Posted May 14, 2010 "Say it with me one more time; I am feeling fine. Even if your heart feels cold, it will warm in time." - Headphones on your heart by Leeni. I dunno, I just really like that line Share this post Link to post
Posted May 14, 2010 Still Alive. The entirety of it, but 'there's no sense crying over every mistake/just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake' is rather inspiring. And Discovery Channel's 'I love the whole world' song just makes me feel like the world isn't carp Share this post Link to post

Posted May 14, 2010 FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-...... Why must you beat me to yelling "STILL ALIVE" at people, Paine? D: Because I'm awesome? Hey, Still Alive (and Portal in general) kept me from becoming depressed, it'll always be mentioned in topics like this. Share this post Link to post

Posted May 15, 2010 Ooh, interesting thread. *lurks* Some of mine: "Leave it all behind you now, the final wall is breaking down We are what it's all about...nothing can stop us now" "Silence can destroy...get up and raise your voice" "And Life is a road and I want to keep going Love is a river I want to keep flowing Life is a road now and forever A Wonderful journey" ^ This song really stopped me from heading towards depression, I must admit... "Takes more than combat gear to make a man Takes more than a license for a gun Confront your enemies, avoid them when you can A gentleman will walk but never run [...] It takes a man to suffer ignorance and smile Be yourself no matter what they say" ...Eh, those are just some that popped into my head. I'm sure I'll find more if I browse my iTunes library, but it's too late for that now. Share this post Link to post

Posted May 15, 2010 Ooh, interesting thread. *lurks* "And Life is a road and I want to keep going Love is a river I want to keep flowing Life is a road now and forever A Wonderful journey" ^ This song really stopped me from heading towards depression, I must admit... My sister and I just watched Anastasia the other day, MissK.; I love that movie. :3 Ahem. But lately, I've had "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast stuck in my head... "Look, there she goes, that girl is strange, no question. Dazed and distracted, can't you tell? Never part of any crowd 'Cause her head's up on some cloud -- No denying she's a funny girl, that Belle..." And then there's Counting Crows. Anything this band does has meaning to me; for right now, let's go with "Mrs. Potter's Lullaby:" "If you've never stared off into the distance, then your life is a shame; Though I'll never forget your face, sometimes I can't remember my name." Or maybe "Anna Begins:" "This isn't love, 'cause if you don't wanna talk about it, Then it isn't love. I guess I'm going to have to live without But I'm sure There's something in a shade of gray Or something in between, And I can always change my name if that's what you mean... And this time, when kindness falls like rains, it washes me away, And Anna begins to change my mind. Every time she sneezes I believe it's love And oh, Lord, I'm not ready for this sort of thing." "Anna Begins" is my absolute favorite song ever. It's a shame no one my age seems to know Counting Crows... *spins off in fancraze* ~Feathers Share this post Link to post
Posted May 15, 2010 "Climb every mountain, ford every stream, Follow every rainbow, 'til you find your dream" The Sound of Music has some nice messages, I'd say. My sister and I just watched Anastasia the other day, MissK.; I love that movie. :3 Me too n_n Interestingly enough, I never watched it when I was younger...only last year did I download it. Ahem. But lately, I've had "Belle" from Beauty and the Beast stuck in my head... "Look, there she goes, that girl is strange, no question. Dazed and distracted, can't you tell? Never part of any crowd 'Cause her head's up on some cloud -- No denying she's a funny girl, that Belle..." Apparently it's contagious... *sings along* o_o; Share this post Link to post
Posted May 15, 2010 Lol, MissK. A true lol. =) And Disney songs are *hugely* contagious! But I've been craving to watch movies from my childhood lately, oddly enough. For example, when we dug out Anastasia, I didn't realize that John Cuszack (not sure I've spelled his name correctly...) and Meg Ryan were Dimitri and Anastasia! =O So weird to find recognizable names in cartoons... Um. But. I had a point... Ah, yes. Anyone here know The Swan Princess? An underrated gem of cartoon-ism. "We’re off on a mission, We’re tough, in good condition! We're short, but standing tall -- No fear! There's danger around us, They'd hurt us if they found us! Our backs are to the wall -- No fear!" Ah, memories! *contented smile* Share this post Link to post

