Everyone seemed to be on guard when they stepped into the cave, glancing about at the darkness. Something was grating against the stone, growling out words to cause uneasiness with those who were in the cave. Xtero frowned under the cowl of his cloak, not liking how he was called little. He was pretty tall, but what did his height have to do with anything? However, before the voice mentioned about the necromancer, it mentioned about there being no water... Xtero glanced over at the elemental, who seemed rather concerned by the fact. Quietly the necromancer reached into his cloak and pulled out a container of water. Unscrewing the top partially he reared back and threw the container into the darkness. He heard it smacked against a hard surface of stone and water splashing as the force caused the top to fly off. "The smallest of dogs is the hunter of badgers," he murmured, unscrewing another top from one of many containers of water from underneath his cloak. He had been storing them since the boat trip, and being so queasy he hadn't been able to drink any of it. They were just weighing him down, and he had a ton of them so why not give one of the people of this group a hand? They were suppose to be all working together, right? And since Xtero hadn't been doing much of anything for his group, he felt as if he needed to make up to them.

When Kira heard the sound of something else inside the cave, her shotgun was immediately ready to be fired at any moment at whatever it was. The sound filled the entire cave, making it a challenge to pinpoint its location, but she had confidence that she would find it. The creature seemed to use its location to its advantage as well as play mind games with it's enemies. Whether that was a sign that it was a weak physical fighter or not had yet to be determined, and she wasn't going to underestimate it.

Zhiess was quickly on the alert when he heard some thing making sounds. His scythe appeared in his hands, gripping the pole tightly. If anything, he didn't want this creature to get the drop on him, or anyone for that matter. He stayed close to Sooty, watching out for anything.

A harsh sound, whispers of fear-mongering words, and one of the most horrible laughs that Sooty had ever heard filled her ears. She saw the vampire pulling out her gun, and decided she'd draw her own. The short-barreled shotgun glinted dully in the light of the glow-sticks. Her ears twitched, catching the sounds better.

"Sounds like it's up ahead," she muttered to Zhiess, who was holding a large scythe.

She walked close to him, yellow eyes darting around to catch the slightest movement. They eventually walked into a cavern. The tunnel widened, stalagmites and stalactites lined the dark walls, and made columns of rock. There were many things that the Pharaoh could have hidden behind, but the grating sound, like a twist of hooves against stone, was coming from the back of the cavern.

"It's up there," she guessed, indicating the direction with a nod.

After traveling further Sooty spoke of where the beast should be, which Kira thought to be correct. She took aim with her gun and fired off the rounds in her gun. Hardly a second after the bullets raced towards the back of the cavern and exploded upon impact of whatever was back there, she had already reloaded her gun and took aim once more, watching for any movement.

Zhiess jumped slightly at the sudden gun fire, watching dirt then fly at the back of the cavern. His mind quickly kicked in and realized that the dirt could be used as cover by whatever was back there. With a swing of his scythe, a strong gust of wind swiftly blew away all of the dirt to leave the air clear again.

Bullets exploded at the cave wall just moments after he had skittered away from the place. Shards of rock were blown outward, and the ground shook from the force of the small explosions. Dirt sprayed out, dusting his back with a thin layer of soil, as he crouched down, behind another rock. Just a little closer, he thought. Then I will have them.

Sooty, aiming her gun toward the back of the cavern, twitched her ears and watched as Zhiess directed a current of air to blow away the dust hanging in the still air of cave. Silence fell, and a soft dripping of water could be heard further into the cave. A low chuckle echoed through the stillness, giving the shifter the chills.

"Come out, you freak!" she growled, pinning her ears back and fluffing up her tail.

Fur started to ripple over her skin, and nails formed claws. Sooty halted the transformation there. Midnight black fur coated her surface, and her hands were tipped with wicked claws. Her eyes gleamed yellow, and her feline tongue was rough in her mouth. She lifted her nose, scenting the dead air of the desert cave. Dust, sand and a foul smell came from all around them. A low snarl bubbled from her throat, and her tail twitched in irritation. The half-shifted feline padded forward, her eyes narrowing to slits.

He almost had her. Poison dripped from the tip of his curving tail, which arched slowly above the rock he crouched behind. He leaped, slashing at her with his feline claws. She snarled, jumping back and returned the attack. The thin claws raked across his cheek and he snapped at her hand. The gun was lifted in his face, and he dodged to the side just as she pulled the trigger. The pellets were embedded in the dirt, pinging away from the cave wall. He jabbed at the others with his tail, crouching, as if to pounce.

"Hello," the Pharaoh growled.

It was time to play.

Tia moved back, shying behind the other forces. She had done her job, not it was up to them.

Zack closed his eyes, and spead his wings and suddenly a sword formed in his hands. Next, he removed the barrier around his mind, and was inveloped in the sound of the voices around him. Opening them he seemed to burst with speed as he used his full range of abilities to come between the others and the beast, he jumped up, meeting the sheer strength or Arch sword with the tail. "Guys! I can read his mind! He's going to attack with the claws or tail!"

Ignoring all that was said, Kira simply watched the movements of the others, dodging the creature's tail as it "greeted" her with it. She returned the gesture by firing at its tail, her bullets making their way to the creature without hitting any of her allies. They wouldn't exactly appreciate bullets tearing trough them just so then she would hit her target.

