Oops, it was counting frozens against your lock. That's fixed.

 

However it also counts dead items. Theres' not an easy fix for that... yet. I'm going to bed but I'll look at it soon and see if I can figure something out.

Like my signature image?  It's updated once an hour with stats from my scroll!  You can get your own too, just add this to your sig:

Fun! You might want to stash that on your page somewhere, as well, so even after it's lost in the thread, people will still be able to find it. I'm thinking either adding the code to the bottom of the page after the stats have been generated, or perhaps a separate button specifically for generating the code (since many people have major problems with figuring out what they're supposed to alter, where, how, etc.), either listed as another tool, or still on the results page, would work and be nice and simple.

This is awesome! The inbreeding checker is pure win, and I love the scroll status image too - it's now in my signature proclaiming that I be unlocked for once.

 

There should be a button for the inbreeding tool to put in signatures as well, to spread the word. <3 It saves so much work. I checked my 18th-gen gold Dorkface-Thuwed with this tool, and it confirmed that he has no inbreeding in his entire lineage. And now it will be sooo much easier to find him a mate without accidentally inbreeding! Thanks!

Awwwwwwww! Oh well, do what you have to do. I am sort of glad I am scroll locked and won't be picking up any AP eggs, though. I am already very dependent on that inbreeding checker!

Okay I looked over some things. We're having some strange connectivity issues here and it's alternately slowing down EDS, or the users on the LAN, or both. The site may be up and down for a while as I try to sort it all out. Hopefully once everything's resolved it should be much more responsive.

That's driving me crazy, 'cause I'd been expecting to be able to use the inbreeding tool to double-check some of my pairings before I breed them. And so I automatically open a new tab and try to go to EDS and...nothing.

Slight glitch in the scroll reporting process:

It's counting eggs as hatchlings. My report came up that I have 7 hatchlings, whereas I only have four. It might be counting my eggs as Hatchlings.

EDIT: There was an apologetic post here, but instead there are now NEW FEATURES!

 

* Maintenance Mode! The site should not completely shut down when I need to do network testing. Instead, I can flip it to Maintenance Mode. This prevents EDS from accessing dragcave.net (no adding scrolls, checking lineage, checking stats, or updating sig images), yet still allows some other site features to function (remove scroll, show existing sig image, soup viewer). So if you see the "maintenance mode" message when trying to perform some action, just check back in later. Hopefully much less intrusive.

 

* More Stats! I put in most of the doable suggestions, and added the code for auto-banner to the bottom of the report.

 

* Interesting Codes Check! Look below the new report and you'll find a section called Interesting Codes. What this does is check your scroll's ID numbers against the Scrabble Official Word List v2, and returns any codes you have which are also English words, complete with short definition. Fun times.

 

* Better Sig Image! Hatchlings count no longer includes Frozen Hatchlings. Dead eggs and hatchlings no longer count against scroll lock. (There may still be issues with Zombie Dragon unfrozen hatchlings, if those ever turn up. Also, adults and frozen hatchlings aren't checked for Dead, so those counts may be off if you've killed any. Minor annoyance.)

* Inbred Check sigbutton! Nobody else was making one so I did. Now someone can make a better one.
