Okay. I was letting my mind wander the other day and I thought of a cool idea:

What do you prefer more? Dragons with Feathered wings or dragons with Webbed wings?

In case you don't know what I'm talking about, here's some examples! smile.gif

*Feathered: user posted image

I also thought this thread (and when I put up a poll) could be [possibly] helpful for TJ to see what styles/types of dragons are more favorable amongst everyone if he is going to release some new breeds. Of course, this is probably wrong, so please, please- no one brick or shoot me..... ^^;;

....otherwise this was mainly just for fun!!! xd.png

And now for my vote!!!

I like both types of wings, but I prefer feathered wings just a little more. wink.gif

Webbed. It is very hard to get good looking feathered wings looking right on sprites that size, and it is not that common to see one that has completely correct feathered wings.

Webbed.

It's a traditional dragon wing and when I think of dragons, I think webbed. Not that I don't like feathers, I do and the ones in the Cave are great, but webbed can work with more designs, I think.

I honestly don't mind.

As a conceptor, I find the interesting bit is how well it fits in with the concept. The BBW was webbed because it was meant to be a simple, rather plain dragon except for the cheast- so no feathers. But if I came up with a dragon that would look better with them, they'd be on in no time, trust me.

So, yeah, variety is the spice of life.

I like both, but am a fan of webbed wings. This might have something to do with the fact that I love bats...

Whatever suits the sprite.

I'm staid and traditional in what I consider to be a 'dragon', but there are many other wonderful creatures and wing styles to suit them all.

Feathered is lovely.

What I would like to see is a feathered-winged aggressive dragon. Because the violent dragon breeds we have now are all webbed.

You know, a beautiful but deadly type?

Love both but prefer webbed wing.

Webbed are more traditional, but I don't have a preference. I like whatever looks best for that breed of dragon. smile.gif

I could not vote either, I do not have preference, although it might also depend on the individual dragon ...

Webbed looks more 'dragony' but my favorite sprite is the White dragon. so....both?

I enjoy both webbed and feathered. Some dragons look better with webbed, others feathered. I myself draw dragons with both feathered or webbed wings. I like to draw feathered more cause I have always been able to draw feathers.

I voted webbed, because those are what everyone thinks of when they think of "dragons."

But I'm open to feathered wings (the wings of the whites have long had a place in my heart and the wings of the canopies are lovely, too). I wouldn't mind some more of those.

Keep in mind, though, there's more than just "feathered" and "webbed" to choose from. Silvers and Sweetlings have no wings at all (the Sweetlings have little feathered...things, but those are not wings) and the Water and Deep Sea dragons are "wyrms" in which they have no wings or legs either, though they do have fins and flippers.

Edit: I have long wished TJ would allow us to vote on a release. He let the mods do it; I think it would be nice if he'd let us do it. Oh, not all [random number here] completed dragons, but maybe choose 25 types and then have us vote the five to release, or something.

Now that would be fun. wink.gif

There are so many lovely sprites languishing in DC's version of Development Hell.