Posted May 15, 2010 This whole song- "Title: Cat And Mouse Artist: The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Album: Don't You Fake It Year: 2006 Softly we tremble tonight, picture perfect fading smiles are all that's left in site, I said I'd never leave you'll never change I'm not satisfied with where I'm at in life. Am I supposed to be happy? When all I ever wanted, it comes with a price. Am I supposed to be happy? When all I ever wanted, it comes with a price. You said, you said that you would die for me…. We made plans to grow old, believe me there was truth in all those stories that I told. Lost in a simple game cat and mouse are we the same people as before this came to light? Am I supposed to be happy? when all I ever wanted, it comes with a price. Am I supposed to be happy? with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price. You said, you said that you would die for me… You must live for me too'... For me too...yeah, yeah… You said that you would die for me… Am I supposed to be happy? with all I ever wanted, it comes with a price. Am I supposed to be happy? when all I ever wanted, it comes with a price You said, you said that you would die for me... " Share this post Link to post
Posted May 15, 2010 I love this song, The Man's Too Strong, by Dire Straits: I'm just an aging drummer boy And in the wars I used to play And I've called the tune To many a torture session Now they say I am a war criminal And I'm fading away Father please hear my confession I have legalized robbery Called it belief I have run with the money I have hid like a thief I have re-written history With my armies of my crooks Invented memories I did burn all the books And I can still hear his laughter And I can still hear his song The man's too big The man's too strong Well I have tried to be meek And I have tried to be mild But I spat like a woman And I sulked like a child I have lived behind walls That have made me alone Striven for peace Which I never have known And I can still hear his laughter And I can still hear his song The man's too big The man's too strong Well the sun rose on the courtyard And they all did hear him say You always was a Judas But I got you anyway You may have got your silver But I swear upon my life Your sister gave me diamonds And I gave them to your wife ' Oh Father please help me For I have done wrong The man's too big The man's too strong Share this post Link to post
Posted May 15, 2010 This song's lyrics really say something... What do you mean, "I don't believe in God"? I talk to him every day. What do you mean, "I don't support your system"? I go to court when I have to. What do you mean, "I can't get to work on time"? I got nothing better to do And, what do you mean, "I don't pay my bills"? Why do you think I'm broke? Huh? Chorus If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line. But, it better work this time. What do you mean, "I hurt your feelings"? I didn't know you had any feelings. What do you mean, "I ain't kind"? I'm just not your kind. What do you mean, "I couldn't be president, of the United States of America"? Tell me something, it's still "We the people", right? Chorus If there's a new way, I'll be the first in line. But, it better work this time. Can you put a price on peace? Peace, Peace sells..., Peace, Peace sells..., Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? Peace sells...,but who's buying? no, no no no no peace sells, peace sells, AHH Another great one is this... Tremble you weakings, cower in fear I am your ruler, land, sea and air Immense in my girth, erect I stand tall I am nuclear murderer I am Polaris Ready to pounce at the touch of a button My systems locked in on military gluttons I rule on land, air and sea Pass judgement on humanity Winds blow from the bowels of hell Will we give warnings, only time will tell Satan rears his ugly head, to spit into the wind I spread disease like a dog Discharge my payload a mile high Rotten egg air of death wrestles your nostrils Launch the Polaris, the end doesn't scare us When will this cease The warheads will all rust in peace Bomb shelters filled to the brim Survival such a silly whim World leaders sell missiles cheap Your stomach turns, your flesh creeps High priests of holocaust, fire from the sea Nuclear winter spreading disease The day of final conflict All pay the price The third world war Rapes peace, takes life Back to the start, talk of the part When the Earth was cold as ice Total dismay as the sun passed away And the days where black as night Eradication of Earth's Population loves Polaris Share this post Link to post

Posted May 15, 2010 Ooh, I have so many favorite lyrics. |D "You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." Imagine -John Lennon "That's the time you must keep on trying. Smile, what's the use of crying. You'll find that life is still worthwhile, if you just smile." "I might have to wait, I'll never give up. I guess it's half time and the other half's luck. Wherever you are, whenever it's right, you'll come out of nowhere and into my life." Haven't Met You Yet -Michael Buble Also a big fan of the old Disney movies :3 "The world, for once, in perfect harmony, with all its living things." Can You Feel The Love Tonight -The Lion King "You can own the Earth and still, all you'll own is Earth until you can paint with all the colors of the wind." Colors of the Wind -Pocahontas "I know every mile will be worth my while. When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong." I Can Go The Distance -Hercules. Share this post Link to post
