Posted August 21, 2012 I looked through your scroll for those two dragons, and I'd say yours didn't directly reference alcohol like my descriptions did. Then again, my dragons' names were something like "99 Bottles of Beer". @that CAPS description. D'aaaw. I accepted that one. Not having read your descriptions, I can't really comment as to that, but apparently the ban on alcohol in descriptions isn't as absolute as the moderator comment implies. I was thinking that there might be a way to reword your descriptions to make them acceptable. Share this post Link to post
Posted August 21, 2012 (edited) "BBBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!" "Hello, Ringrr! How are you," the 'Night Fury' answered. Ringrr has many magical traits- she is constantly healthy, she tastes good to plant-eaters, and she is GIGANTIC, all because of Angel. The "Night Fury", oblivious to the fact that the sleeping vine was not a plant, dive-bombed her, casting a spell and trying to eat her. When Ringrr, half-awake, grabbed Angel with an "arm," it broke off and Angel made it into a staff. Ringrr forgave her, and often calls to her. She calls Ringrr's odd roar a "Ringtone" and answers the call using telepathy- through the staff. The two are best friends now, and are like sisters. If one was male, they would probably mate. wat. Also @beacker1160 I just saw the caps-lock description... THIS DRAGON LIKES SCREAMING SO MUCH THAT SHE FORCED HER OWNER TO NAME HER AFTER HER PERSONAL TERM FOR WRITTEN SCREAMING! HER CONSTANT SCREAMING KEEPS THE OTHER DRAGONS UP AT NIGHT, BUT THAT DOESNT STOP HER FROM RANTING. SHE ENJOYS BELLOWING SO MUCH THAT SHE BOUND HER OWNER IN A MAGICAL OATH TO ENSURE THAT ALL THINGS RELATED TO HER BE WRITTEN, "LOCKED IN CAPITALS," ALSO KNOWN AS CAPS LOCK, OR SAID LOUDLY. Note to mod (Please remove if approved): This dragon had an old description that was in all caps that was approved. It really isn't fair to me for it to be rejected for that when it used to have a description in all caps. Edited August 21, 2012 by Lady Artemis Share this post Link to post

Posted August 25, 2012 This is MA11M, whose mate is dCay. I think this description is perfect for him. Thank you to whoever wrote the first comment. Your the first to say they were romantic <3 That description is awesome. Nuff sed :3 2 dragons that light fires and watch towns burn to death and then torture live prey until they die X3 then feast on the organs o.o (maybe you should add that? ) ----------------------------------------------- Wrote a sad description for an inbred dragon of mine's yesterday (has 113 dragons that show up more than once on the lineage, I think that's quite a lot). Got this comment that made my day: @The Sickly Hatchling Description: The Sickly Hatchling is a frozen red dragon. He is disabled and can only drag himself along on three legs, and is often confined to a small nest in the nursery. As an egg, his shell was thin and cracked, and several parts were strangely yellow tinted, and the white dragons of his clan worked almost nonstop keeping him alive. When he finally hatched with only three usable legs, he was frozen to spare him misery. No one else can guess the cause of his disability, but the white dragons know it is inherited, and the hatchling is an inbreed. Since then, he is able to live a quiet life, dragging himself to the forest to visit the birds and animals and back to the nursery for his meals and sleep. He will never know what it is like to have a mate and kids, and eventually, the paralysis will spread up his body and into his brain, killing him forever. However, he is ready for death, and comforts himself by thinking he will die in the care of his friends and the white dragons that saved his life. Posted August 25, 2012 I have a problem with descriptions that include the death of dragons. That's contrary to the main description of dragons. "...nearly unlimited life spans," and "no one has found a dragon that has died of old age." Well, you said it yourself: died of old age. If the description has to do with dragons who were killed (which is how grown-up dragons die - you kill them) or died of, say, illness or disease, it is not exactly contrary. Posted August 25, 2012 Had to resubmit a whole batch after being struck by the weird character error. It was worth it, though, as I got a couple of comments. Aib is a dragon of few words. He gives the impression in conversation that gold is being deducted from his hoard for every syllable he utters. When possible, Aib prefers to forgo conversation altogether, resorting instead to conveying his thoughts via gestures and pantomime. A favorite game among the young local dragons is to direct a conversation in such a way that Aib has no choice but to make a long response, then watch and laugh at his distress as he tries to avoid the inevitable. Accept: Well done! I love it! Accept: Great Desc <3 ~Cladus Baratun writes (via a specially enchanted quill) all of the plays that the Skylark Players perform. This is no great hardship, as Pelumbar insists that they all draw from traditional draconic theater, and thus from a relatively small number of character archetypes and standard plots. The trick is making the plays interesting, something that Baratun still struggles with. Posted August 26, 2012 When this hatchling was found she was very sad and scared. She didn't remember why she was suddenly in a different cave and Snowytoshi's dragons weren't nice to her. The Magmas and the Hellfires were always threatening to melt her and none of the other growing hatchlings wanted her near them. So one day Silence All took pity on her and froze her, letting her rest in eternal sleep. Posted August 26, 2012 Solum is one of the Omega males of the clan, and is usually good for a laugh. He is always coming up with jokes, and can always bring a smile to the gloomiest of faces. Most of the other clan members don't know this about him, but his jolly demeanor is just a facade. Behind the thin veneer, he is a cold and bitter dragon, who is futilely seeking revenge for his entire family's death. They were all killed in a raid from Quator's band of rogues. The rest of the clan saw what had happened, and offered him a slightly nicer den and increased rations. Then they all forgot about it. Solum was crushed. He had lost everything, and all he got was a rushed "I'm so sorry" and some food. He became angry and bitter, and began working on a plot to assassinate the current Alpha's entire family, to show them how it felt to lose everything and have nobody care. Posted September 1, 2012 Orion Starmage studies the heavens. More of an astrologer than an