The bullets exploded again, only this time exploded out with a sticky, gooey substance that would stick to anything it touched like super glue. The stuff would retain a slight elasticity, enough so that it would hold strong to whatever pulled against it. Just in case her allies got caught in it, she had on her the stuff that would free them from it without a hassle. If that was able to get a hold of its tail, that would be one aspect of this creature that would stop being a problem.

Zhiess paused with his powers of wind as he heard the resounding gunfire, not wanting to affect their aim with his wind. The bullets moved much too fast for him to have any hopes of keeping them align with their target using his powers. Once the shots had been fired, he created a strong gust of wind in attempt to knock the creature off balance, if even for a moment, to allow anyone else a chance at a good attack.

The fallen angel stepped in front of the mousy elemental, who had run back, and drew a shining sword. The cave demon gave it a once over, and recognised - too late - the intrusion on his thoughts. He growled as the sword intercepted his jab, stepping back as the fallen called out to his team.

Well, I haven't got a firearm, he thought, giving the man a dull look.

What a shame; he had almost hit that pale vampire with his tail, too. With another jab at the group, he began to back away. He needed them closer. A gun exploded again, and the bullets hit their mark. He yowled in disgust as the goo enveloped the poison sac, close to the end of his tail. The demon could still use his toxic sting, but the sticky and rapidly thickening goo was rather gross. He sensed the rush of wind, the faint breath of foreshadowing, just before it hit. The demon dropped low to the ground, narrowing his eyes at the sand and dust the rush of air kicked up. He skittered backward, and down a tunnel. They would have to follow him, now.

Kira followed him with a bullet instead, aiming for his legs with another bullet of the sticky substance to limit his movements. He was beginning to retreat down a tunnel when she fired, and luckily Zhiess had blown all the dust out of her line of sight of the creature.

((Come on people, post something!))

((Sorry for not posting guys, I am working now so I only get about one free day a week.))

Jeff smiled at the necromancer when he threw the water down the tunnel. Now it was time for him to enter the fight again. He waited until the necromancer finished and headed into the cavern where he could hear his team mates fighting. He didn't go to them however, and instead went to the pool of water, and gathered as much of it as he could, bringing it close so that it wouldn't evaporate as quick. Jeff only looked up once from his tedious work and that was when the fallen angel yelled and a gun went off. This made Jeff work harder and faster until he got to the point that he was able to continue down the tunnel and meet up with his comrades. When he got there, the enemy was retreating further into a tunnel, and from behind his comrades, Jeff sent a long and thin spike flying towards the creature close to the floor to make it hard to detect.

The goop collected around his hind legs, fastening him to the floor and making him stumble. He snarled, arching his tail and turning his head to glare at the Slayers. Something glinted, low to the ground, and he lifted his fore-paw just in time to avoid the shard of water. The Pharaoh growled, low in his throat, and bared his fangs. Wind buffeted him and he stumbled again, unable to hold his balance ((Hehe.)) with his hind paws stuck to the rock below him. The demon pulled, trying to free himself, even reaching back and clawing at the hardening - and toughening - substance. He cursed the creation, the creator, and all of the creator's values as he struggled.

Sooty dusted herself off, before completing her change. She wriggled out of her clothing and unsheathed her claws. The feline padded toward the demon, returning the threatening growls and baring her own fangs.

Jeff made a low almost growling sound. He took the rest of his water and then separated it into the air to create a light level of humidity. Jeff knew that because of the fact that they were in a cave, the cool air would keep the water from evaporating. He then moved the water into the largest part of the cave and next to the monster. Jeff then used the water to make hundreds of small needles. All the needles turned and pointed towards the monster. Jeff fell to his knee, his breath deep and his mind focused on the amount of power he was using. He sent even needle flying at the monster, and yet stopped all that may hit Sooty.

Zack followed the group, and took the chance when the monster fell, he dodged behind its back to avoid being seen as it focused its energy on the hardening substence and the attackers. He spread his wings wide, gave a hiss and leapt at the throaght, his sword pointed ahead to pierce the skin. He gave it extra force with a big thust flap of his wings, increasing the strength. Finished with the attack, he leapt back and out of the way as his sword vanished. He realised his glasses had fallen off and turned his eyes in the direction of them, near the monster, before closing his eyes and covering them with his hand. He would be no more use in this battle.

Needles pierced his hide as the panther stalked toward him. He couldn't run. There was no escape. His fore-paws were free, as well as his tail, but not his hind legs. Thick, tough goo held him in place. He struck out at the black cat, in his face and growling at him. She ducked just in time to miss his tail, but not his claws. He raked red lines across her cheek, causing her to screech and yowl. The cat fought back, clawing at his face. He was too distracted by keeping his eyes out of her reach to notice the armed angel with the sword.

He first realised that the cat had backed away. Then there was the flood of red. Had he got her? No, it didn't smell like her. His ears flicked and his limbs shook. What...?

The Pharaoh collapsed, his eyes going dull as he bled out. Sooty sat back, staring. Zack had managed to kill the monster, she turned to grin at him, a cat-grin, with fangs gleaming, but he had his hand over his eyes. She blinked, padding over to him. The shifter murmured questioningly, nudging him with her furred paw and tilting her head.

Zack took a few steps away.

"Don't come any closer Sooty, I need to find those sunglases." He blindly growped around the ground, his wings folded behind his back. He slowly approached the carcass, completely missing his glasses as he continued forward.

"Where are they they must be somewhere around here" his desperation was clear in his voice.
