Posted July 16, 2010 I get lost in crowds: if I can, I remain invisible to the hungry mouths. I stay unapproachable. I wear the landscape of the urban chameleon. Scarred by attention. And quietly addicted to innocence. At starry parties where, amongst the rich and the famous IÂ’m stuck for words: or worse, I blether with the best of them. I see their eyes glaze and they look for the drinks tray. Something in the drift of my conversation bothers them. So, who am I? Come on: ask me, I dare you. So, who am I? Come on: question me, if you care to. And why not try to interrogate this apparition? I melt away to get lost in this quaint condition. In scary airports, in concourses over-filled, I am detached in serious observation. As a passenger, I become un-tethered when I get lost in clouds: at home with my own quiet company. Herald Tribune or USA Today. Sauvignon Blanc or oaky Chardonnay. Asleep for the movie. Awake for the dawn dancing on England and hedgerows embossed on a carpet of green. I descend and forgive me I mean to get lost in crowds. -Ian Anderson's Lost in Crowds Share this post Link to post

Posted June 3, 2011 This is only a very small portion of a song's lyrics, but: "Seasons come and go, but I will never change" From the song Written in the Stars by Tinie Tempah and Eric Turner. I like it because people think that I'm going to go off to college and become a totally different person. But I don't think that's true at all. Share this post Link to post
Posted November 2, 2011 hm i have a few full songs that inspire me. in order of finding them. Skillet's- The Last Night -You come to me with scars on your wrist, You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this, "I just came to say goodbye, I didn't want you to see me cry, I'm fine," But I know it's a lie that opening made me cry and i cried through the whole song. it still remains my favorite and the song that has got me through everything. Skillet's- Hero -I've gotta fight today, To live another day, Speaking my mind today, My voice will be heard today!! I often go through stages where i feel like no one is listening and no one cares. When i first heard this song i listened to it as an atheist and took inspiration. knowing the band is christian didn't change a thing. i love this song regardless. instead of adding another Skillet song (alomst all their newer ones hit a mark with me) Shinedown- Second Chance Sometimes goodbye is a second chance Some people you can only love at a distance. i love my dad but living with him is taxing and causes trouble, to say goodbye and leave, is what i need to do before we both hate each other forever Nightwish- Eva We kill with her own loving heart i have had my kindness used against me and others too many times to count Three days graceXApocalyptica- I don't care Whole song, can not pick a line. this is how i feel about an Abusive EX. he hurt me but this song has given me the strength to not only move on, but get over it and become stronger for it Cristina ScabbiaXApocalyptica- SOS Bound to your side and trapped in silence, Just a possession about the same Ex as before >w> Three days grace- Never too late it's not too late, it's never too late if you haven't guessed, i have depression. this song is just inspiring enough to help when i'm down last but certainly not least Three days grace- Riot whole song! we have all felt opressed once or twice, but due to my past i almost always feel opressed and alone. this songs reminds me i am not the only one! and i should never go down quietly!! these songs have each possibly saved me more than once and i cherish them Share this post Link to post

Posted November 2, 2011 Sleeping Giant - Eyes Wide Open They try to silence my voice they try to hold me down but I'm still screaming out, I'm still screaming out They try to silence my voice They try to hold me down but I'm still screaming out YOU BETTER PRAY! They call me fanatic cause I can stand on my own. I speak revivalist I got this fire shut up in my bones. They call me fanatic. And all the church doors they stay closed because I testify they preach sermons but they still don't know. For Today - Devastator Let my name be feared at the gates of hell, as I exalt the Savior. The One that died to buy my victory, and gave me a new name. Let my name be feared at the gates of hell, as I exalt the Savior. In the name of the Holy One of God, For Today - White Flag Finally, I surrender. All to you, I give it all to you. Finally, I surrender. All I am, I owe it all. You fight for me when I can't fight for myself. This battle is not mine. But the battle belongs to the Lord. .... Under the blood I rise. Redeemed I stand. Carried back from hell, by your nail scarred hands. And now I'm free. You broke my chains and You gave me the key. Redeemed I stand. -------------------- CHRISTIAN HEAVY FOR THE WIN! Posted November 6, 2011 Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now? Can we survive it out there, can we make it somehow? I guess I thought that this would never end And suddenly it's like we're women and men Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round? Will these memories fade when I leave this town? I keep, keep thinking that it's not goodbye Keep on thinking that it's time to fly... ...And basically the whole song of "Friends Forever" by Vitamin C. These lyrics haven't changed my life YET, but it probably will when I graduate from high school. Very inspirational. Share this post Link to post

