 4 Review: If you like the "Bones" TV show you will really like this ... it's better, on the order of James Patterson's Alex Cross novels only the hero is a female. Posted September 18, 2010 Book Number: 39 Number Of Pages: 231 Book Title: A Pirate's Heart Author:Catherine Friend Review: I didn't much like this actually. And not just because of the dog napping. Spoiler: Turns out the woman she was traveling with, trying to rescue these 16th century maps was actually the one stealing them in the first place. Book Number: 40 Number Of Pages: 252 Book Title: Unlikely Hero ~R~ Author: Sean Michael Review: Second time reading this. I really like Sean Michael, but I think I prefer his Hammer Series. ~*~ I read those a couple nights ago. Couldn't sleep. And tonight I read: Book Number: 41 Number Of Pages: 256 Book Title: Feral ~R~ Author: Joely Skye Review: Second time reading this one as well. I liked the fact that one of the main characters was a were-cougar, instead of a werewolf. Made for very interesting reading. I do so wish werewolf books would all get the same exact facts. On some books Omega wolfs are protected and bring peace to the pack. Some books also have them have extra abilities such as healing. And then in other books, Omegas are the lowest of the low in the packs and are treated worse than dirt. *Grrrs* And some have werewolves insta-change, like Twilight, others have them have slow and extremely painful changes, Mercy Thompson series. And some go inbetween, like Feral. *Grrs more and then sighs.* Share this post Link to post
Posted September 18, 2010 (edited) Book Number: 8 Number Of Pages: 540 Book Title: A Prayer For Owen Meany Author: John Irving Rating: 4.2/5 Review: A book that goes back and forth in time to tell about a boy with a very weird voice and small stature, who comes to believe that he's a weapon in the hands of God after he accidentally kills his best friend's mother at a baseball game, and about his life before and after that, told from the perspective of the said best friend. I don't give it a full 5/5 rating because it's somewhat slow-going and at parts I felt a small roadblock when reading it, but all in all this is a very good, weird book which leaves you wondering whether all that was serious or one long-winded joke. Posted September 21, 2010 (edited) Book Number: 9 Number Of Pages: 692 Book Title: Breaking Dawn Author: Stephenie Meyer Rating: 2/5 Review: I only read it because I intend to watch the movie, since I want to know how they'll pull off one particular scene and wanted to know whether there would be some other beyond-ridiculous after that, since I couldn't bring myself to finish it when I tried to read Breaking Dawn last year. That's it. Edited September 21, 2010 by lightbird Share this post Link to post

Posted September 22, 2010 (edited) Book Number: 7 Number Of Pages: 279 Book Title: Sea of Monsters Author: Rick Riodan I kept finding spelling and grammatical errors in this one, which is weird because I didn't notice any in the first book. I was tempted to grab a pencil and circle them, but it wasn't my book. Heh. Now, I just need to go to the library to get the others in the series. ETA: Woo, first time I have two book updates on the same page. Edited September 22, 2010 by Diem Adrienne Share this post Link to post

I actually listened to it. It wasn't bad but I hate when they have to put unnecessary sex in books. It's a mystery, not a magazine!! *growls* Share this post Link to post
