Just found that one of my Christmas dragon's offspring was named after the (so far only) named parent (which isn't the Christmas dragon). Mine was named for the code "epZD7" which got turned into Epzee Deisen. Looks like the name was liked as her offspring got named Deisen Magic Zam 2

 

And I did my part for such thing for another's pair recently; I hope Vaprrenon is tickled to find out what I named that horse dragon from her pair I found in the AP...

I've only had a small handful of offspring being named after their parents.

 

I can't recall the others but I've had a recent one turn up Meet Moonstone Tenpei Getsuei who has been named after her mother's side of the family :3

This little fella was the first offspring of my first CB Silver. I had originally bred it for a friend, but it got auto-abandoned, because I'd forgotten to clear my scroll. -.-

So I was really happy when somebody not only snatched it off the AP to raise it, but also named it after the parents. And they even put my scroll-suffix on it.

I have several offspring from some of my Valentine's that have been named after their parents or at least follow the theme. Some of these happened awhile ago some are new though.

 

First is the Sweetling Dainty Pink Heart who is named for his mother Fuchsia's Heart and his father Keeper of the Hearts

 

Next we have a pair of Rosebud sisters, My Rose & Tabi Ryuu Chi (Not sure of the intended meaning (Dragon traveling the earth?) idk but it's in Japanese as are both parent's names) both are named at least for their mother Itoshii Bara (loosely meaning 'Lovely Rose') and maaaybe the father Kawairashii Yume (loosely meaning 'Lovely/Sweet Dream'

Finally we have two Heartseeker brothers, from the same clutch even, Kanbashii Tea (Kanbashii = fragrant) and Blessed Hot Cocoa their father is Kanbashii Girichoco (loosely, 'Fragrant Obligatory gift chocolate' and their mother Kanbashii Koucha (loosely, 'Fragrant Black-tea') ((guess the mother's breed :U))

Ahaha. I realize this is more than a month later, but I was just killing time by trawling the thread and found this.

 

Most of my bred dragons try to take something from their parents' names if I can, particularly if there's a clear theme through the whole lineage. Some exceptions include Shimmers/Tinsels (which get named from their original CB for my personal ease of reference). ^-^

Once I dropped a mint because I was trying to breed reds. His dad was shimmerkin from Erno and all my dragons have prince at the front of their names and the AP'd mint was named Prince's Erno.

I love it when this happens! Two of the valentine eggs I bred and abandoned got picked up by the same person and they named them after their parents which was awesome. They were called Javidariel (from Javid and Yukariel) and Serzerulani (from Sirvada and Zerulani). I thought it was really cute.

I have two dragons, one named CreepsMcPasta and the other named MsCreepyPasta, and I gifted one of their offspring on Take an Egg, Leave an Egg and the owner named the child Creepsee. And then there's the other child, who was named 2GF PB FT52f. I don't understand that name ?_?

I like the name someone gave to a Sweetling I bred: from "Sweet Heartstrings" they got "Heartstring Instrument". I also bred an Arsani from an Imp named "Milk and Insect Legs", and the owner named it "Insect Huntress". Quite appropriate!

 

And then there's the other child, who was named 2GF PB FT52f. I don't understand that name ?_?

Looks like "2nd Gen Female Purebred" and then the code.
