Posted June 14, 2011 (edited) That Voodoo that you do reminded me of my last trip to the Crescent City… Back in '99, I got a MAJOR roadtrip/pilgrimage itch and my friends in Mystick Krewe ov Satyrs invited me out to spend Hallowe'en with them. I'd just participated in the Burning Man Opera, Le Mystére de Papa Loko as one of the Damballim. Dambala and Ayida Wedo really got Their hooks in me and protected me on my journey. I saw the road and its markings as Dambala, endlessly strong and patient, stretching between San Jose, CA and New Orleans. We had an egg giveaway-fest on Mardi Gras and everyone was saying how much fun they had, and lamented that we only did it once a year. Well, Mardi Gras Krewes are active social orgs year-round and they do charity work the rest of the year. So we thought it would be a good thing to trade eggs amongst ourselves and gift out Mardi Gras eggs at one-month intervals. We decided on the first Tuesday of each month. Bal Tableaux go all day, midnight to midnight. You breed your Krewe of dragons and give out eggs. We had our first one just two weeks ago. Obviously, Teleport is going to make it much easier. Speaking of Teleport, if anyone needs Magi dragons to Teleport with, gimme a shout and I'll breed one for you. I have something like 16 and a new one's coming up in an hour or so. Well... technically I think Grammy has been using her Krewe name (Dragonfire) as a surname for all her Mardi Gras dragons. So just like me, using my prefix of BB, she could use any of the names your mom has because they'd register as being two different things due to the added word. Posted June 16, 2011 lol, guess I am not too subtle about my naming theme, huh? I am trying to use Dragonfire as scroll surname for all my cb's, except Nebula. And it has been convenient as you point out to be able to get some names that are already fairly worn out with variations by just adding a surname to them. Gabby, really appreciate the links. And I hope you won't mind if I do get some of the same names in the future. If anyone ever minds a name I use, please let me know now that we have ability to change them!
