Posted March 1, 2011 Not really named after my dragons, but this was something that made me smile. I have no idea who the scroll owner is, but I have to say, I must thank them for the compliment. http://dragcave.net/lineage/l0iX That's so sweet. I just named this dragon. I had to shorten some parts a little because it wouldn't fit. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 4, 2011 I was checking offspring I don't own today, when I found this girl. No idea who the scroll owner is, but it made me smile to see that they'd incorporated "Ruadh" into the name as well! Share this post Link to post
Posted March 4, 2011 I surname all my dragons with a variant of my scroll name (Sentimental thing I know, but whatever), so it was very interesting to see an egg that I had abandoned getting a name that incorporated said surname. My 1st Gen Black and one of my Ribbon Dancers have a daughter who's owner used the surname along with what I presume to be what they use for a surname. Lineage I should probably go through my dragons and start naming them where applicable. Or else I'll just start with my next few dragons. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 6, 2011 (edited) One of my dragons, Cylen, has some children that I abandoned. None of them are named except for one called Cyleran, presumably after his father. It makes me smile every time I see it. Edited March 6, 2011 by FeatherTail Share this post Link to post
Posted March 6, 2011 The offspring of one of my dragon pairs was named after me. I'm honestly touched. Share this post Link to post

Pink, with all the toast and coffee drinks in its background. Personally, I've had orange cappuchino along the way, but I'm not so sure about strawberry! Share this post Link to post
Posted March 17, 2011 I bred my gold, Stunningfire, to a ridgewing, Pale Flight, and abandoned the offspring. Whoever got it named it Dawning's Stunning Flight. That made me feel all fuzzy and warm inside ^w^ Share this post Link to post
Posted March 17, 2011 I just recently saw this guy I bred a while ago. THANK YOU!!!! http://dragcave.net/lineage/0MmT Share this post Link to post
Posted March 17, 2011 This is one of my niece's dragons! Pink, with all the toast and coffee drinks in its background. Personally, I've had orange cappuchino along the way, but I'm not so sure about strawberry! Tell her I send my gratitude. Lol, I've been dying for people to name progeny from that lineage after the parents for a long time Not to mention that actually was my first ever lineage project. It was to consist of primarily breakfast foods / coffee drinks... but I abandoned it to start even gen projects. However I still enjoy breeding the offspring just for the lulz And I've had a try at drinking Blueberry Cappuchino.. its better than chocolate covered blueberries, for real! Posted March 17, 2011 I picked up one of my Electric dragons from the AP. The parents were named Spark Wave and Fury Sparks, so I named her Fury Wave! Share this post Link to post
Posted March 18, 2011 I love it when this things happen! This was my very first lineage experiment, one I'm still keeping on when I have a little time, and simply seeing some of my dragons be named after their ancestors makes me very happy. http://dragcave.net/lineage/e61q http://dragcave.net/lineage/CnkA Share this post Link to post
Posted March 22, 2011 I've been naming after parents more often now. It really helps when I can't come up with a name on my own, But how about parents named after children. http://dragcave.net/lineage/3QTp I got this one from a friend who didn't have a name for the magi mother and chose one very appropriate for her after I named the child. I don't breed my dragons often, I do so even less now, but I did breed a couple of pebbles in hopes of a geode: http://dragcave.net/lineage/8klX http://dragcave.net/lineage/11gC Both were first children and were picked up by different people and both carried on the name. It made me smile that both were kept and named even though they were just pebbles. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 22, 2011 I definetely love it when I see that someone who has my dragon's child, has given a name after the parents to it. C: Share this post Link to post
Posted March 23, 2011 I found Burning Fate (http://dragcave.net/lineage/CjV9) today, the offspring of my Delicate Fate, Glowing Fate, Bloody Fate, and Ribbon Fate, and went to the user's scroll only to discover they had another offspring from my scroll, also named after parents, The Temptest of Fate (http://dragcave.net/lineage/AZWZ). And now I'm very happy over here. I like seeing my surname continued. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 23, 2011 I have many pairs who match in naming on my scroll. I love to see people name the children after the parents what ever the theme is. Like I have a few pairs I will name off here. maybe here someone got one of children Sunk x Titanic Egypt x Oblisk (spell wrong I think) Troop X Soldier Naruto x kakshi (spelled wrong sorry) Incernerate x cup of coffee Cupcake Thuwed x Flirtious Frosting Rainbow x PInk Cookie x Dough Sure x Darling beTJ x uWoN Hook x Rod Judgement Day x The End is here violet hour x Honeymoon Teenager x Preganticy (mind the spelling) Ornaments x Christmas Trees Presents x Joys And many others I just cant think of off the bat. See to my scroll to look for more 8D. Share this post Link to post
Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I've been trying to do this lately when I snatch eggs from the AP. My personal naming rule is song lyrics. The real fun is trying to work the parents' names in while still fitting my scheme. http://dragcave.net/lineage/3uvG http://dragcave.net/lineage/Qfoh - so pleased with this one, even if it is silly http://dragcave.net/lineage/t0ip http://dragcave.net/lineage/u14C http://dragcave.net/lineage/eeCF and a pair of mine have produced these two: http://dragcave.net/lineage/3kco http://dragcave.net/lineage/AsL8 Edited March 23, 2011 by ihavefoundmyfeet Share this post Link to post
Posted March 23, 2011 (edited) I love naming dragons for their parents. My CB dragons have their own surname (Cyr) but when I pick up a bred egg I try to come up with an appropriate name based on its lineage. So far I have: http://dragcave.net/lineage/cR5M http://dragcave.net/lineage/rOjP http://dragcave.net/lineage/LGs9 http://dragcave.net/lineage/NJ6C I also have this egg: http://dragcave.net/lineage/teHR I won't name it until it genders, of course. Posted March 24, 2011 If an egg or hatchie I pick up off the AP has named parents, I usually try to incorporate them somehow. Mostly recently I gave this black hatchie a name associated with the parents' very specific naming theme. It took a bit of research, but I'm hoping they'll appreciate that someone out there loved it enough to carry it on. <3 Share this post Link to post