astronomer, he uses his knowledge of the stars to tell fortunes. As his memory isn't what it was, Orion finds himself forced increasingly often to make up stars and even constellations on the spot, rather than risk his reputation by referring to his notes. As a result, his horoscopes are invariably entertaining. In one memorable instance, Orion's mind went completely blank, and he had to make something up based on what his human client was wearing - the one time in history when someone's fate has been governed by the Riding Boot of Prosperity and the Traveling Cloak of Good Tidings. Posted September 2, 2012 (edited) I just tossed together a description while eating Doritos and this happened: I Want My Nommy, or Nommy for short, is known for his large appetite. Even the largest meals can't fill him. He always pesters dangershy for food, saying "I'm hungryyyyyy! Feed me, danger! I'm hungry!" and giving a sad face with puppy eyes. dangershy usually responds with "You're ALWAYS hungry, Nommy." and shoos him away, to when he'll go to Hatchisitter and ask for her to catch him something to eat. She abides with a chuckle and goes to catch him some fish, which is his favorite kind of food. Fruity Litlte Theif will sometimes share some of the fruit she steals with him. Nommy tries to repay her, but so far has come up with nothing. He's really a nice dragon with a slight tap of violence, but it hardly to never shows. Nommy always hangs around by the river near dangershy's cave, hoping that he can one day catch something for himself. Can't wait for the comments. EDIT: also, the CAPS LOCK DESCRIPTION is PieMaster's descriptions. EDIT AGAIN: Nommy's description was approved. I was hoping for some comments! Posted September 8, 2012 (edited) Leo Trotski's Mexican Fate (white hatchling) This hatchling is a revolutionary. Born in the Russian Cave, he joined the Bolschewiki, a group of Red Dragons under the leadership of Lenin. During the October Evolution, a fateful event where dragons of all colors turned red and revolted against the Czar, Trotski was one of the leaders of the revolution. Later, Trotski was appointed Military Commissar and was in command of the Red Dragon Army. He was regarded as one of the potential successors of Lenin, but was outmaneuvered by a Red Dragon called Stalin, Secretary General of the Caveionist Party. Trotzki was expelled from the Central Committee and had to live in his Mexican exile. . In a series of show trials, Trotski was convicted of being the mastermind behind counterrevolutionary ploys. Many dragons believed that the accusations were true, even more so because Trotski is a White hatchling - white being the color associated with counterrevolutionary forces during the Civil War. Posted September 9, 2012 A description for a genderless Pillow hatchie: Like genderless hatchlings tend to do, Noodly has assigned herself a gender. It seems a little more dignified, after all, to be a "she" or a "he" rather than an "it." Noodly sees herself as a female and insists that she would definitely have been one, had her keeper not cast a freezing spell on her when she was in the early stages of childhood. She believes she should have been a female, and nobody questions it. After all, she has a flair for anything even remotely feminine, a certain fondness for sunsets and flowers and all things girly. Noodly has edged her way into the hearts of all of the other Pillows who adore her for her generosity and friendliness. They have even bestowed upon her an affectionate nickname - "Nunu" - but unfortunately she quite dislikes this dubbing and refuses to answer to it. Accept: Abstain: I think it's a bit sexist to assume females are all about flowers and girly things. Noted, I myself don't believe that females are all about flowers and girly things, but I simply meant that Noodly, being genderless, believes she would have been female because of those traits. If someone didn't know their gender, they would have to make their best guess, right? I also wrote a description for a male Pillow earlier that, once I looked back on it, may have been a little insensitive, saying that the male was often told he "should've been born a female" because he was so motherly and caring. I got a comment about how fathers very often had the same nurturing instincts, realized my mistake, fixed it, and got a nice comment back: "Ah, this is much better without the "should have been female" part! A lot more open-minded and gender-role blind. I like it! " Thanks <3 Share this post Link to post

Posted September 10, 2012 As a young child, 5taff was the mascot of the staff here at Estarvia. She was often melancholy and quiet, always shying away from the others there, because she was so brightly colored and, well, wanted by the dragon keeper. They had never even seen a dragon like her until she came to their humble, and at the time, small dragon keep. They asked her many questions, asked about her strange name, asked about her powers, and when they learned she had none, they slowly shunned her, until it was nothing but a quiet aloofness among them that was hers to do with what she pleased. He particularly likes trying out untested healing and enhancement methods on his friends, and has, on more than one occasion, accidentally crippled them for small amounts of time. Though he claims they don't mind one bit, his friends always seem a bit reluctant to let him get at them. Though, if you were to ask Sixy, she would never be able to tell Apricca apart from any other dragon. When Apricca hatched, her mother never gave her any love or attention. Posted September 12, 2012 Here're two that are currently pending: On the outside, this dragon is rather quiet and mild-mannered, and she can usually be found trying to "help out" her cavemates. Unfortunately, she is quite clumsy, and generally ends up making more work for others. She's blind to this fault of hers, and so blames others for their failures caused by her. On the inside, she is angry and vindicative, formulating schemes for revenge. Her mantra is "One day I'm going to evolve, and then everyone will be sorry!". She often mutters it to herself, particularly after a botched attempt at being helpful, but no one else understands what it means. User Comments Accept: Haha, Magikarp reference. Accept: Accept: Accept: Great description Yay! She was first in her initiation class, especially in claw-to-claw combat and long-range offensive spellcasting, but her instructors couldn't help but compare her to her parents' ranks, and now she questions whether or not she earned her top marks through her own merits or simply because of who she's related to.
