Hi!

As of today all adoptables were deleted, a limit was placed on the amount of cats we can have at once, and the number of clicks needed for a kitty to reach the next level has rediculouslt increased.

 

So since a topic for this site doesn't appear to have been made yet, I might as well start it off for all of us to benefit!

Unfortunately, the code links don't appear to work outside our sigs for now. So hopefully we can at least provide links to our clans and identify eachother.

Hey, I signed up for it when I saw this. Love the icons! The site won't work for me currently though (it's the "Cannot Find Webpage" thingy). I call my clan Leafclan. Can't wait for mah kittehs to level up!

Liked the site until I realized you can only adopt five at a time.

I know you can breed, but it's still kind of retarded to have a restriction. If any new cats come out that you want, you have to get rid of all but four just to get the new one.

So I likely will not be returning to the site.

Honestly; it doesn't work long time. I mean, If on DC you could only have 5 /dragons/ ever unless you bred them, no one would stick around.

 

At the moment, I'm giving the place a chance (despite being against the restrictions!) because I'm currently obsessed with the books. Over time, I'm thinking I'll probably loose interest too, unless it gets less restrictive. At the moment it's ridiculous. =/

 

Edit: Okay, bit later on, time-wise and the site is seriously growing on me more and more; so many things are being added that it makes it really fun. Some of the planned features sound /awesome/ and I really can't wait for them too.

But is it really? The artwork on them, I'm 98% sure, is original. They aren't using any copyrighted logos, images, cover arts, etc. What do you guys think?

I know there are some issues, and I posted some solutions. This blew up in my face and caused major drama ... but it has settled down now. (unlike my negative karma! )

please click them, you can now produce hybrids only through breeding! (though I'll probibly never breed because it can kill the female ... )

You can't, because they use dynamic image codes. I've already tried to put them in my siggy.

Regardless of if the sprites used are their own, they look... somewhat ugly (from what I've seen). Looks as if the artist who made them is still learning to scratch. (I keep seeing them in signatures on MagiStream ¬¬)

Actually, I'm 100% sure the sprites of these cats came from the video game "Catz." It was an old game boy game. Ubisoft played a part in the game's making. Look up the game and compare the sprites.

I have the game Catz for both GameBoy and DS. Some look similar, but not necessarily the same pose or expression.

Perhaps, but I'm still kind of suspicious about it. You know? I don't know if the artist used the Catz sprites for reference or if they actually took and edited the sprites a little.

1. The adoptables have a limit, because SO MANY were created, that the site overloaded. We ARE working on getting a larger server, I believe.

 

2. Yes, the adoptables are from the game. They are released of Copyright.

3. Your cats died. The site is a simulation of the actual books, not just a site for people to overload the system with adoptables which sit there. And evolve. Like every other one. We have several new features in the works, and there will be ranking quests and "choose your path" stories, promotional cats, cats from the books, new breeds, and much, much more.

Don't be so quick to judge; lighten up!

How can you do that?! How can you sit there, read through my post, SEE that what you're doing is wrong, and not do anything about it!? That's unfair, not to mention immature. Your thirty-or-so followers obviously don't know the truth, and I'll give it to them, if it's the last thing I do.

 

..Why wouldn't they compare, hm? Layout, adoptables, I mean, come ON!

 

I swear, I won't force it off you, but think about what you're doing. It's not fully stealing, but it's making a lot of people upset. It's our idea, and you're taking that away from us! Please, I implore you, stop.. Or change your adoptables. Once we've implemented the ones I'm making, we'll no longer be held under copyright binds.

Your layout is the exact same, and you can't do that! Please, change at least the layout. It's really obvious and it puts YOU down just as much as it does us.

If you don't understand what I'm saying, then there's something wrong. Think of it from my perspective; you and your friends have an idea. You go through with it. Someone else, who was in on the idea, exploits you and uses it. It's legal, and not under copyright laws, but it makes the person upset. You've stolen, morally, it's wrong. It makes YOU a bad person. For trying to con us of our coding. No way. It's not cool. Please, take your site down.

Hey! This can be settled in a civilized manner!

The adoptables of the site this topic is about are going to change soon, correct? That should at least help out.

He shouldn't have to totally demolish his site, but I do believe he should at least change the layout a little, and come up with something the other site doesn't have to set it apart.

However, trying to con someone out of a sites secretes is very wrong and immoral. And at the very least an appology should be made.