I need to remember this song exists. And maybe get a blue canary nightlight. Also, these (Note: from a leaked MLP song. DO NOT READ IF YOU DISLIKE SPOILERS. This is also in struck-out, teeny tiny ghostwhite text, so there is virtually no reason to see it unless you specifically want to.) My name is Pinkie Pie (hello!), And I am here to say (how ya doin'?), I'm gonna make you smile, and I will brighten up your day! It doesn't matter now (what's up?), If you are sad or blue (howdy!). Cause cheering up, my friend, is just what Pinkie's here to do! Cause I love to make you smile, smile, smile! (Yes I do!) It fills my heart with sunshine all the while, (yes it does!) Cause all I really need is smile, smile, smile, From these happy friends of mine! I like to see you grin (awesome!), I love to see you beam (rock on!), The corners of your mouth turned up, Is always Pinkie's dream (hoofbump!). But if you're kind of worried, And your face has made a frown, I'll work real hard and do my best, To turn that sad frown upside-down! Cause I love to make you grin, grin, grin! (Yes, I do!) Busting out from ear to ear, Let it begin! Just give me a joyful grin, grin, grin! And you fill me with good cheer! It's true, some days are dark and lonely. And maybe you feel sad, But Pinkie will be there to show you that it isn't that bad. There's one thing that makes me happy, And makes my whole life worthwhile! And that's when I talk to my friends and get them to smile! I really am so happy, Your smile fills me with glee! I give a smile, I get a smile, And that's so special to me. Cause I love to see you beam, beam, beam (yes I do!)! Tell me, what more can I say to make you see? (That I do!) It makes me happy when you beam, beam, beam. Yes it always makes my day! Come on, everypony, smile, smile, smile. Fill my heart up with sunshine, sunshine. All I really need is a smile, smile, smile, From these happy friends of mine! It's a perfect gift for me, Is a smile as wide as a mile! To make me happy as can be! Smile, smile, smile, smile, smile! Come on and smile! Come on and smile!! Posted November 14, 2011 How can I repay you, brother mine? How can I expect you to forgive? Clinging to the past, I shed our blood. And shattered your chance to live. Though I knew the laws, I payed no heed. How can I return your wasted breath? What I did not know has cost you dear, For there is no cure for death. Beautiful mother, soft and sweet, Once you were gone we were not complete. Back through the years we reached for you, Alas 'twas not meant to be. And how can I make amends? For all that I took from you? I led you with hopeless dreams, My brother, I was a fool. Don't cry for the past now, brother mine. Neither you nor I are free from blame. Nothing can erase the things we did, For the path we took was the same. Beautiful mother, soft and sweet, Once you were gone we were not complete. Back through the years we reached for you, Alas 'twas not meant to be. My dreams made me blind and mute. I long to return to that time. I followed without a word, My brother the fault is mine. So where do we go from here? And how to forget and forgive? What's gone is forever lost. Now all we can do is live. ~Brothers, English Version Sung By Vic Mignogna, Fullmetal Alchemist Share this post Link to post

Posted November 15, 2011 The song 'Rise Above This' by Seether has definitely helped me through some tough times. When it first came out, it didn't mean much to me, but after my mother died, and I listened to this song, it really touched me. The song is about his brother, whom he was very close to, who committed suicide. And no matter how hard it is and how hopeless it seems, you must rise above it and heal yourself before it gets to be too overwhelming. I was extremely close to my mother and losing her was the worst thing to ever happen to me, but this song gives me hope and reminds me to make myself a better person and eventually, it will get better. I wish I would have met him (Shaun, the singer) a few years after I actually did so I can thank him. But when I met him, my life was perfectly fine, and the song wasn't even out yet. X\ Take the light, and darken everything around me call the clouds and listen closely, I'm lost without you Call your name every day when i feel so helpless I'm fallin' down but I'll rise above this, rise above this Hate the mind, regrets are better left unspoken For all we know, this void will grow and Everything's in vain, distressing you though it leaves me open Feels so right, but I'll end this all before it gets me Call your name every day, when i feel so helpless I'm fallin' down, but I'll rise above this, rise above this Call your name every day, when i seem so helpless I'm fallin' down, but I'll rise above this, rise above this doubt I'll mend myself before it gets me (I'll mend myself before it gets me) I'll mend myself before it gets me (I'll mend myself before it gets me) Call your name every day, when i feel so helpless I'm fallin' down, but I'll rise above this, rise above this Call your name every day, when i seem so helpless I'm fallin' down, but I'll rise above this, rise above this Forty eight ways to say that I'm feelin' helpless Fallin' down, fallin down', but I'll rise above this, rise above this But I live by these lyrics every day. Every time I feel down and depressed, I go for a drive, turn up the radio as loud as possible, and sing to this song. And even though it makes me feel like crying every time, at the same time, it makes me feel 1,000x better. Share this post Link to post

Posted June 21, 2012 Just a warning, I don`t remember the lyrics exactly. "This is dedicated to the kids, the kids that know something`s wrong, the kids that don`t fit in." there was also something about a homeless guy saying something about how would you feel if people acted like you didn`t exist. Linkin` Park`s song, `Dedicated` really moved me, because I felt like I got the deeper message in the song. Share this post Link to post
